My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and it was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. The food was exceptional, and the complimentary drink for our anniversary was lovely!

My husband and I had dinner here recently for a special occasion. He had the Braised Lamb Shank. The menu said it would be swimming in a rich curry Masala cream ... There wasn't a drop of sauce. The rice was definitely just a side ... Very tough and obviously reheated maybe more than once. The garlic naan consisted of three very small pieces that were literally burnt ... Black edges and hard as rock. We did tell our server who eventually did bring some new pieces which were then the opposite, barely grilled. I ordered the Paprikash ... Described as a rich Hungarian paprika and yoghurt sauce ... Well, I certainly imagined something different. It was supposed to be served on egg noodles. Well, it was lukewarm mush and I literally had to ask the server ... What am I eating?? It was couscous ... It was tasteless mush. I wouldn't have ordered a dish with couscous ... The two chicken thighs on top were fine ... But, $28 for two chicken thighs that I could have made myself at home??? And my husband's lamb shank cost $45??? The chef obviously is not a professional. The lovely old house has so much potential but whoever owns it needs to invest to fix up and hire a real chef and replace the extremely weatherworn patio furniture, not to mention doing some gardening ... Adding flowers and flower pots and putting some vases with real flowers on the tables etc etc ... It has so much potential!!

A very pretty location but the service and food were some of the worst I've had in a long time. We waited 10 minutes for water and 45 minutes for our lackluster food. One of our orders was also missing. The worst part was that we didn't receive any apology for the lateness of the food or the missing food. The food we did receive was either bland or overly sweet and greasy. Very disappointed.

Our server never made sure the transaction went through on the machine. We were sitting outside. Said our goodbyes. 2 HOURS LATER, we receive a phone call telling us to come back and pay. What would you have done if we didn't make the reservation and had no phone number to call us back with?

We were looking forward to trying this place- the owner was welcoming and the staff pleasant and spoke both English and French. A quirky kind of interior style and a lovely building. We waited quite a while for the meal to be served (45 minutes or so) and the server unfortunately didn’t visit us to ask if we wanted another drink during that time. My husband had the beef Wellington. It wasn’t a typical beef Wellington (not filet mignon?), the taste was fine and perhaps a bit lacklustre. I had the lamb curry dish. The lamb was lovely and tender but the curry sauce was horribly oversalted! Such a shame given the wonderful lamb. We might return some day to try again - they support local which we appreciate!

This restaurant has issues with paying their staff. I have been following up for months to no avail. I would not support a restaurant that lacks so much respect for their staff that they wont even reply to polite emails for the missing pay.

Update: Since posting this I was told on May 8th I’ll be paid on the Monday. Even after several emails sent since then, I have yet to get paid.

We went there for breakfast. I went for supper a little over a year ago and it was really good. I had heard some positive things about their breakfast so we finally tried it out. All in all the breakfast was pretty terrible. I had the regular egg Benedict and everything was cold and undercooked. Some of my group had a steak and without asking their preferred cook, they served it pretty raw. The service was also lacking. We had to ask and remind them 3 times before we got some more water. Got coffee when we sat down but not offered again. And with all this the restaurant was dead there was almost no one there. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Good food, but heard the boss yelling at the staff in an unprofessional way which ruined my experience. I will not be there again as I do not support bosses treating their employees that way.

Had a great meal with friends last night to try out the new menu! Staff was amazing, super friendly and knew all the details of the specials! We tried the, donair egg rolls, escagot gratin, beef tartar and my husband decided the beef dip would be a good entré! lol For our mains, three of the four of us had the steak special for the week which they all said was absolutely amazing, I had the seafood special which was a salmon with bok choy, cauliflower puree and a miso reduction I believe, the flavors incorporated so well together and the fish was perfectly cooked with crispy skin! Everything was absolutely delicious!! Also tried the summer peach drink off the new bar menu, which was very good!

Went for the brunch with Santa. Got 3 cold pancakes and stale candy. No candied bacon like last year which was our reason for going back. Also wasn’t an all-you-can-eat like last year so had to wait for one person to serve cold pancakes and candy. Wasn’t worth the 87 I paid for two adults and a child. Server was really nice. My daughter enjoyed seeing Santa.

Not sure why folks are complaining about the buttermilk pancakes from the Pancakes with Sanat event? I got some brought home by my daughter who works there and they were absolutely delicious (even warmed up). Probably the best pancakes I've had. Kudos to chef for his great receipe!!!!
