“Came for an anniversary dinner and definitely didn’t leave disappointed. Good service, nice atmosphere and even better food.

We tried the soubise, celeriac salad, creton croquettes, mushroom dish and the whole sea bass. That sea bass was the star of the show by far! Perfectly crispy skin with tender fish and a fantastic sauce. I would go back just for the fish alone! Definitely can’t skip on this dish if you go.“

“This was some solid shawarma. I was craving falafel and was stoked to see that they deep-fry it in front of you instead of microwaving it like a lot of other places do. They aren't stingy on the sauces and a special shoutout to whatever salad dressing and sesame sauce they use because those were both delicious. Nice clean restaurant as well, you can see they really care about a tidy work space. Staff were very kind and charismatic and got my order fast. Definitely will visit again.

“AMAZING WEDDING CATERING! We are just back from our honeymoon in Nassau, and as we organize our new lives as Mr and Mrs, we can't stop talking about what the Royals Restaurant did at our wedding. That evening, the chatter was surely talking about the food. And guests are still talking about it. The meals were outstanding. The Pesto Chicken with Roasted Red Peppers & Goat Cheese, the Roasted Sirloin with Yorkshire Pudding, the hors d'oeuvres, just to recap a few.... were thoroughly enjoyed. With Chef Derrick carving the beef, he definitely finished off the buffet line in style. Plates were full, and then enjoyed by each guest. The flavours were simply succulent. But it was not just about the food. Melissa and Lindsay were at the venue far before the guests arrived. The place settings were precisely arranged ensuring that everything was lined up. The stemware and cutlery were perfect. Their management of the setup was amazing. The staff supported all the guests so professionally. A big thank you to Melanie, for operating the bar with class. To all the staff in the background, our sincere thank you as well. From the first minute that the catering trailer showed up, to the last minute when Melissa & Lindsay left at 1:00am... we were thrilled that the Royals Restaurant were a part of our wedding day. The lamb is exceptional! And the food to price ratio is fantastic, especially today when you often pay so much to receive so little. For about $22 I got rice with delicious lamb (very filling on its own mind you), a small salad, a soup, 2 sauces (1 spicy 1 plain), AND a can of Nestea. And the service is very friendly and respectable. 10/10 cannot wait to visit again!“

“Since moving to Stittsville over three years ago I have been waiting for an occasion to dine at NeXT. The wait was well worth it. The server was extremely friendly and her recommendations were all delicious. We enjoyed the quieter atmosphere of a weekday evening. We didn't partake in a dessert course, but be will returning soon to do so.“

“Recently visited Le St Laurent for the first time. Quite possibly the best views of Ottawa from a restaurant window. Friendly staff and excellent seafood dishes. The chef is the owner, so the restaurant is all about the food experience. Fabulous meal. Highly recommend for a special dinner out. This is a great place to host people from out of town as it showcases great local food and our cityscape.“

The tuna tataki was not what I expected, but was pretty good.

Also had the aged ribeye for two, it was much too rich and salty for my taste (the foie butter wasn't necessary imo with the amount of marbling on the steak) but it was a well cooked steak.

“Was in Ottawa for 1 night, and we searched up a restaurant nearby, and we came across this one. It was near a lot of other places. The restaurant is a pretty cool place, when we arrived there was a paint night going on, or almost finished. Anyways, we ordered a burger and a kale salad, it was definitely good and recommended, I also ordered a steak frites, which was really good, the only sad thing that they didn't HP steak sauce. Other than that, everything was good. I would definitely be back when we visit Ottawa again.“

“Large windows with lovely panoramic views of the streets. Coffee came so quickly and it was a large pot. Good coffee and I badly needed it. Service with Elliot was top notch and fuss free. Had a eat well yogurt bowl which was delicious. Lots of single dining patrons which made me feel more comfortable while travelling for business. No need for reservation as it was 7am on a weekday (had one but restaurant was no busy yet)“

“My sister told me we had to try these wings and she wasn't wrong. Takes a little while to get them as they are made fresh to order but they are well worth the wait. My sister opted for mild wings with mild sauce as she told me that she had the honey garlic in the past and they were a tad spicy.

Well, I wish you all could see her face eating these "mild" wings. It was my entertainment for the evening. She ate about a half a tub of sour cream with five wings.

These wings are apparently seasoned with Haitian seasonings. They didn't come here to play. A mild is definitely NOT mild in my books. But it's not just hot either. There's a whole lot of flavour going on. I was secretly glad they had some heat and some kick to them. They make an inferno wing and I think that might just put my sister into the hospital. I will have to read the rest of the reviews for someone who survived those wings. There must be a waiver.

These were so good I am already dreaming of having them on my next visit to Ottawa. I think these were the best things I ate on my Ottawa trip.“
