“Tonight was my first time there. Once I got up the stairs (puff puff 😁) I joined the group I was meeting. There was cold water waiting. In no time at all, we were given food menus followed by the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I didn’t understand a couple of the food descriptions and our Server, Felix, was quick to explain without me feeling like a dope. I ordered a plate (started with a “B”) because it included three differently tasting items. And, a bottle of white wine. The whole group was pleased with the timely delivery of their meals. Mine was delicious - one hot spicy, one less spicy and one full of flavours. Plus, rice, purple cabbage (!) and beans. Everyone liked their menu choices. The portions were large. We ate, not feeling rushed at all. Felix asked if we’d like to take home what was left on our plates…”yes please” and brought take home boxes. I said “I guess the rest of the wine stays here LOL”. Well, Felix just said “no - I can take care of that for you” and he did ! I came home with second dinner - food & wine ! Kudos to Felix and Casa Mexicana for hiring him. I look forward to eating there again !“

“Great coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to settle in for a few hours—free Wi-Fi, comfy seating, excellent coffee, and hot chocolate piled high with whipped cream. The staff are friendly and unobtrusive, even if you stay all afternoon.“

“Probably the only time Hortons without a drive thru not in a mall. Growing up I legit thought this was the first time Hortons ever created it's that nostalgic. Everyone must remember that cranky older lady back in the day who would yell at people for bringing in one for one pizza after a night at term, and then getting kicked out... Always feels welcoming and community driven.“

I went at 7pm and there was hardly any queue, but I know from walking past it does get very busy at times.

And they really need to get a handle on the amount of plastic waste - even the plastic forks were wrapped in plastic; each cake slice wrapped in plastic; plastic plastic plastic. At least find something biodegradable, there's things on the market now! I would definitely go again but I'd bring my own mug and fork.“

“I prefer this location over the other location on Somerset. Both are great, but this one is just a tad better in terms of atmosphere and food.

Service is always great! Just keep in mind that it can get a little chilly during the winter because of the layout and there is limited seating so a wait time is expected during the dinner rush.“

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. I liked the calm environment, staff were all very polite and helped me find what I wanted to drink.
I ate a vegan steak wrap, it was okay but I wished it had more flavor.
Unfortunately my organic Chai tea tasted very watered down or something. Just tasted of hot water.
*I did try 1 date square and it tasted great and hasn't heavy on the sugar, which I loved.

*I would like to see more gluten free/vegan options on their menu in the future.

“We ordered Party Tray 3 from Sushi Umi for our family of four, including two high school students, and it was a very satisfying amount for all of us. Everyone was full and happy 🥰.

The tray had a great variety of rolls with fresh fish, well-balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation (just like the photos).

The sushi rice was nicely seasoned, the fish tasted fresh, and each roll felt thoughtfully made. Also, their dumplings were amazing—crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful inside. Even the teenagers loved them, which says a lot!

Sushi Umi delivered on both quality and portion size. It was a perfect choice for a family meal, and we’d definitely order again. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a generous and delicious sushi tray 🍣🥟“

“The Nostalgica Burger was tasty. The beef patty had a nice charred texture that paired well with the roasted bell peppers. However, it could use a bit more salt and pepper in the patty. The sweet potato fries were delicious and could be enjoyed as a snack on their own. Overall, I had a great experience.“
