“Such a cool spot. It's tiny and cute. Staff are friendly and food was delicious. They have various daily specials and a menu that is much larger than you would think a space like this could support. Great Spot, will go again.Dietary restrictions: Limited Selection of Gluten Free options.“
“If you’re someone who enjoys authentic Asian food, anime and a down to earth atmosphere then Kuidaore is the spot. My fiancé and I came here and we cannot stop talking about this place. The manager is super friendly and the food is very flavourful!“
“This place is incredible. We got the volcano salmon roll, ace roll, ika and unagi. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Service was super quick and the food tasted so fresh and were packed with flavor! Would highly recommend having a meal here!“

“A fantastic dinner with a WOW Factor. Thr Godzilla Bite is a showstopper. Really enjoyed the Big Boss, Yummy Yummy, and the Salmon Oshi. The Fire Dragon was also a cool show but the unagi overpowered the rest of the roll. The plum wine was also a nice experience. Super sweet and tasty.Service was also spectacular, especially for our big group, with many of us sharing plates and orders.“
“Recommended, super delicious, the sauerkraut and pork belly are so fragrant, and the beef tongue and lamb are also delicious. Four people were so full after eating three portions of meat, and I want to eat it again next week. The key is that the service today is also very considerate. This is my first time here. Tips for eating all the barbecue details“
“I frequented this little hidden gem quite a lot. They offered authentic home style Japanese dishes, such as curry, a variety of donburi and katsu bento. What they offered is quite rare in Ottawa. The food here is unassuming but delicious. Always comforting and reminds me of my time in Japan. Will definitely come back again!“
“I LOVE sushi, and Sushi 88 is easily my favourite sushi restaurant in Ottawa. Prices are a little high, but the quality of the food is unparalleled, and I am never left wanting more. The green tea and miso soup served also pairs really well with the main meal! Extra points for the really great wasabi!“
“The price is very expensive but it is some of the best quality I had in the city. Tried Osaka roll, tsubaki mushroom, inari, California roll and Ora king salmon rainbow (this was the best!!). The California roll is different, includes tamago too I think. Overall there is a lot of filling and the ratio is super compared to rice. I think it’s a good place for trying their novelties and not for being full but I would come try again. This was $104, shared with 2 people.“
“Hidden sushi spot inside pomelo hat! Love that they have sushi available for takeout with friendly service! Got the salmon and tuna poke with spicy mayo and it was quite tasty! I personally found the portions slightly smaller than other poke restaurants (don’t give as much rice) but nonetheless still super filling!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and pescatarian options available!Parking: No actually parking lot, but lots of free street parking in neighbourhood streets in the back or paid parking during certain times on bank street.Wheelchair accessibility: No, you have to go up a couple steps to get to store front and inside is a bit tight.“
“Killer Sushi Spot You Gotta TryOkay folks, listen up. I just hit up this sushi joint on Preston and it completely blew my mind. I'm talkin' PRISTINE fish and epic rolls that will have your tastebuds doin' backflips. We're talkin' fresh, melt-in-your-mouth good. The vibe, straight fire and the staff, so on point I couldn't even finish a sip of green tea before they swooped in to top me off. Serious ninja skills.Overall, this place is killin' it on all fronts. From the food to the feel, it's an 11 outta 10 experience that won't break the bank. Do yourself the ultimate solid and book yourself a table asap. You can thank me later!“
“This place was amazing! The happy hour was great and also included food so we were happy to learn that. The vibes are immaculate, really felt like we were somewhere else. Every item of food was delicious, our personal favorites were the takoyaki and the mentaiko udon (so creamy!). I definitely want to go again. The small portions are reasonably priced and it's a great concept to try many dishes.“
“Always fresh fishes! Impeccable quality, BEST SUSHIS in town! Delivery on time or before with smile always!Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to spicy spices so they pay attention to it. They split my meal from others to make sure I can eat safely!“
“Best sushi place ever!! I came here to try out their sushi after a lot of people recommended it to me and i do not regret it. The owners are welcoming and kind. All the workers are very professional and respectful. The service was extremely fast and food was amazing!!! Im very happy to have heard of this place and will be coming back 100%. The sushi is truly amazing.“
“From the silent traveler to all of you. Be well, be safe, be pleasant, be joyful. This is a great Asian style Japanese restaurant. The name in itself is very unique. I highly recommend this place. Though the entrance, the welcome in was very warm. The atmosphere is set up as if you were in Japan. The food came out in an excellent time once you placed the order. The staff also provided a very nice to go box. If you're in the area this is a place that you must try when visiting Ottawa.“
“Conveniently located within the Minto plaza in downtown Ottawa is the Go For Sushi food court restaurant. They offer good fresh food and service. I enjoyed the poke spicy salmon the most.If you like my reviews, photos or videos then Go For the like button“
“Came here earlier today to have a late lunch/early dinner. Their lunch menu goes until 4pm mon-thurs. I got the seafood miso ramen and it was delicious. The broth was perfect and the portion was great! The atmosphere was nice, they played soft Japanese songs. Overall a great place to come by yourself or with a small group.“
“Good prices, family owned, delicious Korean street food! Been coming here for years while in Ottawa and love getting vegetarian food here. My recommendations are the Rideau crisps, yakiudon and udon soup, and the cold noodles in the summer.“
“Oh my god this is a gem! I walked in yesterday being really hungry and had no idea about this place. They only do take-out, I told them I only had 10 minutes, they said they could make tempura shrimp rolls in 5 minutes. And they did! Just in front of me. There was a pleasant man and a woman there who were making the rolls. The rolls were so good!!! I will definitely come back and will write about them in my blog.“
“I went to Festival Japan for lunch for the first time in a number of years. They've redecorated and the decor is gorgeous. The food and service was a wonderful as always. My only critique would be the fact that they no longer serve “standalone” sushi at lunch; that is now only available at dinner. However, the lunch menu offered lots of choice and which included a sushi roll with most of the Bento box options. I will go again, for lunch and dinner, and highly recommend this restaurant. “
“Extremely fresh ingredients, extra crispy onions on top and perfect other ingredients-rice ratio. It's not cheap, but also quality comes with a price most of the times. I forgot that here in Canada prices are displayed without taxes, I was hoping to pay 17 dollars for this dish, but I ended paying almost 20.“
“I ordered from DoorDash so I honestly don’t know about the atmosphere but I don’t care about that when the food is this good. I ordered the Salmon Poke bowl and it was fresh and delicious. It was tangy, spicy, crunchy and satisfying. I also ordered the fried spring rolls which were also really tasty. Not greasy like other places, just crunchy and fresh. So glad this place opened up in my neighbourhood. I will try the sushi next time for sure but can see this being a regular place for me now. The prices were reasonable too.“
“Large variety of meats. Should add more seafood and veggie choices to the menu. The servers are well trained and definitely know what they are doing. Those dining tables are a bit small. We had a group of 9 so we were allowed to reserve a table. For small group you need to put yourself to a wait list through an app, and this is the only thing I don’t like.“
