McDonald's in Ottawa

“I finished my night shift absolutely starving and stopped by, only to find that the systems were already closed as they were transitioning to the breakfast menu. I thought I was going home hungry, but then Nabil came to the rescue!

He could see that I was hungry and kindly went out of his way to help me out and get me some fries. Honestly, it might seem like a small gesture but after a long night shift, that kind of kindness means so much.

What really stood out was how genuinely nice and patient he was, even at that hour of the morning when most people are just trying to survive until the end of their shift.

A huge thank you to Nabil for turning what could have been a disappointing end to my night into a lovely little interaction. McDonald’s is lucky to have employees like him!“

“Really great customer service at the Glebe McDonald’s. The person with the purple hair was super on the ball—friendly, efficient, and had a great attitude. They also had a really nice sense of humour, which made the interaction feel genuinely pleasant rather than just like another fast-food transaction. “This is a typical McDonald’s with standard food and consistent quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the location and setup. During certain hours, there is no seating area available, and the washroom requires a code to access. I understand this may be due to issues around the nearby area, but it does make the visit a little less convenient.“

“I have nothing to say but 6/5 stars for Guilherme (the manager in the red shirt) and Rohith (the guy in black), who are ALWAYS very attentive and kind. I’ve never had such a PERFECT experience at any McDonald’s. They are very special and hard workers. They work the night shift and are always wearing a big smile. I’m not the biggest fan of McDonald’s, but they make me feel at home, and red always makes the best hamburgers and wraps. Guilherme (red) always goes above and beyond to make customers happy. Even with something as simple as asking for a cup of tap water, he pays attention to every little detail, like asking what size we want and how much ice we’d like, and he prepares it quickly. It doesn’t matter how close I am to a McDonald’s, I’ll always order from this one! They keep things clean and organized. If there’s ANYTHING, please call the guy in red. “I visited this restaurant recently in the morning , and I was so impressed by the manager. Even though it was very busy, she greeted everyone with a warm smile and made both the staff and customers feel welcome. When I visited again with my kids, she was just as friendly and engaging with them, which really stood out to me. It’s rare to see such genuine kindness and professionalism, and it truly made our experience special. The most recommended one.“

“First off, it's McDonald's. Tastes like it should, etc. The stellar part of this particular branch was the staff. The lady working the pickup window could see we were struggling with the app, being unable to get it to work due to geo location issues - and very kindly took our order in person instead and kept us updated on progress. It was deeply appreciated at 4am, when the physical store area was unavailable and ordering is done via app. She was wonderful - and the food tasted that much better! “I came in earlier today in drive thru and when I went up to the second window I was met with the kindest lady, Her name was Ghaydaa and after she me served I wanted to speek to a manger to let them know her work is great then she said that she was a manger! I even told her to give her self a raise for her work. I will definitely come again this store always has the best staff.“

“Morning crew is awesome, friendly, fast and effective.

Afternoon crew leaves much to be desired. The crew seems like they aren't trained properly and don't even pretend they want to be there, so expect long wait times. Furthermore, the person on drive-thru speaks with the tone of an actual robot which is not very welcoming.“

“I pulled in here after driving from Trenton. It's probably the best McDonald's I've been to in years. Large parking lot, lots of space inside, fast friendly service, bathroom wasn't locked, lots of condiments available, and they actually accept cash!“

“The staff for incredibly friendly. I say this because I once worked in this industry and it’s incredibly difficult to be dealing with the wide rate of customers that they deal with in a given shift. Maintained a very professional and positive interaction with me and the food was hot as expected with all of the additions included in the bag.“

“I have to change my review for this place from average to absolutely amazing.. the employees are all really really nice and great at their jobs same with all the swing managers, but there's ONE swing manager named Antonio who's absolutely amazing and goes the extra mile with EVERYTHING.. amazing attitude to making and prepping food and drinks all the way from being super friendly to how much ice you want in your pop or ice coffee... And the store manager is an absolute sweetheart as well and always remembers returning customers and gives her location a small town friendly and fast feeling rather than a here and gone give me your money food court feeling... Cleanse yourself before entering and wear a facial covering to hide your identity. Cash is not acceptable due to the dangers of the flu nor is eating in the communal area. “Service was great, food was clearly very fresh and nice and hot, nothing felt like it had been made and then reheated. Staff took my order and it was ready promptly with no errors. Would definitely go back, can’t ask for anything else really!“

“Overall this McDonald's is alright by my standards but staff need to be more observant about customers coming in with mobile orders through the app. The whole reason of using the app to place an order is to save time. Time is not saved if you see your order sitting there ready but staff don't acknowledge you. Whoever the girl is that works overnights clearly doesn't care about her job. I waited over 5 minutes at the after hours window for an iced coffee that should have been ready when I arrived“

“It's usually busy during lunch hour or dinner hour, but it's fine but overall I love McDonald's, it has the BEST BAGELS AND FRIES YUM!!. I do miss the play place but it was also dirty so I get why it's gone but love coming here, I'm here everytime I have money and I love eating here“

“Very impressed with how Avo, the manager on duty, handled an issue we had called about several days earlier. I was treated with kindness, understanding and respect and it totally shifted my stance on how I felt about this McDonald’s after our previous experience. Not only did he save four regular customers, but he solidified the relationship stronger than it initially was. This is how you deal with customers. It is win-win for everyone involved.“

“I would say its improved from last time. I went in today and the food was pretty good. Nothing was missing and nothing was missing In my order. I think it depends on who's working there but the lady at the cashier today looked young but was really nice.“

I watched an employee spray disinfectant on the serving counter and it sprayed into the cups that were facing the top. Really??? Not safe. I mentioned it to the woman serving what happened and I didn't want my daughter drinking out of it. She literally frowned at me and gave me another cup and looked at me like im a problem. No concern or apologies. McDonald's really lost their smiles long ago“
