“Super delicious pho! I ordered the Beef Rice Noodle Soup (#21 – Pho Chin Nam Gan) and the pork spring rolls, and both were excellent. The restaurant was clean, had a nice ambiance, and was surprisingly busy for a Monday evening.

The food was definitely the highlight. Service could have been a bit warmer! Staff seemed quite busy and weren’t particularly engaging

“There used to be a pho place in Toronto that I loved until it closed down 7 years ago. Since then, I could not find a pho place that I liked... until today. You can really taste the care Mama Mai puts into its dishes. The pho broth is very clear, and flavorful, without being too salty. Their fish sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and sour, with pickled cabbage and carrots in side it for an extra special touch. Their coconut coffee is a delicious refreshing treat, with a perfect balance of creaminess to that signature strong viet coffee. I am happy to add Mama Mai to my regular rotation of restaurants when ever I visit Ottawa.“

“Another Vietnamese Restaurant we've visited.
Located on the side street.
It was quiet and the staff were so polite and friendly.
Inside was very spacious and clean.
Food was great and freshly made. Good portion.
I love their chili garlic oil.
One thing concerns me is the parking space, good thing we parked on the other fastfood chain near by and we just walk few blocks away going on this place.

Overall was a good experience if you're craving for good food that makes your belly full and satisfied.

Recently, I decided to give it another chance, and I was pleasantly surprised — the food was actually really good. It got really busy so wedidnt see our server much, but we also didn't need anything so was fine.
We had #112 and 108 vermicelli. Delicious, the chicken and pork were grilled to perfection. the spring roll was different though, I wasn't a fan.

“If anyone says anything negative about this place I beg you to ignore them. I have a few severe food allergies that I am usually pretty clear on everytime I show up to dine in. Its my own risk for doing this but I can say that most things I tried, including the crispy noodle chow mein, are totally safe for peanut/nut allergies and sea food allergies. Look if youre celiac maybe thinnk of eating somewhere else?? I dont think any asian restaurant in the area is gluten friendly I would skip altogether dont be a bother. The pho is KILLER, better then noodle house down the road, may not have as many options as them but phu yens broth is more then authentic. Even the chinese food is really really good, and again for allergies you never know but be very clear with the staff, Cause I eat here all the time and never had a single reaction, where i went to an indian place not far and that right away gave me a reaction I just ordered a rice dish from the place. Long story short, I love their hot coffee, 5/5 stars for that, crispy chow mein is insane, pho is delicious, their vermicelli and rice/meat dishes tastes fresh everytime, dont expect a 5 star meal here folks but I guarantee what quality they have to offer should blow you away.“

I ordered the spiciest curry on the menu with the added wish "extra spicy," and the kitchen did not disappoint. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, good pricing. During my two hours in the restaurant, a valuable piece of jewellery fell to the floor and I left without it. I contacted the restaurant about it and left my name and address.
