“TLDR: Indian and Indo-Chinese fusion cuisine in Orleans. Excellent flavours and real spicy, but very oily/greasy. My brother ordered some food from Anmol Indian Cuisine for us to try. He got the Chilli Chicken $16.99, Kadai Chicken $17.99, Chicken Hakka Noodles $16.99 and an order of basmati rice $2.99. The Chili Chicken was my favourite. It had a nice amount of heat and came with green peppers and onions. The chicken was lightly battered, and was lean breast meat. The chicken had this artificial reddish hue, which I found a bit unusual. The flavours were delicious but the sauce was so oily/greasy. The Chicken Kadai was also lean chicken breast meat, which I appreciated. This dish was less spicy, but was still full of flavour. My only complaint is again the sauce was really oily. The Chicken Hakka Noodles were ok. They had lean chicken breast meat, cabbage, onions, green peppers and carrots. The noodles were slightly spicy but stir fried in too much oil. The only thing that wasn't oily was the basmati rice, which was soft and fluffy. My dad loved the food. While he was eating it he was already planning his next order there, haha. When he finished eating he asked which restaurant it was from so he could research the menu online. He is so cute! Haha. My mom also enjoyed the food, but she felt it was a bit too spicy for her. My assessment was delicious food, but too oily/greasy. I took a peak at their online menu too and saw they have chicken pakora. I might have to give that a try sometime. I also usually get my Chili Chicken dry without gravy, so I might see what their Dry Chili Chicken is like. (20)“
“Wow this place is great. I’m a little picky when it comes to Indian food being Indian myself but I was very impressed with this restaurant! I got the paneer curry and garlic naan and they were both delicious and I also got a masala chai which was amazing. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is very nice on the inside despite what it looks like on the outside. Highly recommend!“
“I always love Indian food even though I have no idea what to ask for. This is a great local restaurant that serves incredible food. I had no idea what to order so my friend took over and ordered items that sounded like the bad guy list in a Star Wars movie. Nice restaurant that is quiet and could even be considered romantic with the right person. My Star Wars name slinging buddy did not make it feel romantic.“
“We ordered through uber eats. Too much disappointment. We selected the option spicy but it was full of red chilli and too much to handle. We ordered seekh kabab and chicken karahi. It didn’t look and taste like karahi. For me it was totally biryani masala. If we ignore the spice it was not tasty at all. Only 2 things were ok raita, naan and boiled rice.“
“Our dining experience at this restaurant was extraordinary, from the pleasant atmosphere to the wide selection of scrumptious menu items. Although there was a minor confusion with our order, the staff handled it with exceptional care and efficiency, quickly rectifying the issue. The food, with its impeccable flavors and presentation, truly made our evening memorable. This slight mix-up was easily forgiven, overshadowed by the superb dining experience we enjoyed, promising our return in the near future.“
“This is my all time favourite Indian restaurant in Ottawa and I am sad that there is no longer take out but I guess I will have to have a get together soon because I love their food so much!!! So many great vegan options and South African and Tanzanian dishes!!!“
“I used to eat here every Friday when I lived in Ottawa I still them about this place. The food is absolutely amazing, the flavours are incredible. The owner is so sweet, I used to get the samosa and tikka masala with a side of naan. You need to try it!! “
“If I could I would give them 6/5. The staff was so friendly and the food is delicious. We had the dinner for two and it was easily a dinner for three and very reasonably priced. This is our new go to spot!Parking: Plenty of room to park in the back.“
