“We stumbled upon this restaurant because we were looking for a quick lunch, and Vietnamese is typically quick. What we didn’t expect was how flavourful it would be!!! This was for certain the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten. I had the beef vermicelli with half salad/half vermicelli and my kiddo had beef pho. The salad part of my vermicelli was so flavourful with tons of fresh mint and cilantro. My kiddo was also blown away and finished every bit of the very large serving of pho. I will make a point of returning every time I am in Ottawa. Oh - and the restaurant was spotless!“

“This is my go to place when I want a cold dessert. It’s a good cozy place to visit especially when they have special events. I believe almost everything is under $10. They also offer board games to play with friends for free.

The mango bingsu is my favourite, but I’m not a huge fan of the other bingsus on the menu. I’ve tried the matcha strawberry, melon, and strawberry bingsus but they weren’t very good in my opinion because of the syrup. The bubble tea is good as well but they sometimes add too much ice to your drink. I usually ask for less ice to avoid this.

One issue I have is that they use AI in their marketing as well as menus. Hi T offers live music and sometimes crafting events. I just don’t understand how they can support small artists and businesses while also using AI for their posters and menus. Hi T has numerous opportunities that foster human connection and creativity, so the use of AI is out of place.

I hope they can improve on these things in the future.“

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. “We got the tempura shrimp wanpaku sandwich and the turkey club sandwich, both were SO fresh and delicious. They make the sandwich in front of you, so they are super fresh!

The drink is a strawberry latte (there’s no coffee in it). There are chunks of fresh strawberries, not too sweet!

The cabbages were marinated and there is some wasabi in the sauce as well, which makes it taste very fresh!

Their sandwiches are the most unique ones I’ve ever eaten, I will definitely come back!“

It’s basically like a chicken sandwich with mushroom and a spicy mayo on the side (the best I have ever had). The atmosphere or like the place is so warm and cozy. When u order food inside u could feel the coziness. I also ordered flat white (homemade coffee) PEAK it was so good. But I’m a tourist but if I lived here this place would be my go to place.“

The owners are very nice and welcoming, they always greet every customer with a smile. ?I got the platters for a birthday party, which were a hit with the guests.I’ve never seen salmon and tuna this fresh in Ottawa. I usually go for the specialty rolls or tacos. The first thing you’ll notice is their spacious sitting arrangements. Minimal decor.eye soothing colors.
Though there is nothing much for the kids other than the gaming machine but the staffs are really kind and friendly to the kids.
Kids love watching how they make the rolled up ice creams.
Every time we go there we try different flavours. Each and every flavor is unique and delicious.
Note that- washrooms are only for the customers and don’t throw away your receipt because there’s a code in the receipts to go to the washroom.
We will come back again and again whenever we’ll craving for sweets.“

I’m not sure if he’s the owner or part of the management but the care he shows to delivery drivers is beyond words. He’s by far my biggest tipper. We rarely ever see tips like this. The staff is always friendly and there are treats for your dog. Also a huge patio that has both sunny and shaded seating. A very chill spot.“

The pastries are simple. Their croissants, though, are a bit too bready and dense for my taste, losing a star for that.
