“A staple of the community. Great food, lots of variety in flavors, large portion and a reasonable price. They deserve a 5/5 from me since I've been going there for years. I would like to say though that the only time I have any problem at all is because the person preparing the plate does not make sure what I want to add or remove from the plate. I would appreciate a bit more attention so I don't need to ask for something at the last second out of order. Like the amazing spicy garlic sauce :)“

An overly large fistful of lettuce hogs the space, and the remaining veggies are too concentrated in the center of the wrap. The distribution is off, man, and so the per-bite-delight takes a hit. Shawarma lovers recognize when the sandwich components are properly distributed.

Still, it was good. But doesn’t rank high for me within the ultra-competitive Ottawa Shawamra scene.“

“Very good place to try authentic Middle Eastern–Syrian-style cuisine! They have freshly baked manaeesh, flatbreads, and delicious sandwiches. I also tried the new “Egg & Cheese” with veggies and the spinach & cheese one — sooo good! 🤤 Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made just right.

They also sell a variety of exotic bottled fruit juices, such as mango 🥭 and I think Guava as well. 🤔

“A very small shop with lots of good stuff from dried fruits, kitchen supplies, spices and an amazing bakery with a good selection menu. I got meat pies and veggies. Veggies wasn’t as good and very spicy because of too many papers on it. I love how clean it was and how friendly the staff was. Will definitely go back.“

“The Fattoush is amazing but unfortunately since our return to work the portions for the fattoush salad are much smaller and for the price of almost $15 it’s difficult to justify. Prior to the pandemic the fattoush portion used to be worth while. I know prices are climbing in everything but dissapointed in the portion size.“

Wallah An-Nur Bakery has the BEST pies ever 😭🔥 The cheese pies the meat pies all of them are too good! Every time I go there they never disappoint. And shoutout to Ali because wallah that guy is the real deal ❤ You ask him for extra lemon and he makes sure you get it. Whatever you ask for he does his best to make sure the customer is happy. You can tell he genuinely cares about people and wants everyone to leave satisfied. Wallah I’m not even lying or exaggerating this is the truth 😂 The food is amazing and the customer service is top tier. Ali deserves his flowers for real. “This is a gem of a small Shawarma place tucked away in a little residential plaza in Urbandale with other great food options.

We had the Chicken Platter to go
(Big Portion, enough for 2)

The chicken was cut right off the spit and delicious, tender and cooked right.
Salad was FRESH CUT (firm as it should be) and with LOTS of peppers in all colours 👍
We asked for rice only for carbs.
The pink turnips were delicious and not bitter and the hummus was fresh and tasty 😋
This is our 3rd time here and we’ll be back for more.
My tummy is still happy 😊 hours later which says a lot for a good take-out place.“
