Shawarma Palace Reviews
I’m a tourist from the GTA looking for the best shawarma in Canada’s “Shawarma Capital”. The food here was highly recommended despite it being a chain. I was excited but underwhelmed.
Quality of the food is really good! Everything tasted fresh, you get a big portion, and the interior of the restaurant was so clean I would’ve happily eaten there.
Service was nice- small mix up with the order but it was fixed and wasn’t a big deal.

Shawarma Palace is a highly-recommended restaurant that serves exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine. Their shawarma, including the chicken sandwich, is a must-try, with many considering it one of the best. The mixed shawarma sandwich, featuring a generous portion of meat, pita, rice, potatoes, salad, and pickled vegetables, is a popular choice. The restaurant's portion sizes are generous, making it great value for money. The atmosphere is friendly, and the quality of food has remained consistent over the years. Customers can enjoy vegetarian options and halal food. The restaurant is also kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible.
While some customers found the shawarma to be basic and the prices a bit high for the quality, the majority praise the consistently tasty and well-seasoned meat and potatoes. However, recent reviews mention issues with service, noting that some staff may be inattentive. Despite this, one customer highlighted their return after many years, enjoying the same great taste and service. The restaurant remains one of the most consistent shawarma branches in the area, offering a delicious experience, though improvements in service and cleanliness have been suggested.
