Best Tom Yum soup in Toronto!

I've been actively searching for a comparable restaurant and would recommend Thai Bamboo first.

If they switch broccoli with gylan, they're be the best hands down.

Relatives brought me here while I was visiting Toronto the other week -

Small shared parking lot here - but most places were closed at dinner time, so parking was plentiful - restaurant was kind of dim , and lacked lighting in my opinion.

Service was very quick and we were seated right away on a weekday night - wasn't busy at all - servers were friendly and made suggestions on what to order.

The red chick curry was average at best, found the chicken on the dryer side of things.
Pad Thai was also pretty average to me , nothing really stood out.
Had Tom Yum soup as well, that was pretty tasty and had a nice spice kick to it (not pictured - as I forgot)

Pricing and portions seemed fair - not sure if this was the best Thai in Toronto area, but I definitely have some better go to's in Vancouver.

Overall, it's worth a try - however, I'd probably try something else next time, since I'm not local.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced
They over book and cannot handle customers, then they tell you we have too many orders. They will bring over one of the dishes and 15 minutes later they'll bring over another. The staff is very unorganized and very unprofessional, terrible!

I recently dined at Thai Bamboo, the restaurant was busy at lunch but still were served very quick due to the excellent service. Great people and great location plenty of parking.

The culinary adventure extended to the appetizers, where the Fresh Spring Rolls stood out. Encased in delicate rice paper, the medley of crisp vegetables and herbs provided a refreshing prelude to the main courses. The accompanying dipping sauce added a subtle zest, enhancing the natural freshness of the ingredients.

Throughout the meal, the staff exhibited a genuine warmth and professionalism, attentively catering to our needs without intruding upon our dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations bespoke a deep-seated passion for their craft and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, Thai Bamboo encapsulates the essence of traditional Thai and Laotian cuisine, delivered with remarkable service in a congenial atmosphere. Whether one is seeking a quick yet fulfilling lunch or a leisurely dinner, this establishment promises a gastronomic experience that lingers pleasantly in memory. The combination of flavorful dishes, efficient service, and convenient location with ample parking renders Thai Bamboo a commendable choice for aficionados of Southeast Asian fare.

Absolutely the best Thai food in the GTA! The cold rolls, papaya salad, jungle chicken, Tom Yum soup, and Pad Thai are all amazing—our friends and family can’t get enough. The restaurant itself isn’t overly fancy, but it’s cozy and perfect for enjoying delicious food and good company. Highly recommend!

We celebrated my wife's birthday yesterday at the restaurant. The staff accommodated 20 people with children. Food was amazing. Staff took great care of us.

Never come back again !!!! I would not even give any stars. Last night, 2 of us went here for dinner, we were not only treated badly, the food was also very terrible. It was not my first time here, I used to come here quite often in the past, but last night experience was the worst for me. First, when we sat down, nobody was there to give us water, when we started to order, I told the server that “no peanuts in every single dish”, he confirmed twice, we order an appetizer (Thai style papaya salad), pad Thai and spicy tamarind beef, I remember they always asked how spicy I want, this time no, he didn’t specify the spicy level. Before ending taking order, he asked “any drinks?” Without the drink menu, so we sai thai lemon ice tea, it came out as Thai milk tea. Pad Thai came first, no spicy, we asked for extra spicy and they gave us chilly oil on the side, the beef also was not spicy even though it said spicy on the menu. And lastly when we already finished our food, papaya salad appetizer came with full load of peanuts. Very disappointed! I feel like the staffs were hiding in the back and no one pays attention to details. We had to ask for every single thing like water, plates and forks, meanwhile the white couple beside us got things taken care of way better.

Used to love this place before. Had a pad tai take out. Too sweet and too much oil. Disappointed. Will give it another try some day.

Definitely would come back to this place and would recommend to anybody.

I had ordered the crispy chili chicken and house fried rice(chicken and shrimp) option. When I come back, I will order these again because it is very good. Went with a group and everyone was jealous of my meal.

Parking: Give or take 10 slots for parking as it is shared with other businesses.

We have been going to this restaurant serving authentic Thai and Lao cuisine both for dine in and takeout for the last 20 years. It has family owned and for the last many years it has been run by the daughter.
The food is authentic, consistent and quite excellent. They will adjust the spice level to your taste. We really like the chicken Panang, the Pad Se Ew and the fresh rolls.
The service is always excellent. One of the waitress (Kathy) has been there serving for the last 20 years!
They used to have a special lunch special menu, but that is no longer available after COVID reopening.
