“Came here to try the Meal For Two ramen. I got myself the Beef Shoyu with garlic oil and my parner ordered the beef original. This was my first time ordering a beef ramen. I usually get pork ramen. It turned out pretty well. The broth was very flavorful especially the beef shoyu one. Give it a try if you want some variety with your ramen. Pork Gyoza was also delicious and crispy. The server was also very attentive and nice—great hospitality.”

The birthday cake was a simple but perfect dessert. Our server was so kind, and the overall time spent at Heartbreakers couldn’t have been better. Hopefully they might expand at some point-getting a reservation isn’t easy! :)”

The prices are very affordable for the quality offered.The service is second to none and the atmosphere is good. We purchased products from the store for the return. Smoked salmon is unique. For around $6.00 you can make 2 bagels. In short, it is certain that we will return there during our next visit to Ottawa.Parking: Located in a small shopping center, no problem parking.”

Beats The Works 100% I have to be honest, when we saw another burger joint go up in Embrun we over looked it. But our friends kept talking to us about it and we all went. BEST burgers in town!! Love the creativity and flavours. I don’t even care for burgers usually…but I already have my next burger planned out!”

“Went back to Town for the first time since 2018. Food and drink is still good but I do dislike that they merged the menu with Citizen. They used to be distinct and have different reasons to dine at, now it’s basically the same restaurant that takes the best from both and removes a lot of other options. Service was quick but it did feel a bit like they were trying to rush us out to turn around the table. Prices were fair.”

“I tried this store on a whim because I was craving mergas (sausage) I was pleasantly surprised about this quaint sandwhich shop. The owner was very polite and hospitable and went out of is way to name is feel welcome. He spent some time explaining how Moroccan argon oil paste works and why it is used in the bath houses. We ordered the mergas with fries sandwhich and we were delighted that I came with tea! I wish I could post a picture, but I didn’t even make it home. I devoured it in the car. The bun was fresh and crispy, accompanied with lettuce, mayonnaise freshly diced white onions and fresh crispy fries. It was delicious! There were fries piled on either side of the sandwhich and the tea was light and refreshing. I ordered mine with sugar to combat the heaviness of a heavy sandwhich. I came in for a sandwhich but needed up with a meal and a drink. Well worth the 11 dollars I spent. I will be back to try more sandwhiches and to sample the cous cous on Fridays.Vegetarian options: Frite sandwhich”

“The food is exceptional. You won't find better Italian food. We shared escargot, I had Cannelloni, my hubby had veal Parmigiano. My sister had filet mignon, my sister-in-law had smelts. The range is impressive. I didn't have room for dessert, in fact I brought some home.It was a birthday celebration, and we were unable to bring in our own sugar free cake (2 bdays, same day, both diabetic) so that's my only regret.Great server. Nick! A wonderful night. We had a party of 8 and unfortunately unless you were in the middle you couldn't communicate with others, it's very loud. We have been there before and will be again. The food was delicious with lots of options, the customer service was great as well.They do have a prayer room which is perfect during ramzaan. You do have to make a reservation before hand for the buffet.Only reason it’s a 4/5 stars is because I am not a fan of their takeout combo which we had previously.”
“Wow ! This place is worth driving from anywhere in Ottawa to visit. I wish I could give the service 6 out of 5 stars because our server was just so helpful, patient and friendly. As a non-indian person I am often overwhelmed and confused by the menu at indian restaurants but our server explained everything so well and helped us all pick dishes that were unbelievably delicious. I was so excited to eat my leftovers the next day for lunch. We will be back! Thank you so much to everyone at Sona.”

The trout itself was good, and the pasta with chorizo was good, but it just didn’t work together. The pasta was too spicy and it took away from the fish. Extremely disappointed with that considering it’s also the most expensive thing on the menu. With all that said the service was fantastic. Couldn’t have had a better waitress.”

