“In a word, this place is spectacular!!! The chai is perfectly prepared, and the sandwiches are some of the tastiest I have ever had, anywhere. *Anywhere*. Not only that, the portions are substantial, the prices reasonable, and the staff is lovely. Great food, great prices, great service. The trifecta, and that is increasingly hard to find in Ottawa. Run, don't walk, and enjoy a great meal here. My new favourite place to eat in Ottawa.“
“All in all a wonderful experience ! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sharing their love for waffles and Korean inspired menu items like the Croffle. (I have yet to try it, but I heard it was delicious).Their butterfly iced tea is delicious and should be on your to-try list :DA good place for a respite, or to catch up with a friend with a good drink ^_^Vegetarian options: Plant-based milk option available, such as almond, oat & soy.“
“Absolutely incredible! A real diamond in the rough. This place is welcoming, friendly, comfortable, everyone seems like they’re family when they come in. They’re even dog friendly! I really can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It is going to quickly become my go to place in the area. Cozy up I. Front of the fireplace with your laptop or a good book, didn’t bring one? They’re got you covered!“
“It was my first time there yesterday and I will def go again. Everyone was very nice and helpful, prices are very reasonable and the food was excellent. I had the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas and a vanilla bean latte, my girlfriends had the chicken feta and mixed berries crepes. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Lots of dif coffee options to choose from. They have a decent size patio too!“
“1st experience here and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Not only were they incredibly kind and friendly, but they also displayed a level of generosity that is sometimes rare these days. I would definitely recommend and go back to this location!“
“Wonderful cafe? very cozy and interesting interior, everything is as I like: a combination of wood, live plants and metal. The smell of coffee is mesmerizing and beckons you not to leave this place until closing. And the most important and valuable thing is the highest quality service, which we are used to in Ukraine and delicious coffee with unusual desserts?I will definitely come back again?Thank you“
“Found this awesome little café in a chill neighborhood. Perfect spot to grab a warm coffee before heading out to the Mud Lake trail for a quick winter hike. It's super easy to stroll over to the trail entrance. The bartender, a cool young lady, hooked us up with some delicious coffee. Oh, and definitely treat yourself to their killer scones – the jam-topped one rocked our taste buds. Seems like scones are their specialty, and they've got other tasty varieties too!“
“It's now my go-to coffee shop. The sandwiches are amazing, not too big or small, perfect for a meal. The drinks are always made right and very delicious! I can’t say enough about the staff and the owner being so nice and always pleasant. The best coffee shop I have been to in the city (From a coffee shop hopper).“
“Came here for a cup of coffee.Well, coffee is ok, it is a good coffee, though a bit dark roast as for me. And a croissant was like a homemade one, not sweet, rather cheesy, however, maybe just as I found it.I really liked the interior and service, top!“
“Ordered lunch on a busy day. Had never heard of this place before, but it was highly rated on DoorDash, so decided to give them a try.The sandwich was loaded with chicken, cabbage and tomato. Had a good level of spice, but was not overwhelming with the heat.Overall was very impressed with the freshness and quality of the food.“
“I already love swinging by LJB when I visit Ottawa for a tasty treat but this was my first experience using their services for a special cake order and I was thoroughly impressed! Super simple and easy process to place the order and my birthday cake exceeded my expectations in both looks and taste! It was a total hit with all those in attendance too! I would definitely recommend LJB to anyone looking to amp their parties with a special cake! :D“
“Had a great experience here with my wife and young son. Atmosphere, service and the food were all excellent. Kaiya was especially warm and welcoming and helped us navigate all the choices and made recommendations since we are not oatmeal connoisseurs but now have a new appreciation for it and all of the extra options/additions that are available to make it super delicious and health conscious. Will definately be back!“
“Super cute bakery serving up gluten free and vegan baked goodies! I tried their cupcakes in the black forest, lemon love, and raspberry puff flavors. I enjoyed the cake’s moist and deep chocolate flavor. I didnt love the frosting because dairy-free buttercream isn’t my cup of tea (I prefer the flavor from dairy butter and eggs in swiss meringue) but I still enjoyed the cupcakes! Definitely recommend stopping if you’re in the area and looking for vegan + gluten free dessert.“
