“I live very much in suburbs but happen to be surrounded by many small, family owned and operated businesses including two bakeries. I've recently discovered Black Walnut Bakery and was not only blown away by the product but by the staff and the atmosphere. I HIIIIIIGHLY recommend them ! Their multi-grain bread WILL knock your socks off (not to mention scrumptious desserts)”

I don't like the 10th line branch since I believe they don't care about the customization of the orders! We ask for light mayo, and there is no difference with regular one. “The family and I decided to order shawarma so we chose this place not expecting anything much. However, what was brought to our front door was something out of this world. We ordered the shawarma plate, the pita chips in the salad were still crispy! The salad still fresh! The pita bread, fresh! The FRIES, omg amazing. The rice was great. The portion size was great! The sauce that going into the salad was so tasty. The garlic sauce was not too salty which I find a lot of other shawarma places are. The hummus was great. To top that all off was the chicken…the chicken was juicy, crispy, I thought it would be dry when I saw it but I was mistaken. When I bit into the chicken I realized something… I have been wasting my time at other shawarma places while this gem as been so close to me. This is now my go to spot. I highly recommend… tread carefully you may find yourself in there more often than not.”

“Customer service was very poor, only half of our order came to the table as we were told they’re out of chicken after getting half of it. So we had to eat just the fried rice and soup without any mains. They offered that the rice will be on the house, but then secretly charged us for it. Overall the staff was very disrespectful and not courteous at all. Food was good though but not worth the service we got.”

“We came here to try a Filipino restaurant and it did not disappoint! We had the shrimp lumpia, crispy pork Kare Kare, fish-silog, halo halo, and taho. The food quality and portions are good, the price is reasonable, and the staff are very nice. It is in a small location and has a family-owned atmosphere. I recommend this place to have your Filipino food fix!”

“TLDR: Indian and Indo-Chinese fusion cuisine in Orleans. Excellent flavours and real spicy, but very oily/greasy. My brother ordered some food from Anmol Indian Cuisine for us to try. He got the Chilli Chicken $16.99, Kadai Chicken $17.99, Chicken Hakka Noodles $16.99 and an order of basmati rice $2.99. The Chili Chicken was my favourite. It had a nice amount of heat and came with green peppers and onions. The chicken was lightly battered, and was lean breast meat. The chicken had this artificial reddish hue, which I found a bit unusual. The flavours were delicious but the sauce was so oily/greasy. The Chicken Kadai was also lean chicken breast meat, which I appreciated. This dish was less spicy, but was still full of flavour. My only complaint is again the sauce was really oily. The Chicken Hakka Noodles were ok. They had lean chicken breast meat, cabbage, onions, green peppers and carrots. The noodles were slightly spicy but stir fried in too much oil. The only thing that wasn't oily was the basmati rice, which was soft and fluffy. My dad loved the food. While he was eating it he was already planning his next order there, haha. When he finished eating he asked which restaurant it was from so he could research the menu online. He is so cute! Haha. My mom also enjoyed the food, but she felt it was a bit too spicy for her. My assessment was delicious food, but too oily/greasy. I took a peak at their online menu too and saw they have chicken pakora. I might have to give that a try sometime. I also usually get my Chili Chicken dry without gravy, so I might see what their Dry Chili Chicken is like. (20)”

“This bakery is one of a kind, these people go out of there way to donate bread and pastries to local food banks in the area. The bread is out of this world, nothing will beat my moms baked pastries though ? but again the service and quality of bread is legitimately a 15 out of 10.”
