“I went to the standard to enjoy a patio on Canada Day. The Waitresses were all wearing masks and respected physical distancing. our table was sanitized. We drank out of pineapple, which was over the top in a good way. I had fish tacos, which were okay but they were a little bit liquidy. my friend had a chicken burger with just the right amount of crunch. it was the perfect patio and the perfect drink in the perfect food on a perfect day.“

“My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.“

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

Fantastic board game selection in good condition. Can buy games if you want, right from your table. Had a great old pub atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and makes sure you have what you need. I would highly recommend, and I would love to go again. Only real downside is no dedicated parking. It required a long time and a long walk to actually get to the location. “I was there for the end of a special beer event. The pop-up kitchen was delicious. The beer was amazing. They do a great job with these special events!! My time spilled into dinner service so I was then able to order the bison carpaccio- which was amazing as always. Also - don't miss out on their cocktails!! “We had the Hawaiian pizza and goat cheese pizza for our first dinner at this restaurant and they were amazing! Delicious light crust and delicious toppings, we thought we would need takeout containers but we were wrong! 😅

“Visited Montana's 13th November 2022 with a group of 7 other people. The atmosphere was good, enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and conversation, followed by our server taking our meal order. She was very efficient and ensured all our needs were met. The order took longer than expected to arrive, and when it did, the food was just warm. We explained to the server who was apologetic, the food was heated to our satisfaction, and enjoyed by all. We were visited by the Manager In order to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, following the issue we had experienced. She very kindly told us she was giving us a reduction on the total price as a sign of goodwill, and also provided free dessert for the group. I would say that was an excellent show of hospitality on the part of Montana's, and we will definitely be arranging future visits.“

“The best scone place in Ottawa I cannot tell how much I love it and I enjoy the food and always get some many scones for weeks. It is always a great day when I have my coffee with one of sconewitch scones. I love the tuna tomato scone and the cream and cranberry one and all of them to be honest.“

Waitress didn’t bother to bring items she said she would. Specifically requested an orange slice for my grandson, never arrived. Promised me cotton candy at the end of my meal. Never arrived. Went to pay because after 5 minutes of us all standing up and packing up the baby, still has to go inside to pay. That’s when my friend slipped on butter from a a knife that was on the floor, staff reaction was oh. And looked the other way!
Still after standing in front of my waitress ( the one who couldn’t care less about the accident the orange, and the cotton candy. Why would she care about my friend almost breaking her neck on a knife that was sitting on the floor ( I picked up their dirty knife) in between her at the cash and her coworker eating food at the table in between us then whoever the manager or the gentleman that seem to be working that day also said he was gonna go back and get me some cotton candy and never bothered to bring it out. Finally, we just walked away will never be back but hey, the food was good. Yes, I still tipped them. I shouldn’t have, but I did.“
