I purchased 6 Valentine cupcakes at $2.99 each, which is a premium price. While the flavours were fine, the cupcakes weren’t fresh as I would have expected.
I contacted the bakery to give feedback and was told a refund would only be provided if the cupcakes were returned. Unfortunately, by the time the lack of freshness was noticed, the cupcakes had already been disposed of which made returning them unrealistic. I feel that the onus isn’t on me to prove otherwise as I paid a premium price per cupcake so I expected freshness.
I was disappointed with both the quality and the way the situation was handled. When you buy from a bakery, freshness is the expectation.

I have been a regular customer here for about two years and typically spend around $40 per week. The day before this incident, I purchased a sandwich. Since I enjoy mustard, I returned the following day to ask for a small side of mustard, and I made it clear that I was willing to pay for it.
When I entered the store, there were three employees standing in the back. They all noticed me waiting in line but continued working without acknowledging me. Eventually, a woman with grey hair came to the counter, visibly huffing and puffing, and did not greet me. She simply looked at me and waited for my request.
I politely asked, with a smile, if I could have a side of mustard and again mentioned that I did not mind paying for it. She rolled her eyes and responded, “I’ll let it pass for today, but next time you have to pay if you’re not buying anything.”
I found the interaction dismissive and unwelcoming, especially as a long-time customer who approached the situation politely and respectfully.
On the other hand, I think Carolyn is amazing and always greets me.

This is the cake, I wanted and the other photo is that of i got I was really disappointed, i specially ordered that cake from them for my husband’s birthday. They charged me 85$ for this cake and i am not happy with what i got That cake was not even close how i wanted it to be . Whole cake was being wasted because it don’t even tastes good. I asked the women there that i can send you the photo but she’s like no i can make it without photo .I am never going back here. Very disappointing

This is a cute bakery. My child is obsessed with the devilled eggs and sandwiches here. I agree the sandwiches are amazing. My fav items are the apple fritter donuts, walnut brownie and fudge buttercream cupcakes. If I were having a birthday cake for myself I would want the cupcakes or a cake with that icing because it’s 5 stars in my pov. My daughter loves the carrot cake, peanut butter brownie cheesecake , and the banana bread. I’m glad after all these years this business is still running because my mom would take me all the time and it’s nice it’s a tradition I uphold with my child.

The cake was for my birthday on Saturday, I called a week before and they had me email an image of the design I wanted.. my husband picked it up on time on Friday morning.. the decorating was absolutely beautiful, I was pleasantly surprised.. cake was nice and moist and that icing 😳 omg was amazing thanks for making my birthday seemless cakes and more!

Came in today for a cake for my son. Was met with a very angry worker who seemed to have no love for her job.
She was very rough with the cake- the proceeded to tell me after writing my sons name that there was no was to write my sons name nicley. She scribbled the writing and told me it wasn't going to look nice.
Very short and very rude. Terrible customer service.
She proceeded to scrape off my sons name after insulting it- and left the top off the cake full of redd rubbed off icing. She then rolled her eyes and put the cake at the cash full of redd rubbed off icing. The lady at the cash was nice enough to atleast clean the top of the cake a little bit for me.
Smudged cake with no writing because the writing lady couldn't be bothered to be nice or write on the cake. Or atleast give it an honest try.
I still walked out and said thank you to the cashier without complaints but I will say I won't ever be returning and this is a terrible experience if your looking for a decent experience for your celebration cakes I wouldn't go here.
Picture is after the cashier tried to clean it up. I didn't even have to ask her- she seen it and immediately tried to clean it without me asking her; where as the other lady was just going to make me pay for a botched cake.
We've ordered a few cakes from here, as well as going in for special treats, and cannot say enough good things. The shop always smells amazing and the creations are as tasty as they are beautiful. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Went for fresh bread and pastries to find that the bread was 3 days old and the pastries were even worse. Tried a few mini filled tarts and the pastry was almost mushy, the other larger pastries I bought were stale. Kind of expected more from a bakery.

I paid for a cake .About four months ago I have the transaction from my bank and emails we were sending them. Our date ended up being cancelled, so we told them we'll call them next time we needed a cake and not to make it this time.It was already paid for we did not ask for refund. They said that's fine not a problem. Call when we needed one. Someone made a post a few weeks later, stating that they could not afford to buy their child a cake so I called cakes and more to make the cake for that child that i've already paid for. When we called back they had no recollection of what happened when we explained to them they said the owner wasn't in so we ended up having to have to get a cake from somewhere else for that child as i already promised them a cake and didnt want to let them down....
They said that in the next couple days when the owner was back they would give me a call. It's been over a month and I still haven't received a call. Really bad service. Not organized. Would never recommend this bakery to anyone.
