November can be cozy with Redtail outdoor patio heaters and blankets. My family and I dropped by here on in November for a celebratory birthday wine tasting and had a great time. Although it was 9 degrees out, their patio heaters made it warm and justified. There's limited food options, but they had chips and snacks. The wine was super tasty and they also have outdoor fire pits for all. I'd recommend checking it out on your next wine tour, or check in here during the off-season!

A must-visit on any trip to the County! The winemaker Renan is extremely kind and knowledgeable and has a deep respect for the land in the county. The winery has big plans for the future so make sure to take a trip to Redtail to talk with the great staff and enjoy a glass of wine!

A trip to Prince Edward County (PEC) wine country is not complete without a trip to Redtail Vineyards. The 2023 vintage is Bordeaux-born winemaker Renan's first rendition of producing quality wines, and his skill and expertise are already evident by the awards that have been won to date. The various types of fermentation methods used to make each type of wine allows every varietal and blend to be very unique in their own way. Of special interest to me were the wines made in in the concrete tanks and the concrete eggs, both being different than the traditional methods of using either stainless steel or oak vessels. It will be interesting to watch the continued development now that the winery has been revitalized and re-engerized, particularly because of many tools available to the winemaker. Given the quality of the wines, every wine enthusiast will definitely want to keep coming back, including me!

Unfortunately over the past few years Redtail winery has completely devolved due to poor management and staffing practises.
We live nearby and used to frequent Redtail but since being the recent subject of "you aren't from the County" comments from management we will never return or recommend this winery to anyone. There are so many wonderful wineries in the County to support, sadly this is not one of them.
