“Came to Ottawa for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a restaurant. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Got to go on Tuesday, where they have a special of tapas sized version of their main dishes. Servings are still good for 2 people to share. Great way to try a bunch of their dishes which were all very good. Service was amazing and ambiance was cute and cozy. Would want to check out their market in the day and co-restaurant cafe.“

“Incredible food in a very cozy and chill atmosphere. The beer menu is one of the best I've seen, extensive with lots of variety for good options to pair with your meal. The charcuterie items were all delicious, and the mains were phenomena - the best lamb I've ever had in my life. It was a perfect night out!“

“I had a lovely experience at Sansotei! The service was quick and friendly. I had the tonkotsu black ramen and the corn croquettes - both were delicious! The ramen broth was rich and full of flavour and the ramen noodles were perfectly al dente. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in Ottawa.“

“From the beginning the staff were incredibly kind! They helped me understand everything because I hadn’t been there before and was very friendly! I had the teriyaki chicken poutine and it was very nice! I would’ve liked a bit more teriyaki sauce but that’s genuinely just because it was so tasty! The red wine base gravy was delicious with the dish. Even though I lost at Mario Party I think I definitely will be visiting again in the future! Shy guy will not be invited next time (Normal computer). If you get a drink and a meal on top of the 9$ cover be ready to spend over 30 dollars. It’s delicious food but I’m not huge on drinks so I’d pass on it in the future. Was definitely worth giving it a try!

“The absolute best of the best!!!! The cocktails were delicious, the tartar was out of this world, the bread, the main meal… so very satisfied!“

“from just yesterday: Great experience overall, once again! We came here last year around this time (we live in Boston but come here to visit relatives) and during our visit we opted to come here again. Everything was again very good. The naan is superb, the KFC (kerala fried chicken) is kitschy but very tasty! Everything across the board was delicious except for the sauce that came with the scallops (which wasn't bad but it seemed odd, no one knew what to make of it and the person eating that dish avoided the sauce). Service was a little slower this time, but that's like most places these days that are suffering from not having enough staff. Ambiance is very pretty, understated, and nice - still a bit noisy so I'd still like to see more sound absorbers. The ones they have are great, you don't notice them, but they might be too high up to make a big difference.
We'll definitely be back again, hope it's still here next year!

Review below was from early December, 2023: The service was exceptional and the visual ambiance was wonderful. The host came over several times to check in on us, which was very sweet. The restaurant is so nice that it feels intimate, but the place was full of people and conversation which did make it difficult to hear each other. I appreciated the sound absorbers on the walls as they did help to dampen the overall noise of conversations from other tables. I wonder if more sound absorbers around table barriers would help as well.

Food was very good. We ordered the kfc appetizer as well as the pappadum, and for dinners, we ordered the chef special (lamb shank), mushroom curry, beef & potato curry, and chicken biryani. Everything tasted very fresh, not heavy, and very unique! How could I forget -- we also ordered parotta (naan). The parotta was the BEST we have ever had anywhere. I would go back just for this.

The chicken and the beef were a bit overcooked in our opinion, but maybe that is the kerala style? We felt the meat could have been a little more tender if cooked a bit less. The lamp shank could actually have used a bit more cooking to help it fall off the bone more. The mushroom curry was spot on.

Overall, the place deserves 5 stars. Everyone in the party was very happy and we will all come back again when we can.“

Noodles have a satisfying texture. The broth is light but flavorful. The green onion and cilantro garnishes are fresh.

Spicy beef side dish came with sliced onions, which added to the flavor.

I recommend this restaurant for those looking for Chinese noodles.“

“Had a good time trying pizza nerds after hearing a lot about it from friends. We were 3 people and shared 2 pizzas - each of us had 4 slices which was optimal. Arlington - donair was delicious and I highly recommend! Argyle - steak was alright, we changed from the tomato sauce base to white sauce which they were able to accommodate. Their donair and chili garlic dips are a must try! I suggest dining in as it’s best when fresh out of the oven.“

“I discovered this restaurant about 3 months ago and since then, im addicted to it! This place has amazing good food. The Bun Bo Hue "spicy", lemongrass soup is my favourite. I eat it at least 2-3 time per month. It is sooooo flavourful!!! Then, I've tried Bun Cha for the first time yesterday and I fell in love with this plate too. So fresh, so flavourful. “Visited Montana's 13th November 2022 with a group of 7 other people. The atmosphere was good, enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and conversation, followed by our server taking our meal order. She was very efficient and ensured all our needs were met. The order took longer than expected to arrive, and when it did, the food was just warm. We explained to the server who was apologetic, the food was heated to our satisfaction, and enjoyed by all. We were visited by the Manager In order to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, following the issue we had experienced. She very kindly told us she was giving us a reduction on the total price as a sign of goodwill, and also provided free dessert for the group. I would say that was an excellent show of hospitality on the part of Montana's, and we will definitely be arranging future visits.“

“We made a reservation since the spot is quite small so seating is limited. We got the Wasabi shrimp tempura, friend chicken Ramen and grilled chicken Ramen. The shrimp tempura was amazing. The mango sauce that came with it was delicious. I wanted abit more of the Wasabi flavour in the shrimp tempura but still tastes good. The broth for the Ramen could've been spicier but they do offer chilli oil. The fried chicken was good, no bones. I was not a fan of the grilled chicken though. Overall decent food and the decor inside is dope too.

“Had breakfast with a group of seven. There was a small line when we arrived at 10 am and a longer line after we left at 11:10 am. All of us ordered something different and everything looked so good. Food was fresh, tasty, and portions were huge. Plus food came out rather quickly considering every table was occupied.

Service was excellent. The owner was there talking to customers and helping out. Like he said “this is not a hobby for me.” And it shows. Our server was kind and thoughtful. Someone at our table asked about the sausages and our server brought him one to try. I could write another 2 paragraphs about how good this place is. I will save you the reading just try the place.

Luckily the fish clear sauce saved it as the noodles don’t have any flavour to it so you have to dip them in the sauce to get flavour. I would go back but I’d want to try a different dish.“

“In spite of being named for Athens, the restaurant is more of a shawarma shop. I got the large chicken sandwich with all the usual shawarma things like pickles and that purple turnip, plus extra garlic sauce. The portion was a good size for the price and the quality was high - chicken wasn't dried out like in some places. The kid also liked her small chicken sandwich. What I liked most was how friendly the staff were - I assume they are owner-operators. Skip the chain restaurants and support nice people like them!“
