We stopped there on the way to Kingston, a bit by chance.
It doesn't look like much, but we ate well. An excellent fish and chips with haddock, light and crispy breading. The fries may not be as good.
A good glass of white wine at the same time and that’s it! Thank you 🤩

Good place to eat and dine inn casually nothing fancy. Fish and chips are good tho

The quality was extremely poor and unhygienic . We just ordered the large poutine and onion rings . Not at all satisfied with quality of poutine the fries were overcooked and temperature was cold. The onions had a lot of oil in it we literally have to dry onions rings with tissue paper still the oil was soaking . I wont recommend anybody to visit this restaurant especially when you are starving

Place was dirty, fruit flies in bathroom and dining room, ordered the Admiral plate, they had no clams so gave more shrimp. Scallops were very small. Never go back

We've been going to Captain George regularly over the years. Good Fish and Chips at reasonable prices . Later prices increased and with it less quality. Last night's fish and chips was truly way below any standard. Arriving just around 8pm, too late for our regular dining in, we ordered take out. We only discovered how unsatisfactory the two meals of one Haddock each on opening the bag.Fish was half the normal size with lots of fries to fill the space. Food was passable as per usual lately.We really cannot afford to go there anymore. Will continue going to Cowan's however, but no longer for dessert after Captain George.
