The interior of the restaurant is so dirty, it’s extremely unappetizing. There is food and crumbs all over the seats and the floor, the floor is extremely dirty. Had to brush food off my seat and the table. The food came out quickly but didn’t taste as fresh or as good as it has in the past. They were also sold out of some of the popular options. The servers were nice and attentive and the food was alright but the condition of the restaurant and the lack of cleanliness makes me not want to go back or order from there. If that’s the front of house, imagine what the back looks like

I am personally a longtime fan of Katsuya since they first started in the early 2010s. I loved the generous portion, the crispy batter and the sauces.This location really disappoints. Like the other reviewer, you are greeted to a greasy / sticky floor. There is a very strong oil odour (like the smell of old kitchen that has not been cleaned) in the restaurant. The katsu batter is no longer crispy and portion size is nothing compared to the glory days of Katsuya.I want to love the brand but this restaurant has certainly gone downhill. It was saturday lunch time and there are only two tables including ours which speaks volume where this restaurant is heading.Maybe other Katsuya location is worth visiting.

The location didn't show closed so I paid for my order and the app showed that my order was preparing and will be delivered around 9.55 pm. When I tried to check the delivery time again, the tracking window just went away and the location shows like it's closed now. Now waiting for an answer from UberEat. Thanks Katsuya for ruining my evening.

Ordered via Uber eats.Food was not hot despite delivery driver taking the meals as soon as it was ready (and only a 6 minute drive from my residence which makes me believe they prepare food ahead of time and have it sit for deliveries).We couldn't even eat our meals as both side dishes wreaked heavily of mould. We called the restaurant to explain our concerns and come up with a resolution but instead was gaslighten and belittled over the phone by a gentleman (who obviously provided no name)This resturant and staff takes no accountability for their actions and will simply deflect anything negative thrown at them.Look at all the reviews recently about how sanitary their resturant is? I am not surprised considering we were served mouldy vegetables and rice.STAY AWAY.

Order Ubereat and pick up.First off, the interior is not very clean and floor is oily.Food is prepared on time, but the miso soup lid is not tightened properly and spill all over.The pork katsu taste ok but not outstanding. I have been to various locations and Vaughan is the worst.What makes me most disappointed was the 4 pcs of wings. On Uber menu, it says “Korean sauce” and didn’t say it’s spicy but it was spicy as hell!Also, there’s some chips that are at the bottle of the wings and they are all soggy.

[visited 2023 Dec] I came in for a late lunch service. Upon walking in, I noticed that the floor was very greasy, there were also crumbs on many of the seats across the restaurant. I ordered the Original Pork Loin Katsu. When I was served the soup that the waiter called “miso soup” I was baffled. There was no miso in sight (i.e. no grain floating in the soup). It was just soy sauce and water. The katsu was tender but oil was leaking from the frying, and juice was leaking from the inside that just looked like water diluting the sauce. it would be a better experience if they put the sauce separate and put the katsu on a bed of shredded lettuce to not let the juice affect the experience. And it needs to be fried properly and rest to avoid oil leakage. While the wait staff was nice and did what they could, I wouldn’t recommend this spot for the overall experience I had here considering the price of the menu items.

The quality has dropped significantly once they removed the cream cheese option and miso soup.Prior, you’d get 8 pieces of katsu at a fair price. Now you get 4 small pieces of katsu and it’s more expensive.Very disappointed, go anywhere else.

I have NEVER been to a place so disgusting in my life. Some of the staff or mostly the manager is so disrespectful to some of his associates and it’s annoying. More importantly after ordering pork katsu a couple hours later my stomach was hurting so bad and was throwing up constantly that night and luckily my daughter didn’t get sick.This place really needs to do some reflection and needs to trained on proper food preparation and handling.
