We walked past the Starbucks and I really wanted some breakfast, so I poked my head in and asked if I could please give them my order from the door because I know dogs are not allowed. Then the supervisor on shift, or the manager of the store one-upped me. She asked if she could please just take my sweet boy (who is is also a pretty big boy) outside and wait with him while I order.I don't know if they realized but they caught me in a really tough morning having a really hard moment and this could've been the make or break point of the day.Thank you so much.“

“I came to this Starbucks with an old University friend I had not seen for years. We had been to several coffee shops close to campus and they were all full of students and nowhere to sit. This one was cozy, comfortable and had tables available. My friend ordered a pumpkin spice latte and an everything bagel with butter. I had an Earl Gray tea with chocolat chunk cookie. Staff were kind , courteous and friendly. We got our drinks right away. I only removed a star in my rating because they had no butter for the Bagel (it was only 1pm) . They had no peanut butter for the Bagel .My friend chose the cream cheese but only because his fist two choices were not available. Once the Bagel was done it sat on the counter and no one actually called his name so he got a cold Bagel. Also, the Bagel was barely toasted. They also had no gluten free options except an overly sweet rice crispie square. For a hip place like Starbucks, this is surprising. Finally, it was a cold and rainy days and the AC was full blast. Staff were still kind enough to regulate it at my friend’s request. Aside from those little hic ups, everything else was great!“

The lady who answered the call (twice) gave the guy the information, and kept him in her sight, and ensured that he got into the cab. However, I pronounced it "Laydee".I accidentally ordered a Large Lady.I must have had an outer body experience, because I have no recollection of what transpired afterwards up to the moment where this heavenly barrista asked for my name and wrote it on the cup.I was still dazed, and instinctively asked for her name in return as if I was at a rave in 2012 asking her to add me as a friend on Facebook. She smiled at me with the prettiest teeth and told me her name was Amber. I reached over the counter and grabbed an empty cup and wrote her name on it as she finished writing my name on her empty cup.For a short moment, time stood still, separated in space by the counter that divides the barristas from the feining coffee customers, yet connected to each other in the multidimensional space of creative cognition and human emotions, each of us holding an empty cup, my name written on hers and her name written on mine, it was an unexpected magical moment of great symbolic significance (no doubt because the effects of the magic mushroom chocolate bar I had eaten for breakfast had just reached peak level).I walked out of Starbucks that day with nothing but an empty cup on it written "Amber". I don't even know what drink I ordered but I left it behind without a second thought. “This Starbucks cafe is located inside the Indigo store. Four years ago, I was here when the Indigo was a Chapters.I was thrilled to see this cafe still kicking around. The Starbucks at my local Chapters did not survive during the pandemic. It's sad seeing it empty every time I go to get my Chapters fix.I like that when Indigo closes, you still have access to this cafe. It has a separate entrance. Naturally, you can also access the cafe by going through Indigo's main doors.When you walk through the Indigo doors, Starbucks is on the right. There wasn't a lineup when I got there.I ordered a grande iced peach green tea. The barista was cheerful and nice.I had my Starbucks barcode associated with my card scanned. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. I thanked her and drank my drink as I perused Indigo.I wasn't sure if I could sip and shop around. No one said that I couldn't, so there's the answer.I loved my drink. It was yummy and hit the spot on a hot summer day. It helps that this store is nicely air-conditioned for folks like me who need relief from hot, humid conditions.It was great finally dropping by this cafe. Most stores I have visited in North America are dull and uninviting almost exactly opposite to why the brand came about in the first place - a place for the community to get together. Guess the drive-by culture is killing the true Starbucks vibe - although this one doesn't even have a drive by option (at least that's what I think from memory).“
