We had pizza which was good but the Celebration cake tasted like it came out of a cake mix box with sprinkles thrown in before baking to add colour. Then thick bulk icing that was ridiculously heavy and way too sweet. Great cake for a six old perhaps? The three of us were shaking our heads. Based on the reviews, Heartbreakers Pizza - Parkdale Ave is a cute little spot to enjoy wine and pizza. The pizza is the absolute BEST in Ottawa, with a crust that is perfectly thin, crisp, and structurally sound. The toppings are not skimped on, and the flavor profiles are incredibly well-balanced with a great, tangy kick to the sauce. The Sweetheart pizza, with honey and jalapeno with pepperoni, is a killer combination. The garlic dip is great too. The staff is amazing, super kind, and the service is quick and attentive. The space is cozy, super cute with dark green and pink, and the vibe is relaxed and chill, though it fills up incredibly fast so a reservation is needed. The only catch is the music can be a few decibels too loud. A small pizza and a glass of wine is a really good price at $50 with tip. It is officially one of the favourite places in Ottawa.
