“Good food, nice people, cozy atmosphere, verry reasonable price. Went years ago and recently got takeout, delicious.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Lots that is gluten free and the staff are typically knowledgeable about the food.“
“A really nice spot with great food. I find it's a bit crowded these days (understandably) so it may be best to book a table to avoid a wait, at least in the evening. My only gripe is that they don't allow people to book tables unless it's a larger group. This makes getting a table difficult at timesWheelchair accessibility: No ramp required and I believe there is a disabled washroom on the same floor to avoid stairs. The only issue may be navigating the restaurant in a chair when the restaurant is full.“
“We ordered (1) Koshari : was not the best honestly , eatable but not as authentic as known it was missing something might been some salt , the sauce was good actually. (2)Zataar wedges: they were so good the it cane with a side of garlic. (3) Lentils soup: it was good but you can easily make it yourself .Overall it was a good experience amazing staff and lovely atmosphere“
“Found this special spot when we searched online for breakfast places! Wow! So good! Americano was perfect, croissant breakfast sandwich delicious, and my husband really enjoyed his Wild plate! Our next trip to Ottawa we will definitely be coming back here. Great service, delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and fresh bakery treats!!! 5-star all around!“
“I frequent here several times a week because the food is consistently so fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and professional. Great job to the whole team that works here for doing an amazing job everyday that keep bringing people like me back for more.“
“Everything was 10/10! When I walked in I didn’t realize that it was a vegan/ gluten free establishment, OMG it made my day when the friendly female cashier told me!I ordered the old skool roll, Cookie Monster and a large matcha latte with almond milk.My partner bought two chocolate chip cookies and a brownie (should have bought 2 of the brownies, you really can’t share that :D )“
“I love these salads. They're so fresh, with balanced flavours and textures, and just yum. Also, the restaurant is very clean and the service is quick and polite. In terms of price, a single salad bowl is about $19 (including tip) so it's not an everyday place. But for a "fast food" salad, it's one of the best!I like the Santa Fe bowl the best :)“
“Went for a quick late lunch with my team on Wednesday, it was perfect. It was a little quiet so service was quick and the food came quickly as well. The server was super knowledgeable regarding gluten free items on the menu. We ended up all getting different bowls and loved our meals! I highly recommend the thrive salad, the beat hummus is delicious. On your way out, don’t forget to get yourself a little cookie ! My favorite is their power cookie (not pictured) But I noticed their PB one is also gluten free ❤️Dietary restrictions: Server was super knowledgeable regarding gluten allergy.“
“After hearing about this place for a few years I finally got the chance to give it a try. Let me say it was well worth the wait. Great vibe, friendly service and the best fried chicken I have ever had. My husband agrees! If you have been thinking about going you should absolutely go! Oh and everything can be made gluten free which is a huge bonus as someone with celiac!“
“I love going into this local shop. It is owned by a Ukrainian family, and they put a lot of love into everything they cook and bake. I love their perogies and cabbage rolls... oh, they are amazing! It is nice that they have a frozen section, so you can go in and get what you need to make them at home. It is true authentic Ukrainian homemade food. The customer service is divine, and the employees there are very helpful when you have questions.I highly recommend this place...“
“I always love everything I get from here! As someone with a nut allergy, it’s so comforting knowing everything is nut free. I love the seasonal products, local coffee beans and frozen pantry items. The cream egg brownie is a hit in our house! But, the cheesecake bars are always delicious too.“
“I was very excited to see a new vegan restaurant pop up in Ottawa, and I wasn't disappointed with my experience at St. Elsewhere. The atmosphere is casual-chic and the interior is well-decorated. The menu is small but versatile, with creative twists on wholesome plant-based ingredients. In terms of the small plates, I've tried the kale salad (16$) and the blooming onion (14$). The kale salad was good but quite ordinary and lacking in the promised sausage crumbles, while the blooming onion was perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. For the main dish, I highly recommend the gnocchi with sausage and almond ricotta (26$) - the gnocchis are pillowy and soft, the almond ricotta is creamy and tangy, and the kombu sauce is quite unique. I've also had the udon carbonara (26$), which was also delicious but I prefer the gnocchi. The portion sizes are decent; they will leave you satisfied but not overly stuffed. The dishes are a bit on the pricier side but I enjoyed the upscale vegan dining experience, which is hard to come across in Ottawa. Updated from previous review on 2024-02-20“
