Pros: house made muffins, blueberry cheesecake. Cons: the person who received us, instead of welcoming, basically asked us to either leave or take everything to go because they were busy. They sell five kinds of sandwiches and at 12:30pm there was no more chicken, it is hard to believe that they couldn’t plan to have more. Our sandwich came with a single plastic-like fried egg instead of chicken breast and over fried, almost burnt, bacon. Month-old pictures showed sandwiches with a salad on the side but we only got two slices of cucumber and two cherry tomatoes, not sure if they had also run out of those items or if we had to pay more for it. $15 for a thin sandwich is not worth it. We went there because of the high rating but it is not realistic.
Cozy atmosphere. Good and friendly service. Delicious snacks.
Great sit in experience, lots of local shops being represented here and the staff is always very friendly. I love going in and doing some laptop work or bringing the family along (if you have kids they have kids books, hand knit stuffies and other cute things for sale as well)
You can buy cleaning supplies here, tea cups, local honey, syrup sauces and tea blends.
When you look up Cookstown, one of the places suggested to visit is the Mad Hatter’s table. It’s a cute cafe with friendly staff. I’m an iced matcha latte girly who’s in search for the best out there. Matcha wasn’t in the menu but one of the staff said she can make it for me. It turned out to be delicious. I usually take my iced matcha with classic syrup but they only have maple vanilla. It wasn’t bad at all. We were also offered free bunny-shaped cookies for Easter. My kids loved them they had to ask for another one lol. We also tried the banana pecan muffin and the cheese and chive scone. We were not disappointed.

Lovely location, in a cute town with great coffee. Friendly service, too!
Very cute little cafe with delicious food and drink options. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff!
We love Mad Hatters!!! My friends and I have been going here for a few years now and we are obsessed with this Cookstown treasure. Everything from their coffee, tea, baked goods and salads are delicious and fresh. My favourite thing to order is the quinoa bowl with the delicious balsamic dressing (which I’ve tried to make myself but cannot get it to taste as good as Mad Hatters lol). You must go and try it if you’re in the Innisfil area!
It was the first time for me and for sure the last.I ordered a Caesar
Salad with chicken. The chicken was extra it maybe was 30 grams
and so dry that I left most of it.They charged $5 and I had to wait
30min.My friend’s salad had Greek olives but not pitted.
I will tell all my friends my bad experience.
Great small cozy place. Warm home atmosphere. Love coming here!
