We enjoyed several plates shared by all so we all got a taste of a wide variety of dishes and were equally impressed by them all. “Before today I thought that falafel was just something you endured if you wanted non-meat Lebanese food. At Falafel scoop, every crispy, fluffy morsel is cause for your tastebuds to celebrate. The eggplant and yogurt dip is a garlicky revelation. The lentil soup is hearty and comforting. The pita is fresh, tahini tangy. My new go-to shawarma spot.“

“Been living in Westboro for a few years and we wanted to try this new place that our neighbours told us about. What a lovely atmosphere! The service is very friendly, and they were accomodating for us to send one of their employees outside to our car to give us the pizza!! And the food is delicious!! We ordered a large pizza and the club sandwich and it was served with fries and a delicious salad on the side. Great stuff. Can't wait to come here in the summer!!“

“This location is not too far from the downtown core. Service is great and the food quality is more than acceptable. Served Japanese ramen at a western style restaurant was a surprise for me. The table size for 6 and the seats were a bit squishy.“

“Lettie and I visited Fred at his new restaurant yesterday (09/26/2015) and as usual, Fred's food was fabulous! We started with the Ginger Beer, which is undoubtedly the best I've ever had, subtle undertones of vanilla and cinnamon followed up by tons of ginger. We wanted to try the Sorrel drink, but after the Ginger Beer, I'm not sure it would rank. Fred made up some fish cakes for us, and being from the Maritimes, they were as good as any my Mom used to make, except Mom never put the great dipping sauce with them that Fred does. Our main course was Beef and Goat Rotis with salad. If you are not truly hungry, plan on taking some home because you'll be hard pressed to finish the plate. Fred has perfected his receipe for roti, and they were great as usual. We opted for very little heat to no heat, allowing the flavours to come through, and I'm glad we did as sometimes heat can overpower the combinations that make the dish. Rice and peas, fried plantain, sweet potato, broccoli and green beans were on the plate, adding to the variety of flavours and textures. We so wanted to try some dessert in house, but opted for a piece of Fred's own vegan chocolate cake to take home. It looks delicious and we're looking forward to having it with the leftovers we carted home. As we were getting ready to leave, Fred said he had some of his homemade apple pies in the oven and offered to sell us one. We decided to give it a try and are we glad we did! We both love apple pie and this one is one of the best either of us has ever had! I bake pies too, but I can't match what Fred did to this one. If this is on the board, you gotta try it. We live in Stittsville, so it's a long trek to the heart of downtown, but visiting Fred's place will give us a reason to make the drive. I'm going to try the Jerk Wings the next time.....“

Also, the restaurant is very clean and the service is quick and polite.In terms of price, a single salad bowl is about $19 (including tip) so it's not an everyday place. But for a "fast food" salad, it's one of the best!I like the Santa Fe bowl the best :)“

“Well worth the drive from West end Ottawa. Ordered a full size turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. Bird was good size well cooked moist & delicious. Came complete with mashed potatoes, vegetables, great home made stuffing as well as homemade cranberry sauce and gravy. Whole meal was excellent. I will certainly order again, maybe Christmas.“

“I've been a regular to this specific Poulet Rouge for quite a while now and the bowls genuinely never disappoint! You get to choose the sauce, chicken flavor & toppings to go with your bowl which makes it incredibly customizable. The people working there are always really kind and I always enjoy going there once a week when I can (usually on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons)!The bowl itself is very flavorful and the generous portions are well worth the money. “Everything was amazing! Went with some coworkers while on a work trip and their menu had so many options we took forever to decide. We all loved the food and service so much that we went back the next night with a larger group. Everyone loved their food and the service is wonderful! I got the birria tacos one night and the salmon and seafood linguini the next. Both were incredible. A couple coworkers got the heirloom salad and said it was really good also! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Ottawa!“
“I'm trying new restaurants and Yorgo's is my January pick. I called to place my order and drove to be there when the meals came out of the kitchen, 30 minutes later. This is a small establishment. You could eat in at one of the four stools facing the window counter but, clearly, this place is oriented to the take-out customer. My food was packed in a bag and ready to go with a quick tap on the credit card reader. Very efficient. I was home 15 minutes later. The generous portion of fried zucchini sticks were still hot; pretty impressive considering it was -19C that night. The pita sandwiches were awesome! Hot and tasty and exactly as ordered (one without onions and a sauce substitution). The salad was fresh and a nice mix of veggies with a hot bell pepper on top. The sauces and salad dressing are packaged aside so the food doesn't get soggy. Give this place a try; you will be happy you did ;)Parking: Ample parking in front of the restaurant“
“As someone who has gone around Ottawa trying to find good, gluten free pizza, oddly enough Pi Co is the best I've found so far. I have no complaints with the crust and I always enjoy the pizzas I get.Note: I don't choose one of their pizza choices and always make my own. I'm also not celiac, just gluten intolerant so I don't have the same worries if there may be some cross-contamination that others have to worry about.“
“I do like it very good but sadly it's changed I hope they truly listen to this advice stick to the way it used to be made 6 years ago or so. it was so big awesome but not as so anymore more. I even had a lasagna not long ago sorry it was not as big as it used to be I remember wow being so big they lived up to there name the owner before was the best, I know there two that were owners sadly one is gone but he was the best at making the food there everything was so big great price now it's not much different than most places so I don't mind going to Gabriel or willys few other places I hope super duper goes back to the original style this is no means of saying bad its just asking them to look back and do that again.“
