V cool little gem tucked in a location that feels industrial. You walk through a large kitchen to a portal made in heaven. Smallish space-could use a little more noise reduction but our food was impeccable and eye catching. Bryan was our waiter-he knows his food and was a perfect guide to an extensive gourmet dinner. All dishes were shareable. The tempura shrimp was to die for. We'll be back!
The food was amazing. The menu was clearly curated by well-rounded chefs, the plating was wonderfully artistic, the waiter was able to give a background on every dish he served us and answer our questions, and the atmosphere was just the right level of intimacy you'd want in a restaurant. We went with family that doesn't eat sushi, and I don't think we could've picked a better place to introduce them to the cuisine. 10/10.
We were visiting from Vancouver where the Japanese food is very good. We’ve hit up a number of Japanese restaurants in Ottawa over the years on multiple trips but this place sets the gold standard for the city. There’s some serious talent and creativity in the kitchen.