“First time and will go again for sure!Vegetarian options: There are meals that don’t involve meatDietary restrictions: Vegetarian mealsParking: It’s in a plaza, so therefore there is parking, but lucky to get one. Other businesses of course.Kid-friendliness: They gave have booster seatsWheelchair accessibility: All one floor. If I recall correctly, no stair step to enter restaurant.“
“The place is super cozy, and the ice cream is really engaging to watch be prepared in front of you. Depending on what flavour you get, the texture can be slightly different. I got the tiramisu one, and while I loved the flavour, I felt there was a slight grainy texture, which was likely because of the mix-ins. My mom didn't notice it, though, so it's only an issue if you're particularly texture-sensitive like I am. Otherwise, it wasn't overly sweet, which was definitely a bonus, and the whipped cream and chocolate syrup complimented it well without overshadowing the flavour. The prices are very reasonable for the serving sizes, and they come in convenient paper cups so you can take your ice cream on the go!“
“10/10 would recommend, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the drinks, very tasty and the food was delicious. If you like smoked meats and a variety of unique salads with lots of flavour this is the place to dine in with a cool retro neon 80's style atmosphere!“
“Delightful non-chain local Byward market neighbourhood haunt with satisfying but limited breakfast choices not readily found in your run of the mill establishments for the vegetarian and meat eater alike. Prices are definitely not discount for their offerings, but choices not common either. It is a chill space with a laid back vibe for the morning rush that hosts a loyal following.“
“I am a big third wave coffee fan, visiting from Montreal for work. I went there after many people recommended the place to me. The service by the owner is exquisite. This is one of the best coffee I had. The flavours were so complex and delicate. I am going back to buy coffee grain to bring back home.“
“My girlfriend and I had the 4 course meal on Valentine’s Day. Real authentic Filipino food taste great and cooked perfectly.Chef Liza catered to my dietary needs and made some adjustments to the menu for my accommodation. The servers are friendly, warm and welcoming . I definitely recommend.Thank you.“
“The food was well executed and the decor was just like the pictures. Beautiful atmosphere, I stayed there for 5 hours. It's quite quiet for such a small space, the place is quite small, it accommodated around thirty people. Some photos suggest that the place is larger than it is. There was a delay with the service but they were only two servers and were always moving. My order was forgotten but the waiters offered me a free dessert. I went on a rainy Sunday so there were probably fewer people than usual. We didn't wait long to arrive.“
“Jozsef, Justin and Sandy at Cloudforest Cafe are simply outstanding! Their coffee artistry is unmatched, and every sip is a delight. The food prepared is equally impressive – bursting with flavor. Together, they create a culinary experience that's hard to beat. If you're looking for impeccable coffee, delicious food, and friendly service, Cloudforest Cafe is the place to go!“
“The staff at Kafia coffee were very knowledgeable and very helpful with helping me choose a coffee that would be a fit for my wife and I. They have an amazing selection of freshly roasted beans for you to choose from!I will never buy coffee anywhere else moving forward! Thanks again!“
“Such a cool coffeehouse vibe with art all over the walls and a choice of many rooms to hang out. Art house is situated in funky old Victorian home. This is the coolest place in Ottawa. Unfortunately there are no specialty coffee choices. Everything is fairly standard but the pastries are amazing and there are gluten free choices. The Wi-Fi is around 40 to 50 and there's great ergonomically correct seating.“
“Amazing spot for some late night cravings!! If you are parking in the plaza next to it- make sure to let someone know at the front in restaurant, because they do validate parking for customers which is amazing.Street burger hits the spots. It was amazing!!“
“We had the best gelato in Canada if not in the world! What an amazing place, great service and staff. James and everyone at Mantovani’s were wonderful and recommended great flavors of gelato to try. We tried the pistachios, hazelnut, rosewater and Cherry and omg they are all amazing. This place is saved on my top list spots i. Ottawa and definitely coming back for more! ❤️?“
“This coffee spot cares about where their coffee comes from. They use organic and ethically sourced beans. I tried their americano, and it was fantastic. The place had a great atmosphere, and the staff were super friendly. It's a cozy spot for a good cup of coffee!“
“Great coffee and snacks, and the staff have always been truly lovely. It's wonderful to have this little coffee shop in the neighbourhood. It can occasionally take a while to get something other than a black coffee if you're in a rush.“
