Cocktails are on the expensive side but there are more reasonably priced items on tap or by the can.The real reason you come here however is to play the games, and there's a huge selection! Don't come here to play old boring ones like monopoly, try something new. The staff are knowledgeable and they all can help you.“

“I can't comment much on the pub itself as we didn't actually sit down to eat or anything but spent a couple of hours playing the pinball machines, which was fun. Some of the machines are really old, which is great nostalgia wise and amusing, but we're frustrating to play. But good selection of older and newer stuff, and a few really neat ones with 2-3 levels (like a pinball within the pinball, hard to explain) and some with a digital component.I also really enjoyed the music and atmosphere. It's good music and not too loud, you can actually have a conversation! We plan on going back.“
“Stopped at Irene’s for a couple of beers and some food….the poutine is amazing!! My son is a celiac, so he had the gluten free bun with his burger; said it’s the best gf bun he’s had in a long time. Staff are all friendly, happy….great place! Highly recommend!“

“Had the chance to try out this place due to a year end team event at work. As a big fan of goat cheese, I ordered the goatee burger and I think this is the best burger I've tried in Ottawa so far. The beef patty is tender and juicy. The chef did a great job. The bread is soft and nice too. Every bite of the burger is addicting. I give it a 4.5/5 overall.“
“We have been going to Danby's for years as we live in the area. We went there for dinner last night and received a very hearty welcome from Julia upon arrival ?! We were seated at a table of our choice; Layne was our server and he was fantastic. We started with an appetizer of pork belly burnt ends which was delicious. We then moved on to the classic Debbie burger which is never a disappointment. I could only eat half of the burger and took the other half home. Just warmed it up in the microwave and it was AMAZING... Reviews are enormously subjective. We believe that Danby's delivers excellent quality food at a reasonable price. “I visited this bar to see a friend doing a gig there. I brought some work and ordered onion rings and a drink. The server on Saturday afternoon was amazing. She alone made me want to go back.I've been trying different places to work outside of the house. I'll definitely go back to this place. The onion rings were great.“

“This is the best pub and patio in Ottawa, bar none (no pun intended). it is the quintessential neighbourhood pub. The staff is generally friendly and courteous. If I have a quibble, it is that their menu is very limited. After a few visits, not much choice left. We are promised a new menu. but so far nothing. A shame.“

How can u sample very many of the beers without a flight?! “Great service! I ordered the house’s Barley Mow burger & it was incredibly the best I ever had. All sorts of extra flavours were present even compared to my homemade gourmet burgers. What got me was how the bun was so light & fluffy, it melted in my mouth. Of course, their home-cut fries were far superior than other places that cook from frozen. I recommend it!“

“Cheap food, cheap beers, pretty good spot if you live in the area and just wanna grab a drink with some friends. It's nothing totally impressive but that's not the point, it feels more homely than anything. You're there for the drinks and company, and you can't beat the pricing. Dinner for 2 plus 2 non alcoholic drinks (I was driving us) came to $44 taxes in. We go there all the time so I gave a nice tip. The owner/manager and staff are amazing. And the new menu *(after covid limited menu) is really fantastic. We are trying something new every time. Tonight I tried chicken tacos and she had a huge bowl of poutine. Both were amazing.
