They do have a few drink options such as coffee, hot, chocolate, etc. But they really focus on the gelato, which is great. “Have been coming here basically since we moved to Ottawa. So many delicious flavours of ice cream to choose from and we always get some chocolate covered sour keys and other assorted chocolates. Staff are friendly and remember my order lol if that tells you how often we’re there. Highly recommend!“

“This place is truly a hidden gem! The cheesecakes are nothing short of delectable - even the plain New York cheesecake (add a little chocolate sauce and it's simply chef's kiss!). Then there's the sandwiches. The butter crescents used (that they make there) are so light and flaky, coupled with the basil pesto just makes for the perfect light lunch. “I really like Menchie's as a whole. They're got a good variety of flavours and toppings and I always end up spending less than I expect to. The servers are pleasant, if a bit inattentive and the patio is quite nice in the summer. The biggest problem with this location is that it often feels a bit run down. The machines are often a little wonky, often dispensing almost liquid froyo, there's sometimes garbage or sticky residue left around and the toppings, especially the cooled ones, are sometimes depleted. Though I think this just comes from the fact that the location itself is too small and understaffed for how busy it gets.“

It turned out to be a rainy day and they opened for the students so that the students wouldn’t be disappointed. They were friendly, kind and helpful to the students and we appreciated the fantastic service. This is the second time we have taken our students here and would highly recommend the Beach Shack.“

“Cheeseburger was cooked to order. Fresh bun. Good size pattie. Cheese melted perfectly. Fresh garnish. Good variety of condiments.
Fries were both golden and crispy with just the right amount of salt.
Staff were attentive and quick.
