I think there has only been one time where service was slow, but she luckily put it on the house since I had to go upstairs (I was seated in the basement with my friends) and grab her attention.

Fortunately, the games are pretty well organized and well-kept; I think every game I've played with my friends has had its pieces mostly in tact.
I also enjoyed the video gaming experience; nitpick: the games have no sound. Not a huge dealbreaker(especially since game sound might negatively add to the pub's noise levels) but just something to know.
Washrooms are great - I believe they are mostly gender neutral? Otherwise, they are at least well cleaned.”

“Highly recommend! I was hesitant at first because I had no idea what the majority of menu items were. I was completely blown away. I am a very picky person, but the menu and how the food was explained in full detail, no matter the question by our incredible waitress was the first sign this is the place to be! A huge thank you to the waitress especially, the staff as a whole and a huge high-five to the chefs for clearly putting your all in to every single menu item. They serve poutine in some of their breakfast meals, and their dark gravy was very delicious and unique.There are tons of options for milkshake, and the shake portion was huge and served directly in the shake machine cup. Blackberry shake was fine; a bit too sweet and fruit flavor not outstanding. Interior was lovely, clean and no frills and just I want to experience when going to a diner.”

“Stopped by this evening and picked up a half‑dozen assorted bagels. Everything looked fresh, well‑made, and exactly what you hope for from Kettlemans. The shop had that familiar, steady energy — staff moving with purpose, shelves stocked, and the bagels coming out with that classic sheen.

The assortment I grabbed looked great in the bag, and the photos I took really show off the texture and colour. A simple, reliable stop that delivers every time.

“I recommend Kettlemans as the food is good and they have good variety. That said. The service is sub-par. My wife and I stop here regularly on Sunday Mornings about 7 am 2 or 3 times a month. Consistently nobody greets us even though there are many workers who make eye contact and just keep doing whatever they're doing. More often than not we have to call out to get attention after waiting several minutes at the front counter. Management doesn't seem to value customer service and simply expects people to keep coming back as if Kettlemans' history entitles them to customers. That is a surprising attitude in an otherwise excellent store.”

“On average we get take out from Sula Wok once per week. We love the food and the vibe of the place. (Sula and her gang are also very nice to deal with). I really like the traditional Pad Thai. Recently, Sula asked that I try a slightly new version of the dish (apparently less fishy). Sula asked that I let her know if I liked it or not. While I thought the taste was a little different (maybe not as spicy or “fishy”), I still loved it and will be ordering it again.”

The food itself was great. Maybe the best noodle I ever had. The portion size was good. The taste was awesome. The ingredients seemed fresh.
A bit pricey though. However it's always better to pay more for fulfilling portion of good food with fresh ingredients than the opposite.

“My wife and I hired Keerthi to design and make the wedding cake for our October wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the warmth and care that she put into making sure the cake was just perfect for us! We tried quite a few flavours and ended up sticking with the maple apple cake, which went along with the fall vibes of the wedding perfectly! I was worried that our request for a black cake would be difficult to pull off, but she knocked it out of the park and the guests at our wedding were RAVING about it.

Well, I found (thank you David) the best place, and the fully renovated no longer clock tower pub now the Sultan Ahmet Turkish Cuisine Resto!

Lunch style 'table d' hote' with soup, main & desert for $25.... And I took alot home!! So I had the lentil soup (one of the best I have ever had), the beef iskendar kabap lunch portion & pistachio baklava! Which was more than enough for leftovers. AND got to try the mix mezze plate (with Ezme, Baba Ganoush, Hummus & Cacik) & bread!

And great service.. Had Abdulla, the manager serve me...Sweet, adorable & professional!!

While the scallops were cooked well the purée lacked flavour.. missing that hit of cheese. I had to use some lemon to liven the dish a bit. My friend had the streak frites, medium rare that came rare. We had the kitchen bring to temp. I had a bite and it was tender and flavourful. I will return to try more from the menu and see how it goes. A great place either way for atmosphere and drinks.”

“This was our third year in a row hosting a large dinner (13 people) in the private room downstairs, and each and every time it's been the perfect experience. The AV equipment is a breeze to set up, we control the volume of the music and the temperature in the room. That space, the team, the set menu they offer- just the best!”

“As a tourist I came here looking for something different from a typical US diner and wasn't disappointed. They serve poutine in some of their breakfast meals, and their dark gravy was very delicious and unique.There are tons of options for milkshake, and the shake portion was huge and served directly in the shake machine cup. Blackberry shake was fine; a bit too sweet and fruit flavor not outstanding. Interior was lovely, clean and no frills and just I want to experience when going to a diner.”

“Went here yesterday, really loved the ambience and the reflect of Nepali culture as the interior. I loved all food, everything was delicious. My favorite was the selroti achar and chowmein with their chutney. It gave me a typical Nepali taste and it felt so good. The service was lovely. Thank you so much for serving us and making our experience beautiful overall. Special thanks to the cook and the friendly young guy and girl who was in the cashier. Definitely recommend when you visit Ottawa and you’re craving some good Nepali food!”

“It's the only spot in Ottawa where you can get 'kumpir.' Menu prices are fair. They have free parking, and the staff are super nice. They even kept my food warm in the oven until I got there, which shows they really care. You should check it out.”
