Night Night

I am thoroughly disappointed, and I am seriously confused. I am not sure if I just got really unlucky, or if it was an off day for the restaurant, who knows? But, I do not understand how the food and service could be so bellow average. The taste fell under four categories (and sometimes a combination): bland, burnt, dry, or yucky. What amazes me the most is how expensive the price was compared to the absurdly small portion that is given. I do not know if they have a different system when delivering food, although I can say for sure that they have no clue on how to size the portions correctly.Out of all the places that I have ever ordered from in my life, I have never seen a caesar salad with chicken be so expensive for such an incredibly small size; two of those had cost me at least 30$, yet I feel like I was given the equivalent of a kindergartener appetizer, and the salad wasn’t even good, with the chicken and bacon being dry, burnt, and tasting gross.I waited an hour for expensive garbage. The other dishes were severely unimpressive, and extremely lame. I vomited a few hours after having their food.Overrated, overpriced, and not worth another order.

I was visiting the area for an event. We didn't want to eat at a large franchise that every town has. So we decided on the fly to try the roadhouse. It was the worst decision of the entire weekend. It seemed everything took twice as long as it should considering the restaurant only had a total of like 20 people in it and most of them were 2 groups of 7. We sat and waited 10mins for menus and then another 20 for our drinks order to be taken. Half the menu including the entire pasta section isn't available. All the breaded chicken was cut up chicken nuggets. And honestly everything tasted like cheap cheap fast food but took way too long to cook. My friend got the meat lovers nachos. The title being misleading. Whom ever made it clearly hated meat and food. The bacon was microwave ready chrisp that wasn't even cooked. The chicken as I mentioned earlier the chicken was diced nuggets and the beef was lower quality then you'd think was legal to serve. It took us over an hour to get our food. And the nachos looked like they had been sitting that whole time. And the sad thing is the food as disgusting as it was wasn't even the worst part. The 2 waitresses were totally inept. One literally just kept folding silverware while customers sat unserved. The other couldn't answer simple questions about the menu. Because evwryrhing took so long we were nearly late for our show. This experience was a stain on my otherwise excellent weekend in Cornwall. You'd really be better off buying McDonald's and driving to a park then stepping foot inside Seaway Roadhouse/ Joey's

They didn't have half the menu. The chicken ceaser salad had no bacon and literal chicken nuggets chopped up, the mozzarella sticks had no cheese in half of them, the poutine gravy was gross and tasted like package gravy. The nachos were the last to come out but looked like it should have come out first because they were cold. The waitresses didn't seem to know what they were supposed to do and it was about an hour before we got our food.

So this spot has merged with Joey's Only- and they share a kitchen and a menu with one side being Joey's and the other side being the Roadhouse menu.We were sat quickly but the menus didn't come until ten minutes later - with our waitress not showing back up for another twenty minutes to inform us that half the menu wasn't even available. The service overall is terrible - they took out drink orders and didn't start making them for another twenty minutes. My friend ordered a margarita which tasted like they added double triple sec and no tequila and came out after the rest of the drinks - ten minutes after the waters and sodas everyone else ordered because their drink menu wasn't very appealing - and their main menu didn't even have a drink section to see what non-alcoholic drinks were available.Ordered at the table was a chicken club wrap with fries: the fries were cold - Caesar salad with chicken: which didn't come with bacon and the chicken was just cut up nuggets - a poutine: the gravy was sweet and the cheese congealed in a mass - mozzarella sticks: that didn't have mozzarella in them after exploding in the fryer - and bacon, chicken and beef nachos: which came with chicken nuggets as well, ready crisp bacon and beef that looked like it was squeezed out of a tube all melted in a mass of unsalted tortilla chips that looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a half hour. AND NONE OF IT CAME OUT TOGETHER.I work in the industry and feel like this spot should be condemned for their poor service and terrible food. Not even worth the trip for drinks. I HATE not tipping but I felt it was necessary in this situation as I didn't even want to pay for what I did receive - which was something an 8 year old could better concoct in a school classroom.

The menu changed, and the portions were reduced. It was not a bad idea to have fewer fries, but just 12 served with a hamburger was too little. My Daughter's salad was not a main course but a side of something else. My toddler's chicken strips were only two, which is insufficient for a hungry toddler. Finally, my bacon cheeseburger had no cheese. I hope they improve because we love this place.

Seaway Roadhouse is ok, the food tastes good, but it's expensive for what you get. The portions are a little on the small side, and expensive, $10 for 6 tiny pieces of boneless wings and $9 for zucchini chunks, which were supposed to be sticks. Eh, probably won't order again.

Took my order at 945; cancelled it at 1015. Thanks. Trash. Never ordering from here again.
