Hello food basic , I quit shopping at no frills and came over , no frills has some nasty cashiers so I'm coming to food basic for now , as long as you treat me right and no scummy attitude bad manners I will keep coming ..Your prices are ok , some things a bit pricey but over all ok ..Just one thing , don't ask me to make contribution to charities or wars going on over seas , you should stay nutral about things you know nothing about ..And don't promote medical information with...read full review

The self-checkout process at Food Basics is really time-consuming because the machines are constantly trying to detect where an item was put after its barcode was scanned. It repeatedly gives an error message if it doesn't know, and requires an attendant with a tap-card to cancel the error message. Unless the self-checkout process is kept simple and user-friendly, like at Shoppers or Walmart, it should be scrapped.

FINALLY!! A store without silly arrows stuck all over their floors! It's amazing that people were able to keep their distance and move about without needing directions! Grocery shopping here was sooo much less stressful than at stores with roped off areas to 'direct' people through the store! Thanks!Really really upbeat and positive minded cashiers! You all make the difference. It's not Just the price that matters.
