“They have been around a long time and specialize in pretty much only selling gelato. They do have a few drink options such as coffee, hot, chocolate, etc. But they really focus on the gelato, which is great. They are in a building that has character, which lends a nice ambience to the gelato experience.“

“Wonderful, inclusive folks! Very nice staff, who were very helpful. This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

“Yesterday, Betty and Andris were at the Turkish restaurant. A young Turkish guy came up to us, who turned out to be the manager of the restaurant. Betty praised the restaurant to death and mentioned that they were celebrating my birthday. After a while, Turkish birthday music began to play in the quiet restaurant. As I looked to the side, about 8 restaurant workers, - in beautiful black work clothes - led by the restaurant manager, slowly walked towards me, like at a wedding, and brought this baklava, with a burning candle. I almost cried. They are incredible!!! Thank you to the employees of Agha Turkish Restaurant. It was an unforgettable experience.“

Not as impressed with the tiramisu, which was an odd kind of foamy/gelatiny something. And they really need to get a handle on the amount of plastic waste - even the plastic forks were wrapped in plastic; each cake slice wrapped in plastic; plastic plastic plastic. At least find something biodegradable, there's things on the market now! I would definitely go again but I'd bring my own mug and fork.“

“This is my husband and I's favourite sushi place in the city! The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, the atmosphere is so nice, there's not a lot of seating which I personally love. We regularly eat in/take out and every time the food has been fresh, tasty and quick. You have to try their beef gyoza, I think it is the best I have ever had!! My husband is obsessed with the lobster roll!! I am not a big leave a review person, but I felt this place truly deserves all the stars!!!“

“I’m not a regular customer since I don’t live in the area but I sometimes deliver kitchen items for them. I’m not sure if he’s the owner or part of the management but the care he shows to delivery drivers is beyond words. He’s by far my biggest tipper. We rarely ever see tips like this. His generosity truly lifts our spirits and makes our day every time he places an order. Thank you so much for your kindness. It turned out to be a rainy day and they opened for the students so that the students wouldn’t be disappointed. They were friendly, kind and helpful to the students and we appreciated the fantastic service. This is the second time we have taken our students here and would highly recommend the Beach Shack.“

“Recently hosted a retirement party at The Laff and it was the perfect experience for our guest of honour, who loves this bar! Deek was awesome in the lead-up to the event - prompt, warm, friendly and helpful in her correspondence. On the day of the party, Deek, Francois, Ashley, and Angel were all excellent. They welcomed us in with smiles, happily allowed us to play our specially-curated playlist on the sound system, were attentive and accommodating to all our guests with the food and drink service, and generally made sure we were perfectly cared for throughout the afternoon. The food was delicious - lots of people commented throughout the event how impressed they were - with special shout outs to the bobo balls and charcuterie boards! Thank you Laff Fam for giving us exactly what we were looking for - a warm, fun, casual, yet super-special afternoon in honour of someone who is all these things himself!“

Great portions and the fried rice was actually amazing I was shocked, wings were great too. Only thing I wouldn’t get again was the General Tso Chicken bc it was not crispy. Amazing fried rice“
