“Great place!! Went for the first time this weekend. Wasn’t sure how it would be as the outside is fairly plan. It’s smaller inside but very welcoming. I had a lot of fun on the open mic night. The staff and patrons were super friendly. I had a blast.
Ordered mozza sticks, zucchini and fried pickles, which mixed nicely with the drinks! Will definitely go back!
The only thing that could make this place perfect is if they set up a little outdoor patio in the summer! Would be nice to sit outside with friends and have drinks!“

“Amazing staff, super friendly, and ready to help without being pushy or overbearing. The menu is varied, fairly priced and the pizza especially is *chefs kiss*. Popular enough the taps are always fresh and something new to try frequently. Love coming for a drink and meal enough it's becoming a regular haunt.“

“We LOVED IT. Stopped in yesterday… the wind was whipping, wicked, brutal… and when we couldn’t shake the chill, we wandered in. HEAT! It was warm! Welcoming! The soup which was potatoes leek was absolutely delicious. The warmed bread was exactly the right temperature, hot, buttery and right out of the oven. Our Guinness was delicious. Our waitress was perfect. I really love this place .“

“Sir John A’s is a regular haunt of ours whenever we are in Ottawa. They have BROAD selection of domestic and international draught beer options available. The food menu is extensive, whether you are looking for snack items/appetizers or main courses. We are especially fond of the Nachos. The kitchen stays open as late as 12:30am (usually, not guaranteed), and the staff is very attentive and accommodating.“

“We had a lovely drink today enjoying the sunshine. Jojo was super friendly and attentive. The buffalo chicken wrap and fries were enough for us to split between the two of us and yummy. Thanks Jojo!“
“The Nostalgica Burger was tasty. The beef patty had a nice charred texture that paired well with the roasted bell peppers. However, it could use a bit more salt and pepper in the patty. The sweet potato fries were delicious and could be enjoyed as a snack on their own. Overall, I had a great experience.“
“Stopped in for a mid-week lunch with a large group. Food was a little slow with the large group, but service was friendly and attentive.
All of the food was delicious, with great sized portions. Great beer selection.

“Good size portion for price. I went here for dinner because almost nothing is open on campus during summer. Glad I did tho because for $9.50 I got a large plate of chicken masala with basmati rice which I only ate half of, and I was served almost immediately, so it is very convenient if you're in a hurry. Some tables were taken when I was there at 5pm, but several were available. Tables were clean and staff were friendly and courteous. Will be back.“

When we arrived, the staff at the door didn't realize a table had just come available when the whole place was full and actually chased after us outside to let us know there was a spot for us! :) Above and beyond service for our first time here, we will definitely be back“

“Without a doubt, one of the funnest evenings I’ve had in years. Food and drinks were reasonably priced delicious and well versatile for any pallet. Hundreds of different styles of board games and game consoles to choose from. Enjoy laughing stories and games with up to four people. Definitely would recommend they open more locations across Canada. 🇨🇦“

“Great spot for karaoke. Lots of participants. If you're from the Ontario side, expect lots of fun french songs.
Service could be faster, but it's mostly because the bar tender is also a performer and is well loved by all the regulars. So ya. You may have to wait an extra couple minutes.

“As far as university pubs go, Ollie’s is a fantastic place to be. They have certain deals every day of the week, and the staff are always super friendly.As far as prices go, everything is more on the pricy side, especially as a university pub. They have a wide selection of beer, varying from on tap, cans, and bottles.The pub also has a specialty cocktail of the month (I’m yet to try any) but they all sound delicious. Will definitely be heading back.“

“This was my first time at this pub. There was only one person attending to all the customers, taking orders, bringing food, serving drinks, etc.. The food was good and reasonably sized. The pub itself is an older establishment that has been locked in time.“