Ray is usually our server and he is friendly, funny, and is always willing to tell you more about the creation process of their menus.The menu is varied with some unique options that are well worth the venture (Three Brothers is a favourite of ours!). With constantly changing drink and food options it feels new and exciting each time you go, and there's always something for even the pickiest of drinkers. “FINALLY had a chance to try Lola’s Kitchen today. We are a family of 4 with the youngest being a picky eater. We had Chicken Adobo, Chicken Sisig, BBQ Beef Ribs and Beef Tapa. We LOVED every dish, extremely tasty. So tasty, we finished our plates (incl. the picky one… he said “Mmmmm”), and unfortunately didn’t leave enough room for dessert, but we will definitely be back. Next time, we will get those platters that other tables ordered. They looked fantastic! We will also consider calling Lola’s for catering. Fantastic elevated Filipino food!! Yummm!”

The pontine was amazing, and I love how the gravy is mushroom based, I would love to have thicker fries in a poutine, rather than the thinner cut fries they serve, but it’s still a pretty good serving. The atmosphere is very appealing for a place that’s open 24/7, would definitely come back here!”

My favourite dish was the squash cappellacci, absolutely delicious and a little sweet and savoury. The bucatini alla gricia was decent but quite similar to other pasta dishes in Italian restaurants. I did find the menu to be quite limited, as someone who doesn’t eat pork there was not a ton of options. I would however still come back when the menu changes as the food was definitely delicious.”

“We wish we had more reasons to hire Merry Dairy’s ice cream truck after hiring them to serve ice cream at our wedding. The truck added such a fun element to the evening, and guests loved the surprise and opportunity to stretch their legs while grabbing their dessert. Merry Dairy was exceptional and super easy to work with. They were flexible, reliable, and the staff serving ice cream was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They had a vegan option, too, which especially our guests with dietary restrictions really appreciated. Their ice cream is delicious! Please do yourselves a favour and eat Merry Dairy ice cream.”

The textures were quite good compared to typical small town fare as well.The western menu is solid if a little bit less inspired. Our highlight out of it is all of the ice cream, which is very basic but continues with the general theme of the menu having what feels like 50% of the sugar cut out of it to make it much more palatable.Don't get me wrong this is still junky take-out food in all the ways that you want, but those who know the proverb will know what I mean when I say..."Not too sweet."Kid-friendliness: There are several play-place structures.”

All the store lights were turned off and everything was closed but I asked my son to pick a cake from behind the glass freezer so I could return the next day for the purchase. Richard popped out from the back of the store and offered to help us anyways even though DQ was closed. He explained the cake styles, asked what colour of ink we wanted on the cake and patiently packed everything, all the while being cheerful. He made our day and saved me a second trip! My son commented on how nice he was after we left. Keep up the work!! This is the type of service that builds customer loyalty!”

The pontine was amazing, and I love how the gravy is mushroom based, I would love to have thicker fries in a poutine, rather than the thinner cut fries they serve, but it’s still a pretty good serving. “I have tried numerous Shawarma places throughout Ottawa. My family and many of my friends have been going to this restaurant for almost 20 years. Their shawarma sandwiches, plates and family platters have a good amount of food, the meat is almost always perfectly moist and tasty.I find when I am working long days outside, a shawarma is the really the only fuel I need to endure the day. I love their tabouleh, and their pickled turnips (yummm - firm and nice pink) and peperoncini peppers (oh yes - not too salty or flimsy) are the best in all the places I've been to.We absolutely love their flatbreads - I personally love the veggie one. Nice and hot in only a few minutes.Service is generally very quick, with the only delays (as expected) right at lunch or supper.The staff are friendly, responsive and helpful.Overall, the booths are kept quite clean.A great place to eat and good value - especially with their discount program for loyalty.”

“Had a great time on a first date here. Nice quaint round booth table on a Tuesday. I would come again for sure. The price was a little high, but everything feels that way nowadays. Etienne was our server and he did a great job! Attentive but not overbearing, he sang and hum to himself as he moved around which was delightful. The only reason the atmosphere was a 4 is because I feel like with the massive opening to the hotel lobby it loses a bit of the restaurant feel and you every once in a while feel like it's not as "cozy"”

The jack fruit burger reminds me of a pulled pork sandwich it had great flavour profile and the portions are perfect. The menu isn’t very big, but I was surprised to see a couple vegetarian options. The atmosphere is very nice. We were sat in the back room which allowed for the noise to be broken up a little bit and gave a sense of privacy. I really enjoyed dining with them, and I will be visiting again!”
