Starbucks in Ottawa

“Pretty standard Starbucks experience; the staff seemed friendly enough(I genuinely appreciated how the staff acknowledged the cashier was new and was wanted everyone to be patient with them)

No real seats, save for outdoor chairs. Luckily, this Starbucks is in a food court of sorts, so there are a decent amount of seats there.
Also, no online orders(weird).“

“There is no need for an explanation for their food and drinks. It’s Starbucks. What you expect what you get. The stand out thing about this spot is that baristas are so nice. They are always polite and friendly. Ambience is also good. Location is great. Recommended for sure.“

“Paige was so sweet and kind this morning to my boyfriend and I. She was so friendly and I forgot to order oat milk but mentioned while ordering about lactose free milk or oat milk and while she was making my drink she paused to clarify with me if I wanted oat milk!! It seems small but it made my morning better :)“

“Visited the Saunders Farm Tulip Festival recently and had a very enjoyable experience. The tulip displays were beautiful and well maintained, with a great variety of colours throughout the farm. The atmosphere was welcoming, organized, and family friendly.

There were several food options available, including Dutch inspired items, and plenty of areas to walk around, relax, and take photos. Staff were friendly and the overall experience felt well planned and enjoyable.

“This is an excellent Starbucks. The parking lot is huge, which is a rare find and incredibly convenient. Once inside, the atmosphere is very nice with plenty of seating options whether you want to relax indoors or enjoy the outdoor space. I ordered my usual Flat White, and as always, it was perfect. Nobody makes a Flat White quite like Starbucks. Highly recommend this specific location!“

“Quick shoutout to Isabelle at the College Square Starbucks. She consistently makes every visit feel easy and welcoming. You can tell she really pays attention to the little details with each drink, and everything always comes out exactly how it should!!!

What stood out to me the most is how she interacts with people. Whether it’s a quick order or a longer conversation, she’s always patient, friendly, and genuinely present. Even just overhearing how she talks to other customers, you can tell she cares about making sure everyone leaves happy.

“Out of all the Starbucks locations near Orleans this is definitely my favorite and the one I go to the most. First of all, I love the atmosphere and the vibe of the employees. Staff is always so nice and since I come here a lot they even remember me.
Sometimes when my mom doesn’t like her drink and wants to remake it they never even think twice to remake it.

And I’ve never had a bad experience also thought some other people seem to have had one.

“I really want to thank the amazing team working so early this morning — Saturday January 3 2026! They made my day with a perfect order!

My coffee was exactly as requested: the right size, truly extra hot, with just a light touch of cinnamon (not overpowering). The croissant and pain au chocolat were fresh, warmed, and delicious, the egg white bites were perfect, and the potatoes with cheese were also very tasty.

I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t have the energy to cook, so this order arriving exactly right meant a lot. Despite the early hours, snow and holiday season, this team still delivered excellent service and great care.
You can see the effort and attention to detail in both the taste and presentation.

Thank you so much to the whole team at this Starbucks — five stars well deserved.

“Stopped by the Starbucks for a quick cappuccino and had such a lovely experience. The staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and professional. There was some construction happening outside, but it wasn’t a bother at all, no real noise, and everything inside felt calm. My barista accidentally made two cappuccinos and insisted I take the extra one for free, which absolutely made my day. Great service, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. Highly recommend this location.“

“I went through the drive through, got my favourite drink and a gift card. I was served by Rain, and she was absolutely fantastic! “’m not usually a raving Starbucks fan, but this particular location has completely changed my perspective. It’s incredibly convenient and has become my go-to spot for meeting friends or clients, or even just relaxing with a book. I now find myself visiting once or twice every one to two weeks, which is a big change for me since I used to go only a few times a year.

The space itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very welcoming. There’s plenty of seating, including comfortable lounge-style leather chairs as well as standard wooden ones, making it easy to choose a spot depending on your mood or purpose. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always helpful, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.“

“Ordered a pour over decaf. The coffee was excellent, but it wasn’t hot at all. BUT they went out of their way to try and make it right. First, they gave me a delicious snack (oat bar?) for free, and offered to remake the coffee. So A for effort, but if they just had a microwave, it would have taken care of the problem.“