“We've ordered from here several times and each time, the food is amazing. This weekend we ordered a Lemon Vanilla birthday cake; amazing! One time we ordered cake pops for a baby shower (all white inside with one being blue); amazing! We've had other pastries; amazing! And the staff is very pleasant. Being an industrial bakery, there is not a warm atmosphere, and the open door to the florist next door is a little odd - but the food makes up for it in droves.“
“Really cool spot with a LOT of potential. The staff are always welcoming and the atmosphere is great. The events they have with local artists are also really intriguing for someone such as myself who was forcibly relocated from the west end of Toronto. My only gripe and reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is the price. $4.00+ for a drip is absolutely bonkers and I frankly don't think I've seen it anywhere else (note again, I moved from downtown Toronto). Most "nicer" cafes I've been to, usually offer drip coffee for $2.50 - $3.25...*maybe* $3.50 at most. I would say $3.00-$4.25 for an Americano, or other espresso based drink seems standard. To make things worse, I'd say the drip I got was only ok, definitely not worth $4.00 pre tax. In my view, I think you need at least to give the customer the option of getting something reasonably priced. For example, in Toronto one of my favourite cafes offered drip for $2.50. You best believe I went there frequently because I didn't mind spending that much for a quick coffee semi-regularly. Every so often I'd get a pastry with it or splurge on an espresso based drink. This is a win-win for customer and business. The same goes for the beans. My partner came back with a bag of 225g beans (apologies if the amount if incorrect) and she said it cost $23 with a discount. Assuming the discount was 15% that means the normal price is $27 for 225g. Again, do some basic googling and walking into roasteries in Toronto or Ottawa and you will easily find some of the highest quality coffee for more reasonable prices.“
“To brighten up and otherwise gloomy and dreary day, this cozy and chic oatmeal cafe was definitely on point. We had the fiore, lunchbox, and Belmont breakfast sandwich. The oatmeal’s were delicious, the breakfast sandwich was perfect. The butter pecan latte was also a hit. Service was quick and very friendly. We’ll be back for sure!“
“I loved my experience. Superb welcome and charming young lady who took her time seeing my so-so English. Delicious gluten-free and vegetarian coffee and pastries. I recommend ?❤️Vegetarian options: It offers a great gluten-free and vegetarian option.“
“THE BEST BUBBLE TEA PLACE IN OTTAWA!!! Incredible service every time I go, and the menu is out of this world! So many cool combos an unique flavours, in addition to all kinds of different desserts and snacks. They have a really good variety of games to play and it's always clean. Great place to hang out with friends, or just grab a to-go bubble tea. This place comes highly recommended!“
“Literally my fav coffee shop, I go every single morning and get my large black coffee before I start school, I made it a habit of walking 30 min there and 30 min back at the start of my school year and do it everyday. People are so so nice and make my entire morning. Love the atmosphere“
“Highly recommend Anabia’s, whether you are looking for tasty unique cupcakes for an event or a treat - I have yet to have a flavour that wasn’t delicious! Or you’re looking for an outstanding scone - both their savoury and sweet are great! The atmosphere is always very welcoming and the staff friendly with great service. It’s become one of my go-to places!“
“Very clean and neat(even the little lids, spoon, and condiment section) store.I had a Cherry Lemon Loaf with a medium coffee and it was yummy!Lots of open sitting area as the store is located inside a mini-foodcourt at Bell Centre.Modern layout and sitting arrangement.Great menu selection and food quality.Quick service with a warm-greeting.Definitely coming back here. :)“
“Love this place, I stop by all the time when I’m at the farmers market in the summer and for a warm up from the dog park in the winter. Oat milk latte is so good!!Dietary restrictions: They have milk alternativesKid-friendliness: It’s got a great family friendly vibe“
“Great coffee shop by IKEA. Closest location in the West End. Tasty hot drinks, great service, and clean.Vegetarian options: Egg and dairy optionsDietary restrictions: Various milksParking: Free parking lotKid-friendliness: Open space and highchairsWheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“Always exceptional customer service, and fast too. Delicious drinks at a reasonable price. My favorite bubble tea place. The Ube Puff drink from the Deerioca series is my favorite, a flavor you can't get from any other bubble tea shop. They have a small variety of caffeine free drinks as well, such as the kiwi slush.“
“When I travel to Ottawa from New York, I always get coffee at Bridgehead. The coffee is good, the go-withs are satisfying, and the staff is friendly. I am one who likes to go to the coffee shop and stay to read andor write letters. This Bridgehead location provides a quiet and calm atmosphere perfect for both. I can guarantee that when I return to Ottawa I will be at Bridgehead and make time in my visit for it.“
