“I really want to thank the amazing team working so early this morning — Saturday January 3 2026! They made my day with a perfect order!
My coffee was exactly as requested: the right size, truly extra hot, with just a light touch of cinnamon (not overpowering). The croissant and pain au chocolat were fresh, warmed, and delicious, the egg white bites were perfect, and the potatoes with cheese were also very tasty.
I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t have the energy to cook, so this order arriving exactly right meant a lot. Despite the early hours, snow and holiday season, this team still delivered excellent service and great care.
You can see the effort and attention to detail in both the taste and presentation.
Thank you so much to the whole team at this Starbucks — five stars well deserved.

“’m not usually a raving Starbucks fan, but this particular location has completely changed my perspective. It’s incredibly convenient and has become my go-to spot for meeting friends or clients, or even just relaxing with a book. I now find myself visiting once or twice every one to two weeks, which is a big change for me since I used to go only a few times a year.
The space itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very welcoming. There’s plenty of seating, including comfortable lounge-style leather chairs as well as standard wooden ones, making it easy to choose a spot depending on your mood or purpose. “One of the rare sit down locations. Not a Starbucks fan but I miss the era where I could sit somewhere and relax. The breakfast burrito was bland and lacked seasoning. It wasn't bad, i just really wish it had salt pepper or sauce of any kind. Now I understand why the employee offered me condiments!
If it was more affordable I would go often. The door is close to the seating area so it gets cold in the winter anytime someone comes in or leave.“

“The staff at this location makes it one of the best Starbucks in the city. I've been coming here for a long time as I have lived/worked in the south end for many years. I've always found the staff extra friendly here and the present staff are definitely the best group they've had working here in a long time. One of my favourite baristas is Jason who is always welcoming, friendly, and takes the time to say hi, ask about your day, and just super down to earth and personable--and he always has a smile! If he's not already a manager, I'd be very surprised. From my restaurant industry experience, I know customer service can be challenging at times especially during busy/stressful times, and you end up with impatient or unhappy costumers. SO Kudos to Jason for his amazing service, no matter how busy this place gets.
I also really like Rana and Kristianna (hope I spelled their names correctly!!), as they are very kind and friendly, and chat with everyone. I love the atmosphere here too as they are a lot of regulars and it sometimes feels like a small community hub. All in all, one of the best Starbucks in Ottawa and absolutely amazing staff!!!“

The only downside is the hours of operation. It would be wonderful if they stayed open later or opened earlier, especially for conference-goers who have early morning or late evening commitments. “The dude at the customer service desk or at cash 1 with glasses and brown hair needs to take a few courses on customer service skills. He responds extremely rudely with an awful tone. He obviously hates his job, but don't spread it on customers. He dumbs you down.

I used to like this location but over the last year or more they can’t seem to make a proper cup of coffee. It’s certainly hot enough but it lacks the true coffee flavour that Starbucks in known for.
Just yesterday I gave it another shot and the girl was so freaked out like she treats every customer like they are the grim reaper!
Their trash bins are always over flowing which makes her a hypocrite!!
Plus my coffee sucked!!!

“The staff here are genuinely so nice. The only time I notice something is off is when the mall is clearly packed, and that’s obviously beyond their control. I witnessed a moment today while waiting for my drink that I wanted to touch on; two women, who were CLEARLY impatient and unkind, were being beyond rude to the people working (despite the fact that they offered a refund to compensate) and the worker stood their ground. As they should!! Customer service workers shouldn’t have to grovel and be treated like doormats because YOU are unhappy and cannot conduct yourself like an adult! It should not be the norm! A complaint is one thing, expecting people to let you walk all over them is another. Love the team!! Keep it up 🫶🏼

“I wanted to recognize the Barista Olivia who is doing an exceptional job connecting with customers. She has recently gone above the usual job requirments in helping me. I am on ODSP and currently have food insecurity. It meant a lot when she offered me mismade egg bites. This simple and thoughful act helps tremendously. It made me feel welcomed in a thirdplace as well.

“For drinks this place is great. Had a couple London fogs that were bad in the past but overall very good. Ordering a bagel with cream cheese is terrible. They provide the bagel and cream cheese but you need to apply yourself which is hard when your driving!“

A few weeks ago, I accidentally spilled my mocha on the floor. When I asked for some paper towels to clean it, the staff immediately came over, insisted on cleaning it themselves, and even surprised me with a free frappuccino — which was absolutely delicious! Today, I made another small mistake by ordering the wrong drink through the app, and again, they were incredibly understanding and gave me an extra frappuccino for free. “I was here at 9:30am on a Saturday, so it was understandably not super busy, but the staff kept the line moving QUICKLY. There was one employee here, a taller guy with blonde hair, whose name I wish I caught - he was so nice to everyone, super personable, super quick, 10/10. Also, post-renovations, this is a lovely place to sit for a bit waiting for your flight. There's long booth-style benches as well as small cafe tables, lots of power plugs, everything you could hope for from a Starbucks in general and especially at an airport. “This Starbucks location in the Rideau Centre is consistently impressive. It’s definitely a very busy spot, but you’d barely notice because of how efficiently and professionally the team works. The staff here are some of the hardest working I’ve seen, constantly pumping out drinks while keeping things organized and moving quickly.
Every time I’ve visited, my drinks have been made perfectly—great quality and consistency, even during the busiest rushes. The grab-and-go fridge is always well stocked, which is no small feat considering the foot traffic in this mall.
Pro tip: order ahead on the app if you can! The line inside can be long, but mobile orders are usually ready much faster and it’s the best way to skip the wait.
Is the space spotless? Not really—but that’s to be expected for a Starbucks located in such a high-traffic shopping centre. That said, the team does a great job keeping it as tidy as possible given how busy it gets.
