I tried Midori Ramen and went for their Signature Tori Paitan. The broth was really flavorful and super rich — definitely on the thicker side and very filling, I was full for hours. For appetizers we ordered the tako wasabi, which was really interesting and unlike anything I’ve had before, and the chicken karaage, which was basically juicy, crispy fried chicken and really tasty. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for hearty ramen and some fun appetizers.

Highly recommended for those who are fans of Japanese cuisine.
Tried this ramen place for the first time and absolutely loved it. Gave my 2 year old the Mini Buta Don and he loved eating it. Would definitely come back to eat here. The service was also incredible!

1. this is milk watered down with chicken broth, not Paitan.
2. noodles texture not chewy not firm, would have preferred store bought instant noodles.
3. decent chasiu though
4. slow service as others commented, waited 15mins or so
5. noticeable bleach smell

I was really excited to try this restaurant because the menu looked great, but unfortunately I couldn’t stay. As soon as I walked in, there was a very strong chlorine-like smell that was overwhelming. It made me feel nauseated, and I wasn’t able to dine in. Really disappointing experience given how good the food options seemed.

Food’s always good here. We regularly visit Midori between here and Richmond Hill location and the food and service is generally good. Exceptionally last night when we visited(party of 3) the chef in the kitchen just straight up blurted “we are currently very packed here sorry but not tonight”. Then the person who was helping the tables came, greeted us and we asked if we could get a table as we were okay to wait. He promptly set the expectation of the waiting time and it was a smooth sailing from thereon. It was however the first time that somebody in the hospitality industry had straight up rejected at entry to the guests, no wish no greeting and just showed how uninvited we were. We noticed similar behaviour with another party as well that came after us and they just left right there and then. I highly believe in Midori and their Japanese culture that they carry amongst them and not being welcoming is definitely not one of them which is why I deemed right to put up this review. Hope management corrects this behaviour from the employee otherwise what once was said as a packed restaurant will slowly start remaining empty only.

It was nice but not amazing. Took awhile to get our order. A lot of sauce used to enhance flavour but it took away from the main ingredients. It was expensive like most ramen restaurants.

We order 6 original Tori paitan! For to go! But they forgot the meat I was so disappointed!
Extremely slow service. Took 1 hour for them to serve the most mediocre ramen i had.
Id give a credit for the atmosphere but other than that, id give everything else a 0 star review.

My fiancé and I usually love visiting this Midori branch. It’s always less crowded, and the staff are typically amazing. However, our experience on September 1 was very disappointing.
We arrived around 3:10–3:20 PM and placed our usual order—2 Tori Buta and 1 Flavor Flight (not sure of the exact name). A couple who arrived after us got their food first, while we waited. We noticed the staff at the counter chatting and using their phones while preparing orders. We don’t mind casual conversation, but they weren’t attentive to customers.
After waiting more than 20-30 minutes (around 4pm), I went to the counter to ask about our order. I was shocked when the staff said there were no pending orders like, really? Eventually, a server admitted there was a system error. Meanwhile, the couple who arrived just a couple of minutes before us had already received their food. Really, a system error? 😂 Despite the branch being mostly empty, with only a few occupied tables (one table of four who already got their order, and three to four tables of two), it still took over an hour for our food to arrive. The staff never even bothered to check on us or ask if we’d ordered—apparently, our presence didn’t matter! 😂Their motto seemed to be, “Let the guests sit and wait forever—maybe they’re just here for free water and air conditioning?” 😂
We were hungry, frustrated, and could not enjoy our meal. The staff seemed inattentive and unaware of their customers’ needs. It’s disappointing because we have always had great experiences here, and this visit was the complete opposite.
We hope management addresses this issue so future customers don’t face the same experience.
