The food was amazing!! I just happened to walk into this gem. I saw the sweet deal of a shawarma and a pop for 10 dollars. But then I saw the potatoes.. getting extra garlic for the potatoes, yes! Spicy garlic, why not! Oh my goodness, I write this in the morning, and I kid you not. I am hungry for this, and my mouth is watering!! It is that good!! Will be back very soon! Thanks for the amazing food and service:)
Excellent food, generous portions and the best garlic sauce in town. The cook is also very friendly!Edit: My initial review was from 6 years ago and I figured it was time for an update. I have been a regular customer at Alissar's since 2017. They are my favorite Shawarma restaurant in town and I'm sure other regulars would agree the staff is very hospitable and prices are fair. This was my first visit here and was not disappointed. The service from the moment I walked in was friendly and helpful. Ordered a chicken shawarma and garlic potatoes. Both were tasty and excellent value for the money. Hadn't had shawarma in a while, so this was an excellent treat after a long day of work.
