“It is very modern compared to all the other restaurants in the area. The menu was very easy to navigate, the restaurant was roomy and clean overall. The service was attentive and helpful. Everything was relatively quick.

The noodle soup dishes and pho were the same as all other restaurant, slightly on the bland side. However, they are very generous with the servings.

The appetizers are actually worth it in my opinion, and the vermicelli and rice dishes are more appealing than others.“

“I had a really nice dinner at this Vietnamese restaurant! The pho was the standout, rich, flavourful broth with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh ingredients. It was super comforting and exactly what I was hoping for.

The service was good overall. The staff were polite and attentive, though there were a couple small moments where things felt a bit slow, which is why I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5. Still, they were friendly and made the experience pleasant.

The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a warm meal. It wasn’t perfect, but definitely enjoyable.

Dining room is everything but fancy and I hope it never change as all that matters is that decadent broth ... I recommend pho number 20 that has brisket and beef flank, 2 fatty cut that make it even more comforting. Me and my partner still try other places every once in a while hopping we can find a comparable since Saigon Boy closes early and aren't open on Tuesdays but nothing compares 🤷‍♂️“

Flavors were solid and you are getting what you paid for. I really enjoyed the pad Thai and the shrink satay soup was good. The soup could have been a bit deeper of flavor but thats what the side condiments fixed. The shrink donut was excellent and had that crispy texture while holding in the soup that you wish for.

Customer service can be hit-or-miss at some Viet-owned businesses in Canada, so it was refreshing to feel genuinely welcomed here. The owner was friendly, happy to chat with my family, and had a relaxed, approachable vibe. They mentioned leaving Vietnam many years ago and never returning - which may explain why the pho noodles lacked a bit of depth - but for me, dining out is about more than just flavour.

Offering a broad menu while keeping flavours strong isn’t easy, so I appreciated that they leaned into other Asian cuisines rather than padding the menu with beginner-friendly food like fries or pasta. The space is small and cozy, and given the location, the pricing feels fair. With Ottawa prices hovering around $16–$20 per dish these days, there’s little to complain about.

If you’re after strong, authentic Vietnamese flavours, this spot may disappoint. But for a relaxed meal with friends or coworkers - especially given the location - it fits the bill.“

“I have been here a few times now and tried the pho and a few rice and noodle dishes. Everything has been A+. The staff clearly knows how to cook Vietnamese the right way. For example, the crispy noodles with beef and veg should be light and not soaked in oil or sauce, and as you can see from the photo they nailed it in both presentation but also taste. Will return.“

I ordered the spiciest curry on the menu with the added wish "extra spicy," and the kitchen did not disappoint. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, good pricing. During my two hours in the restaurant, a valuable piece of jewellery fell to the floor and I left without it. I contacted the restaurant about it and left my name and address. A week later the item arrived in my mailbox here on the other side on the country. I was profoundly touched by this act of kindness. “When they first opened, I tried the food and found it tasteless, so I didn’t go back. Recently, I decided to give it another chance, and I was pleasantly surprised — the food was actually really good. I’ve tried a few dishes like General Tso’s, Pad Thai, and shrimp rolls, and they were all tasty. I’m looking forward to trying more from their menu!“

“If anyone says anything negative about this place I beg you to ignore them. I have a few severe food allergies that I am usually pretty clear on everytime I show up to dine in. Its my own risk for doing this but I can say that most things I tried, including the crispy noodle chow mein, are totally safe for peanut/nut allergies and sea food allergies. Look if youre celiac maybe thinnk of eating somewhere else?? I dont think any asian restaurant in the area is gluten friendly I would skip altogether dont be a bother. The pho is KILLER, better then noodle house down the road, may not have as many options as them but phu yens broth is more then authentic. Even the chinese food is really really good, and again for allergies you never know but be very clear with the staff, Cause I eat here all the time and never had a single reaction, where i went to an indian place not far and that right away gave me a reaction I just ordered a rice dish from the place. Long story short, I love their hot coffee, 5/5 stars for that, crispy chow mein is insane, pho is delicious, their vermicelli and rice/meat dishes tastes fresh everytime, dont expect a 5 star meal here folks but I guarantee what quality they have to offer should blow you away.“

I usually order the traditional pho, but today I decided to try their special pho. I ordered Brisket Curry Noodle Soup 🌶️ SO good!!!!! The soup had the perfect balance of coconut milk and spice. The beef was cooked perfectly and just melted in my mouth. ( I’m serious !)

My husband ordered the Bún Bò Huế 🌶️🌶️ and is highly recommended for anyone who loves spicy food 🤣. So much flavor! It’s absolutely perfect for a cold day (it was -7°C when we went!).