“The staff at this location makes it one of the best Starbucks in the city. I've been coming here for a long time as I have lived/worked in the south end for many years. I've always found the staff extra friendly here and the present staff are definitely the best group they've had working here in a long time. One of my favourite baristas is Jason who is always welcoming, friendly, and takes the time to say hi, ask about your day, and just super down to earth and personable--and he always has a smile! If he's not already a manager, I'd be very surprised. From my restaurant industry experience, I know customer service can be challenging at times especially during busy/stressful times, and you end up with impatient or unhappy costumers. SO Kudos to Jason for his amazing service, no matter how busy this place gets.
I also really like Rana and Kristianna (hope I spelled their names correctly!!), as they are very kind and friendly, and chat with everyone. I love the atmosphere here too as they are a lot of regulars and it sometimes feels like a small community hub. All in all, one of the best Starbucks in Ottawa and absolutely amazing staff!!!“

“Today I came into Starbucks and right off the bat Linda welcomed me with the most gorgeous smile. She was so kind, warm, and professional. I honestly wasn’t sure about my drink because I was trying one of the new summer drinks, but she reassured me and helped me feel confident about my choice. “The dude at the customer service desk or at cash 1 with glasses and brown hair needs to take a few courses on customer service skills. He responds extremely rudely with an awful tone. He obviously hates his job, but don't spread it on customers. He dumbs you down.

I've unfortunately came across him multiple times with a smile, but he doesn't know how to do that either.“

“During afternnon class time (because this is a campus location) it was difficult to find anywhere to sit. I get it, people need a coffee after attending lectures. Line up sometimes. Mealplan cards may be used here at this location so it could be very busy. Otherwise fine“

They have some nice custom drinks by the cash to try out; some of them are a hit or miss for me but I love this Brown Sugar Caramel Macchiato( I typically get it iced). It's become part of my daily drink rotation.

Bonus, they also remember that my mom likes adding salted caramel cold foam to drinks, hot or cold.“

“The staff here are genuinely so nice. The only time I notice something is off is when the mall is clearly packed, and that’s obviously beyond their control. I witnessed a moment today while waiting for my drink that I wanted to touch on; two women, who were CLEARLY impatient and unkind, were being beyond rude to the people working (despite the fact that they offered a refund to compensate) and the worker stood their ground. As they should!! Customer service workers shouldn’t have to grovel and be treated like doormats because YOU are unhappy and cannot conduct yourself like an adult! It should not be the norm! A complaint is one thing, expecting people to let you walk all over them is another. Love the team!! Keep it up 🫶🏼

“I just want to give a huge shoutout to Maddy who took our order. When we got into the establishment it was packed and there were only 3 people behind the counter working. And we quickly understood that they were behind. Maddy, who is new which we got to know when ordering was soo professional about the wait time, and handled the whole crowd, order taking so calmly. “I was here at 9:30am on a Saturday, so it was understandably not super busy, but the staff kept the line moving QUICKLY. There was one employee here, a taller guy with blonde hair, whose name I wish I caught - he was so nice to everyone, super personable, super quick, 10/10. Also, post-renovations, this is a lovely place to sit for a bit waiting for your flight. There's long booth-style benches as well as small cafe tables, lots of power plugs, everything you could hope for from a Starbucks in general and especially at an airport. I could see the lines getting a little long, since it is an airport with business rush hours, but when I was here it was calm and efficient.“

“I think all the baristas remember me lol, which I think is a boon. They are all pretty nice. One lady-- I think her name is Renee? -- always asks me if I need water, or need my water bottle refilled.

Another lady... I am so sorry I can't remember the name, but she has glasses, is blondish? Has a fuller figure and is tall?
She's really fun to talk to, amidst the workload

ALSO! They are very patient and generous - sometimes my mom will not fully understand what she ordered, or some miscommunication happened in between the ordering process, or even a bad accident happened and I or my mom spill a drink almost immediately after receiving it, and the baristas are so willing and generous to make a new drink, and let us keep the old drink.
Needless to say, the staff here is great and I'm so happy about their service.

Can be cramped and slow(the baristas are going hard, working on multiple drinks from in-store orders and mobile orders).
Being one of the busiest Starbucks, this is to be expected. Just plan around your time constraints, or head elsewhere. Not worth the 10+ minutes if you need to run somewhere. At the very least, there shouldn't be much inaccuracies on what you order.

Starbucks food + drink is as expected. Food is pretty plain. Coffee tastes pretty nice, and the extra add-ons- whether cold foam, rock sugar toppings - are very nice. I find they are adequately portioned.“

“We wanted to give a huge shout-out to Chiggy! He is an absolute asset to the Starbucks team. Every time we walk in, he makes us feel so welcome with a genuine smile on his face. Chiggy is consistently kind, professional, and radiates positivity. He goes above and beyond to get to know his regular customers, and he always makes sure our fur baby, Bear, feels just as welcome as we do. It’s always the highlight of our day seeing him!
