An absolute wonderful experience. The service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We had two members of our party who had food allergies and the staff takes those issues very seriously. Our entire party of six had a variety of drinks, appetizers and entrees all of which where exceptional. We will be returning again to experience all that Sheeps Head Bistro has to offer.

First stop on our trip from Ottawa to NS, the owners are SO AMAZING, their food is beyond delicious. They have a chowder that isn't starchy and very flavorful. From a coastal community and its the best I've had! A must stop if you haven't been ❤️

Delish! We had the burger and doner bao. They were super helpful with my partner being celiac and needing food to be gluten free! Highly recommend. The waiter also mentioned if you call ahead, he can make bespoke GF meals

Quaint and chic little bistro with partial river views. A short scenic drive outside the city.
The food is very high quality, well presented and delicious.
The menu is eclectic with various fusion dishes. Our meal was one of those fusion dishes and although delicious, strayed too far from its namesake. More could be done to better honour the particular cultural cuisine.
I have visited here a couple times and both times I have been very pleased with my meal and the service.

Hands down the best food and service we’ve ever had.

We drive in from Ottawa just to eat at Sheep’s Head Bistro — it’s that special. Rizwan and Josée have created something truly extraordinary here: a cozy, welcoming space with a menu that changes weekly and never misses.

From the freshest lobster rolls to the best seafood chowder I’ve had (and I’ve been to Boston plenty of times), every dish is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. The bistro overlooks the St. Lawrence River, making it perfect for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner.

We loved it so much that Rizwan and Josée graciously let us host my late mother-in-law’s memorial with our whole family on a Sunday afternoon. The space is warm, accommodating, and intimate — ideal for everything from a meal for two to a gathering of 40.

Sheep’s Head Bistro is a gem, and we’ll be back again and again for as long as they’ll have us. Highly recommend.

Last night we celebrated our 30th Anniversary with our daughter and her partner. The food, drinks, and service exceeded excellent. When it came time for desert we were informed that the guests that sat at another table and had left covered the cost of desert for our table (Thank you!).
