“Nous avons pris le service à la chambre et nos repas furent délicieux. Nous étions en famille et les repas enfants étaient tout autant impressionnant. La bavette était la cuisson demandée, tendre et excellente au goût. Burger des bois était divin. La poutine était impressionnante au goût. Le service était rapide et nous avons été biens servis. “I keep coming back to Montana’s on Merivale for many reasons - the food is consistently tasty (LOVE THE ANTOJITOS), the front of house staff are always welcoming, and the service is top-notch. I specifically request to be seated in Jackie’s section whenever she is working - she is always warm and personable, very hard-working, and attentive even when the restaurant is hopping. This will always be one of my main go-to places!“

“We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. When we we presented the gift card (electronically) our server went to speak with a ⁶manager and then returned to inform us that the $100 USD would be honoured in Canadian dollars. $100 USD is worth $144.50 Canadian dollars according to google when checked today. We paid the bill and tipped the service team 22% and left after effectively having $44.50 taken from us and our family member in what felt like to us, theft by conversion. The manager in question did not come to follow up after our expressing our disappointment JOEY's is already a very expensive restaurant. Further, the gift card information indicates that Joey's has US based restaurants. I'm quite sure that Canadian dollar gift cards are not accepted at par in the US. This ruined for us, what was otherwise a positive experience, through what felt like to us, an act of corporate greed and impersonal profiteering. After this experience we will not be back and sadly, I cannot recommend JOEY's as a place for anyone else to dine at. Any company that sells a gift card directly and then fails to deliver full value is patently dishonest, in my opinion.“

“Gezellig has a lunch specialmost days - choose any two form the menu for $30. Selections included the shrimp gyosa, and PEI muessssels and fries. we added dessert - the butterfinger, which was but delicious. Andree sreved us nd was delightful.

The atmosphere was elegant, and comfortable.

“The staff at Dinette Atomique clearly take pride in the food they serve up and and its flavours. The menu reflects fusion of south asian flavours with a range of other dishes and for the most part things work well. The only improvement I can think of would be to strengthen the use of herbs such as cilantro and mint that really do give flavour twists that make this style of cooking already stand out. The spring rolls were excellent but departed from most spring rolls in that they were more like sausages with fewer vegetable ingredients. Although this made them heavier than expected they were still excellent. The Crispy Rice Cake Hash was also well put together and unique. The restaurant is full of finishing touches like the chef's own hot sauce and ketchup etc - all rounding out a unique food experience. I would definitely return to try some more items from the menu and the atmosphere is unique and melds closely with the second hand shop next door!“

“Delicious food with interesting and well-balanced spice mix. Portions are ample, but not excessive, and price-to-food ratio feels fair. The service was outstanding, in the sense that the staff were friendly in a genuine manner. I did take-out, so I can not speak to the quality of dine-in service. The ambiance is fine, the restaurant has the vibe of a place where you would expect a group of Middle-Eastern seniors to hang out and have tea all day, that sort of coziness. “We had such an amazing experience at Le St-Laurent! We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and everything from the food to the service was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and every dish we tried was so well done. The braised beef was probably the best dish I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was phenomenal. Kudos to the chef!

The service really made the evening even more special. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience throughout the night. The atmosphere was beautiful and perfect for a birthday celebration or special occasion. The sunset was also remarkable.

“Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life and I’m not kidding. The chef Arup Jana made an off-menu item for us because it was so good I’d contacted him about it (roasted carrot and brie soup, created for a charity event I attended last month). We had soup at the restaurant and also bought several more servings as takeout to bring home. We also tried about seven of their tapas plates and every single one was incredible. Please go to this restaurant.“

“I just love how quiet and cozy this place is. I was seated by the window, where I had a beautiful view of the Rideau Canal with the sunlight streaming in—it made the whole experience even more relaxing.
The selection is good without being overwhelming, which I actually enjoyed. The scrambled eggs were incredibly creamy, and the poached eggs were absolutely divine! They also have healthy options like fresh juice and fresh fruits, which is a nice touch.
I really took the time to savor every bite. You can truly taste the quality of the food in every dish—it’s fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

“This place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just dropping by for the view. The marina is well-kept, and the sunsets over the water are gorgeous. I like how the clubhouse has decent food and a casual patio. Downsides? It’s not super beginner-friendly unless you’re joining a program, and parking can be tight during events. Still, it’s a solid spot to unwind by the water or get out on a boat.“

“How did I not see this place sooner? We had a fantastic dinner, excellent bilingual service (which mattered to our group as one person doesn't speak English), and the most delicious food and wine. The beef tartar with Avonlea cloth cheddar was out of this world. I've had beef tartar at Michelin restaurants and this one was better. So delicious, I'd just go back for that alone. The wine recommendations were excellent. And the brioche dessert dish was finger licking yummy. The sommelier, Nicholas, was knowledgeable and super pleasant. Brought two choices of Cabernet Franc to our table to tatse and both were hits. Reasonable prices too for this quality of food and service. 100% recommended.“

“Me and my family just came at this beautiful restaurant and it was so lovely. We had Oliver as our server and he was outstanding and gave us great recommendations! He even gave a free cook book as I go off into my first year of university. The restaurant is super cozy with nice music and calm lighting. I would absolutely come again. If you like wine (which I’m too young to have) there is 600 different kinds of wines to choose from, my parents loved it! Best restaurant!!“

“We held our wedding at Lago last weekend and we had the best time. Gyneya and the team are fantastic — they are responsive, flexible, easy to work with, accommodating, professional and super friendly. They really took all the stress out of planning our wedding. The food was also phenomenal — not your typical wedding food, it was absolutely delicious and the portions were super generous. Our guests had a blast!“

“It's also another North American diner still thankfully in existence. Large portions, a lot of potatoes and freshly brewed coffee need nothing else.
And best part is it's 24/7.
I only gave it a 4 star not 5 because of its fried stuff. Whoever is in charge of frying is just overdoing it. Form fries to taters everything is just a step away from getting burned.
Other than that eggs, sausage, pancakes everything were great.“
