“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

We chose the blind tasting menu, and every dish was a delightful surprise. The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I never imagined that food could bring together so many incredible flavours, aromas, and spices in every bite!

“AMAZING WEDDING CATERING! We are just back from our honeymoon in Nassau, and as we organize our new lives as Mr and Mrs, we can't stop talking about what the Royals Restaurant did at our wedding. That evening, the chatter was surely talking about the food. And guests are still talking about it. The meals were outstanding. The Pesto Chicken with Roasted Red Peppers & Goat Cheese, the Roasted Sirloin with Yorkshire Pudding, the hors d'oeuvres, just to recap a few.... were thoroughly enjoyed. With Chef Derrick carving the beef, he definitely finished off the buffet line in style. Plates were full, and then enjoyed by each guest. The flavours were simply succulent. But it was not just about the food. Melissa and Lindsay were at the venue far before the guests arrived. The place settings were precisely arranged ensuring that everything was lined up. The stemware and cutlery were perfect. Their management of the setup was amazing. The staff supported all the guests so professionally. A big thank you to Melanie, for operating the bar with class. To all the staff in the background, our sincere thank you as well. From the first minute that the catering trailer showed up, to the last minute when Melissa & Lindsay left at 1:00am... we were thrilled that the Royals Restaurant were a part of our wedding day. “The staff at Dinette Atomique clearly take pride in the food they serve up and and its flavours. The menu reflects fusion of south asian flavours with a range of other dishes and for the most part things work well. The only improvement I can think of would be to strengthen the use of herbs such as cilantro and mint that really do give flavour twists that make this style of cooking already stand out. The spring rolls were excellent but departed from most spring rolls in that they were more like sausages with fewer vegetable ingredients. Although this made them heavier than expected they were still excellent. The Crispy Rice Cake Hash was also well put together and unique. The restaurant is full of finishing touches like the chef's own hot sauce and ketchup etc - all rounding out a unique food experience. I would definitely return to try some more items from the menu and the atmosphere is unique and melds closely with the second hand shop next door!“

“Delicious food with interesting and well-balanced spice mix. Portions are ample, but not excessive, and price-to-food ratio feels fair. The service was outstanding, in the sense that the staff were friendly in a genuine manner. I did take-out, so I can not speak to the quality of dine-in service. The ambiance is fine, the restaurant has the vibe of a place where you would expect a group of Middle-Eastern seniors to hang out and have tea all day, that sort of coziness. Nothing flashy, but completely fine. We’ll be back for sure.“

“We had such an amazing experience at Le St-Laurent! We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and everything from the food to the service was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and every dish we tried was so well done. The braised beef was probably the best dish I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was phenomenal. Kudos to the chef!

The service really made the evening even more special. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience throughout the night. The atmosphere was beautiful and perfect for a birthday celebration or special occasion. The sunset was also remarkable.

“A wonderful Friday night experience celebrating a friend’s birthday. Beautiful, relaxing and cosy ambiance, with friendly and prompt service by Luanne. The mixologist really knows what she’s doing with the handcrafted cocktails and each drink was served in just the perfect glass. Charcuterie and mezze platters were unique and delicious. A fantastic spot for date night, solo dining or with a crowd for happy hour.“

“This restaurant is a gem, especially for weekend brunch. As a local permanent makeup artist with a studio downtown this is my favourite place to grab a full slow-food breakfast before my first client arrives. The table settings are luxury class with white linens and proper settings. The variety and quality of food is excellent. I imagine that travellers staying in the hotel would have an excellent experience. Having tried other hotel restaurants in the downtown core I can say that the Carleton Grill is competing very well.“

“Visited Montana's 13th November 2022 with a group of 7 other people. The atmosphere was good, enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and conversation, followed by our server taking our meal order. She was very efficient and ensured all our needs were met. The order took longer than expected to arrive, and when it did, the food was just warm. We explained to the server who was apologetic, the food was heated to our satisfaction, and enjoyed by all. We were visited by the Manager In order to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, following the issue we had experienced. She very kindly told us she was giving us a reduction on the total price as a sign of goodwill, and also provided free dessert for the group. I would say that was an excellent show of hospitality on the part of Montana's, and we will definitely be arranging future visits.“

I was blown away by every single thing me and my husband ate.. all of their ingredients are locally sourced and Canadian!

Also it’s insane how attentive and caring the servers are, my server was awesome, he explained every dish in detail and came and checked on us at the right time every time!
He made us feel like V.I.P even tho we were just regular diners.
I forget his name but he was a French blonde gentlemen.

​We had a wonderful experience at Milestones on Baxter Rd (next to IKEA). Our waitress, Cassidy, was incredibly friendly and took great care of us. We ordered the steak sandwich and the sandwich trio, and both were absolutely delicious. Fantastic service and amazing food—what more could you ask for? Highly recommend!“
