The price is very expensive but it is some of the best quality I had in the city. Tried Osaka roll, tsubaki mushroom, inari, California roll and Ora king salmon rainbow (this was the best!!). The California roll is different, includes tamago too I think. Overall there is a lot of filling and the ratio is super compared to rice. I think it’s a good place for trying their novelties and not for being full but I would come try again. This was $104, shared with 2 people.

Fantastic place Sushi!!! Reached out to Shinka for catering service for a party of 12 adults. Joel proposed a menu, basically ordered what he recommended and really was a success!!! Quality, taste, quantity and presentation all perfect!!! Never been disappointed. Long time customer and never been disappointed. Keep it up Shinka and team!

Honestly, this place is an easy 5/5. Incredible quality. I have tried almost every single sushi spot in Ottawa and this is by far the absolute best. I don’t mind paying more, it’s worth it. The quality is worth it. I will definitely be back to try more!!!

Ordered shinka online, we got the $150 omakase and it was delicious. The quality of fish, to the variety and the creativity definitely stood out. The portions were great for 2 people we were both satisfied and they price tag for an at home omakase wasn’t terrible. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

My partner and I ordered the 32 piece sushi set. They had really unique types of sushi that we have never seen before. The scallop and seared sushi tasted good. However, some pieces had a lot of raw green onions in it that overpowered the rest of the sushi. There were no prices on their website. It is quite expensive for sushi, as we paid over $100 for this set. Overall, it was not bad and unique, but quite expensive for what we ordered.
We honestly had an incredible experience for our first time. They really raised the bar high for sushi standards in Ottawa. Fish quality is incredible and presentation so unique. If you go there for your first time, invest into an omakase, the Chef will truly blow your mind. This is high quality sushi, it’s a treat, and I can’t see a place like this be affordable. This is not average, it’s an experience and worth it. We’re hooked and will make it a once a month thing! Great work Chef!

The creativity, the accuracy of the arrangement of flavors and the presentation were all there. We had the privilege of tasting these delights on site, therefore the opportunity to meet the brigade as well as the conductor who perfectly reflect the high level quality of their products and services. We will without hesitation do another 200km just to gorge ourselves on Shinka which now sits alone on our #1 sushi spot, as the other would say, it's worth the detour! It’s good to read the reviews, trying it is even better, believe me, you won’t be disappointed ? Cheers
