The pies at Shami's are top tier fresh, delicious ingredients, and the folks that work there are really wonderful. The traditional options are perfect, and they have some less common options that are really really good (specifically the mohamara with extra spice). Easily in the top three pie spots of Ottawa.

Their pies are always fresh fresh , their dough is very soft. I strongly recommend this place, once you started getting their pies you will not go any other place.”

“Hosted my baby shower here and it was a real hit. Everyone was super impressed with the aesthetic and vibe of the venue. The owner was super accommodating, we were able to bring in our own food and decorate. We did purchase our drinks from the bar and ordered pizzas from the menu but it was nice being able to bring in other snacks and finger foods as well. The staff were all super friendly and professional and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for hosting parties.”

McDonald’s New Berry Bliss Drink – First Taste Review

Date of Visit: Today

I decided to give the new Berry Bliss drink at McDonald’s a try, and it turned out to be so much better than I expected just by looking at it. The taste was welcoming, fresh, and instantly made me want more. The fruity notes blended smoothly, and it felt like the perfect spring treat.

Biggest Criticism: I wasn’t given a heads-up that there would be whipped cream on top, which might not be everyone’s preference.

Overall Rating: 7.8/10

I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing and flavourful drink, but maybe ask about the toppings if you’re not into whipped cream.”

“I had a really nice experience at Tim Hortons today. The girl (Manraj) who helped me was extremely polite and friendly. She greeted me with a smile and was very patient while taking my order.

Her positive attitude made my day better, and the service was quick and professional. It’s always nice to see someone who genuinely cares about customer service.

“Where to start here? I guess with the most obvious topic - the beer. It's consistent, creative, and most importantly delicious. Whether it's at the brewery or a festival, the offerings from Broadhead are top notch.

The brewery itself is a gem. There is almost always something fun happening. Bingo and trivia are a regular event, and there are even concerts throughout the week which is cool. What makes it even cooler is that it's all free. If you get a chance to check out the wrestling events you should absolutely do that too. Such a great time!

Next up is the staff. Everyone there is a beauty. Always friendly, engaging, and willing to recommend something if I can't decide (which isn't often. NEIPA for the win).

Even their marketing. Their FB and IG posts are fun and they are reflective of the atmosphere when you visit.

I have been to a bunch of different breweries in Ottawa, but Broadhead is the one I have been to the most and I don't see that changing any time soon.”

“Gotta eat it fresh in the parking lot for the full experience. Been going for many years, the owner operator is a very nice guy who is extremely kind and friendly. Price point is always lower than competition. Curds squeak fries crisp as well as soft inside. Gravy amazing. If you aren’t a poutiner the salt and vinegar fries are also amazing.”

This Subway is one of those where everything is more than 5 stars - from the freshness of the produce to the friendly team making your subs (and keen to give you recommendations and make it special for you), and from the cleanliness of the store to the wide range of options on offer - this store isn't created equal with others - it's been given an extra sprinkling of magic dust and it sure is going to make your experience memorable! Being so close to Shankman - it's very convenient for those days when you are there to attend a show or expo.
