Cantina Gia Reviews
We had a great time... first time and meal was great but not exceptional. We were wondering which part of Italy it was from.. North or South! As there is a difference!! Service was exceptional and the place is eloquent! It is reasonably priced and will not hesitate to go again!
I’ve never seen such small Arancini! Pasta dishes (Spaghetti Pomodoro and Mushroom Pappardelle) were a bit too salty and the homemade pasta quite ‘rustic’; some might say thick. $ for value = disappointing. Service staff were pleasant. Decor pretty and lovely open windows facing Bank Street.
The food was amazing. We had the arancini, whipped feta and focaccia, and three pasta dishes. Service was a little slow, and the server had no personality which certainly would have made this experience 5 stars otherwise.

Cantina Gia offers a cozy atmosphere, though it can get busy quickly, making reservations recommended. The food is excellent, with dishes like tomato arancini and pasta receiving high praise. Customers have enjoyed the fantastic Italian food and the good vegetarian options available. However, some have noted that the service can be slow and not as attentive during busy times, with noise levels making conversation difficult. Despite this, many find it a great dining experience, especially when seated in quieter areas. The restaurant is not fully accessible due to stairs. The food is pricey, but the taste is amazing, with each item individually priced, as they are meant to be shared family-style. The restaurant is known for its peanut-free menu and gluten-free options. Overall, Cantina Gia remains a great spot for delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere.
