“Went there three times. First two experiences were great. But the third one, not so much. The bartender lacked the basic social interaction (no how are you, no welcome to the royal oak, no how is your day etc) and cut me off after a single hour. “There for a quiz night - which apparently proved my friend and I are Dumb, but it was fun. Had the cauliflower steak - could have used a LOT more capers but still nice and the fantastique garlic bread with cheese- it wasn’t as fantastique as I was hoping, but still good. Either way, the Pump is always an enjoyable experience.“
“I went there with three friends on a Friday night for beer, convo and food. It was all good. I had the fish tacos which I really liked, had a pale ale, don’t remember the kind. Our server was good and came by several times to see if we needed anything. The price was great too - my friend picked up the tab. ha ha.“
“We had the turkey cranberry with delicious brie cheese. However, the cranberry mayonnaise was just regular mayonnaise. It could definitely use some improvement. The service was good, but a bit slow, as if there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, which felt crowded, almost like we were all sitting in the same room together. The prices are affordable. The desserts were delicious, we recommend apple crisp and cheesecake.“

“This is our local Oak location. We really like the food and atmosphere here. I was at another RO location in the city a couple of days later, and none of it was near as good as the hunt club/uplands location.Kid-friendliness: The kids absolutely love the kids' fish and chips. They're 9 and 3, so finding a clear winner for both is a PitA.“
“I absolutely love coming here whenever I don't feel like cooking and feel like a well-prepared meal out in the neighborhood. Service is top notch, warm, friendly, helpful and thoughtful. An absolute gem in the Glebe, worth stopping by if you have the opportunity. Great value for the quality as well, which is ever increasingly rare.“
