This is absolutely the worst thing I have ever tasted. There is no taste to the noodles and the bean sprouts smells and tastes off. Do not eat here

The portion is small, and the rice cooker is a trembling hand. How can she accurately shake meat and vegetables into vegetarian dishes?

Thai Island, located at 1 Bass Pro Mills Drive in Concord, Ontario, is a Thai restaurant situated within the Vaughan Mills shopping center. The establishment operates from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on most days, with extended hours until 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. You can reach them at 905-738-7188.

The restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. On Yelp, it holds a 2.1 out of 5-star rating based on 14 reviews. Some customers have praised dishes like the pad thai, noting generous portions and authentic flavors. For instance, one reviewer mentioned, “Best pad thai I have had in years! And it was loaded with shrimp!”

However, other diners have reported less favorable experiences, citing issues with food quality and customer service. Common complaints include bland or overly sweet dishes and interactions with staff that were perceived as rude or unaccommodating. One patron noted, “Worst cashier lady ever. Extremely rude. This is that lady at Vaughan Mills. Very bad service.”

Given the varied feedback, it may be beneficial to manage expectations when dining at Thai Island. While some guests have enjoyed their meals, others have encountered challenges with both the cuisine and service. If you’re in the Vaughan Mills area and interested in Thai food, it might be worth trying, but be prepared for a range of possible experiences.

I had lunch here two times and it was very good.
I even invited my coworker to try it and he loved it.
I’m surprised to see all bad reviews for this fast food.

I ordered 2 meats combo and it was good.

I had pad Thai, red curry chicken and chili chicken.

What I liked about this restaurant is that they didn’t put alot of msg in it.

We took veg Thai food, and it was the worst experience ever. Noodles were sweet, and there were no options for veg. This is not for veg people.

Not environmentally friendly packaging, slaps the way too greasy rice down to pack a container, all other add ons are too oily, too expensive

I went to buy food at Thai Island at Vaughan Mills mall after shopping today. A young guy served me. I was so disappointed and disgusted at what this guy did. Because the container would not close he decided to take it upon himself to poke around at my food that was already dished out into the container and take food out. This young guy needs to go back to learn how to serve food properly and learn food etiquette. Of course I didn't end up buying the food and walked away demanding for his managers information to contact.

The worst pad thai I've ever had. It just tastes like sugar and it was swimming in sauce as seen in the photo. Really wish I checked the reviews and got something else

Hi, yesterday my partner and I went to Thai Island at Vaughan Mills, and I feel terrible sharing this experience. My partner ordered the beef pepper dish, but while eating, he mentioned that the beef didn’t taste fresh—it had an off flavor. Since he was very hungry, he ate it anyway, especially given the $16 we spent on the meal. However, shortly afterward, he began experiencing stomach pain, and by this morning, he couldn’t stop vomiting. Even after trying liquids to settle his stomach, he’s been unable to keep anything down, which makes it clear he got food poisoning.

On top of the food quality issues, the staff wasn’t helpful—the three ladies at the counter were quite rude and dismissive. I strongly advise against eating here for both health and customer service reasons. I will be reporting this incident to the Ontario Food Safety Department. Stay safe and consider other options before dining here. Thanks!

My husband and I have been going here for approximately 10 years and we order double pepper beef. Normally the beef is tender and flavourful, but now changed the beef to a lower quality beef and it was terrible.