“I love this little cafe. Their cortado and the coffee in general are the best in the region - I've had coffees in Switzerland and I must admit that we have nothing to envy them. The owner is absolutely kind and welcoming. I pray he finds somewhere a little bigger but in the city center please. Thank you Café Délice!“
“little gem coffee shop for breakfast bowls ! and most of them were vegans, and there’s vegetal options for coffee toowe are on the terrasse, really calm, no traffic aroundi recommend it for a fresh brunch, we left the cafe full of energy !“
“Super cute and rustic looking cafe with more beautiful fresh baked goods than you could hope for (without overdoing it) and good drip coffee. The peanut butter balls looked huge at first, but have a surprising light crunchy interior that makes them taste much more pleasant and light than what you would expect from just a solid peanut butter ball. I kinda love it.I'll definitely be back. Love this place.“
“I think this one is the nicest of all the Bridgeheads as it's the HQ and so it's a large open, post-industrial type space. There is ample seating including a large meeting table in the back. Plugs aren't as abundant in this location though.“
“I have to say that I was initially disappointed when I heard that this Happy Goat location in Westboro ended their partnership with Maverick's Donuts because I would frequently pick up donuts from there. Fortunately, they still sell donuts! They now have their own Happy Goat donuts instead. The Happy Goat donuts are yeast donuts (which I actually prefer over cake donuts, which are what Maverick's were). I've had a few flavours now and they are soft, fluffy and delicious. They have a flavour called "The Christopher" which has this delicious airy whipped cream and is topped with a piece of sponge toffee. Their apple fritter is quite tasty too and has big slices of apples inside. They have a savoury donut too, but I have not had it. Service is friendly and efficient. The cafe is bright and clean. Happy Goat is famous for their coffee, but I'm not a big coffee drinker. Street parking only.“
“Came by for a post dinner tea, inside it’s decorated very well, there are pictures all over the wall, some antique artifacts like an old radio near the sugar/cutlery station a mirror featured wall really gives the illusion of a bigger space. They have some seating available, including floor cushions. There is a sign that states limit to one hour when busy which I can understand. We arrived shortly before the post Iftar rush. It got very busy very quickly. Staff seemed to be overwhelmed as they get through all customers. We waited to have our order taken but sat down when they were busy. Eventually we placed our order and waited. Since we only got an adani chai and kunafa, we got our items quickly. The Adana chai was cooked well, it was creamy and flavourful. We got sugar sticks $.75 the concept it great, however, the stick breaks very quickly leaving your drink incredibly sweet so make sure to not leave it in there if you want a somewhat sweet tea.The kunafa was $12 for a piece. This was dissatisfying, it appeared to be re-heated because that was definitely not a fresh kunafa. It was dry and around the edges. We only had a few bites and left it.Overall, They have a large selection of drinks to choose from, and sandwiches. It appears to be incredibly busy during Ramadan but I will definitely come back to have the tea again.Wheelchair accessibility: No barriers in place“
“This is one of the best coffee shops around. their coffee is tasty and fresh. if you dislike sweet coffee avoid getting flavour shots. I recommend getting an iced oat latte. when it comes to treats, I really like the muffins warmed up. One star I’m taking away is from the breakfast wrap, honestly it was a mess. I had a cheese and egg wrap and it was just big chunks of cheese and a bland scrambled egg wrapped up. And my wrap had dried out ketchup so that was gross. I would avoid getting wraps and just go for the coffee. It was really good. The baristas were very kind and helpful.“
“Go here. Everything is great. But there’s a chance they’ve made cream puffs today. It’s only on special occasions, but maybe that’s today? Frankly it’s worth the risk. I cannot stop thinking about the cream puff. I had it last weekend and it haunts me still. Next time I’ll take a picture to remember it all the better. Be still, my cream puff.“
“Feel the jingle, taste the joy – Christmas season's brewing at Starbucks! Get ready to sip on the warmth of the holidays with your favorite hot beverage! Outside coffee prices can be found less though the tast is really recommendable?☕“
“Kid-friendliness: Totally kid-friendly! We have one out of four being a total owl fan, we took pictures in front of every owl in the café, everybody was so kind to us, shop assistants and costumers! We loved it!Wheelchair accessibility: ground floor, no issue there, top café accessibility.“
“Très bonne place pour manger des crêpes et des gaufres avec Achta, miel, pistaches et du bon chocolat Belge. Les smoothies sont très bons et pas trop sucrés avec des vrais fruits frais. En plus de l’accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Merci pour la chanson happy birthday, c’était très apprécié, nous reviendrons souvent sans hésitation.“
