“What a lovely place! Very welcoming and friendly, with super delicious food and a great selection, including awesome desserts! We were starved, so had a lot of food, including starters/snacks and dessert in addition to the main meal, and every single item was great. If you can, try the chocolate mousse cake! The best.“

“It's strictly catering nowadays, unfortunately. They used to have a pretty active storefront business. So, fortunately, catering still works - although not as convenient as spur of the moment runs out to their previous storefront.
If they do one extraordinary thing, I will say it's their dipping sauces. Love their tamarind! My Accomplice loves their chutney. The chutney is pure. You taste the difference! However, I recommend starting with the mild. If you are a heat freak, work your way up gradually to medium, and then to their hot. The hot will blow your socks off! It's delicious - but too hot for some people who think they like hot. (MAGIC: My perfect dipping sauce is a mix of 2/3 medium heat chutney and 1/3 tamarind.)
One sure way to tell food is of good quality, is if it still tastes amazing when eaten cold or at room temperature 👍

“We just celebrated my daughter’s 50th Birthday at their very cosy Party Hall. All our requests were met, from curries to desserts! Food was very tasty.. I love their Saag and Navratna Korma as a vegetarian. The Staff is excellent. Very polite and excellent Servie. We were at their Robertson Location. Lots of Parking as well. Well done!! The Owner is excellent and accommodating. Big THANK YOU!“

“Delicious food and authentic Bangladeshi taste. Every dish we tried was amazing: kolija shingara, daal puri, kalo jam. The chingri shutki is a must try!Best part about the place was the owner, a very friendly man who you can tell really cares about the food and the customers. “Last weekend, we hosted a family event for 35+ people at Mehfil Indian and Bangladeshi Cuisine, and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to host an event!
The entire crew was incredibly helpful and amazing. They dedicated a specific spot for a stage and handled all the setup and arrangements for us seamlessly. We were given an excellent buffet package, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was kept perfectly warm on the buffet table. Our menu included Polau rice, Tadka Dal, Beef Biryani, Butter and Garlic Naan, and Butter Chicken, followed by delicious Bangladeshi sweets for dessert.
Beyond the amazing food and service, they even have a team that can custom-decorate an event cake based on your exact vision. Truly a one-stop solution for any gathering!
My family and I are fully satisfied with their service and how successful they made our event. I strongly recommend this restaurant for any small group event of up to 50 or 60 people!“

Lamb dhansak w biriyani and samosas. ALL the food was phenomenal! The curries were served in unique little pans that stayed on heated stands so they wouldn’t get cool.
The owner is very charismatic and welcoming. He had our table laughing many times.

“Found this amazing, delicious, authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant on Baseline - Royal Paan. ( 1943 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C 0C7). Usually not very impressed by Indian resturent in Ottawa but this one touched my soul. Worth trying. I have tried couple of dishes and they all were amazing Pavbhaji Dosa, Stuffed Kulcha Channa, Dhai bahala and Hakka Noodles. The amount of food was way enough for me. The place was clean and very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for sure. Already went 3 times and will be going again.“

“My wife and I by chance had an appointment in the building and decided to have lunch. We split the 2 egg Masala sandwich and the butter chicken poutine…wow! Just wonderful, amazing flavours, pleasant friendly staff too. We’ll be going there again even if it’s out if our way, highly recommend Chai Talks.“
