“In the middle of nowhere car-hell Ottawa sits this hidden little ice-cream shop. Tons of interesting and classic flavours and even a great selection of chocolate cover STUFF. Just good as heck vibes, and some chairs our front so you can enjoy your ice-cream with friends outside on a beautiful day and watch all the traffic from and comfortable distance.super kids!
This feels like an amazing place to take someone visiting from Asia or Europe or something to show some classic North American vibes (for better or for worse) with an awesome peaceful gem like this tucked beside a big field and a busy as heck intersection and a parking lot.
True Ottawa hidden gem.
Also extra points for having a replication of my fav ice-cream flavour of all time, "superkid".

“Went here with family, affordable price, very generous portions, great flavours and features local ingredients. They had a few vegan flavors and are a peanut free facility.
I got s'mores and BIL got the strawberry flavour

“I come from a place that prides itself with ice cream, but after getting my hands on malak’s vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, pistachio, cookies n cream, black cherry and more flavoured ice cream, it made me forget all about the ice cream i enjoyed for most of my life.This was truly the best and most delicious gelato I ever tried.Cant wait to have some more.“

“I came two nights in a row, and while I love your frozen yogurt and toppings, I wanted to leave a review for your staff! The two young girls (first with long brown hair in a ponytail and second with brown hair in a bun with a chopstick) working around 8pm tonight were lovely. I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names. The girl with the bun remembered me from last night. The store had stickers of all the mascots, except Chip (he happens to be the employee’s favourite too). When I saw the employee again tonight, she told she thought of me today and wanted to bring her temporary tattoos of Chip in case I came back (so cute and sweet)! As for the second employee (ponytail), I told her I was annoyed for them every time customers sampled and carelessly spilled yogurt. She smiled and said that she was there “for that”. I find it admirable to see teens that are willing to work hard, all while having an amazing attitude!“

“We went in a class trip to the playground, and called ahead to let them know the students would be buying ice cream at the Beach Shack. It turned out to be a rainy day and they opened for the students so that the students wouldn’t be disappointed. They were friendly, kind and helpful to the students and we appreciated the fantastic service. This is the second time we have taken our students here and would highly recommend the Beach Shack.“

“I really like Menchie's as a whole. They're got a good variety of flavours and toppings and I always end up spending less than I expect to. The servers are pleasant, if a bit inattentive and the patio is quite nice in the summer. The biggest problem with this location is that it often feels a bit run down. The machines are often a little wonky, often dispensing almost liquid froyo, there's sometimes garbage or sticky residue left around and the toppings, especially the cooled ones, are sometimes depleted. Though I think this just comes from the fact that the location itself is too small and understaffed for how busy it gets.“

“Always have a nice promotions and my kids love the 1 liter vanilla ice cream deal in just 7 bucks.
Its the most economical family treat.
Every time a family member filled up a survey and they give us a free bar.
