“The food and coffee here is just excellent — really elevated toasts, bowls and brunches. Nice treats too. It is also a great spot to stop while on a wander or bike ride or ski through Gatineau Park. For that reason, Palmier gets super duper busy on weekends and other popular outdoor-activity days. But I always find it worth it to try and squeeze in, because the food and beverage (and scenic patio spots in nice weather) are just so worth it.”

“Finally headed into Roberto Pizza Romana in Chelsea. Bought a loaf of bread and tried four different slices of pizza and some desserts. Had lunch with my uncle Fred! I have to say that the tastes are explosive and delicious. Each unique slice was delectable and had a truly fabulous separation of flavours which consequently combined to create a superior tasting experience. When I got home I sliced the loaf as I usually freeze bread and don’t eat it often. It is absolutely the first loaf I have ever cut up where the knife literally sliced through with an ease that almost made me uneasy(not really)! But I just could not believe how smooth the texture was. Basically akin to a hot knife through a cold slab of butter. Cannot wait to give a piece of that a toast. Everything in there from savoury to sweet is top shelf and worthy of a visit from afar or next door! Definitely a splurge so don’t get shocked when you see the numbers!! 10/10‼️‼️ In the photo, two of the selections. They had six different ones available at that moment and it looks like they have many others locked and loaded in the chamber ready to target even the most elusive of tastebuds! Staff was top notch and knowledgeable of their wares!! Open Thursday through Sunday.”

“Vero's food is always delicious, creative, and looks amazing! I found myself dissapointed by other meal prep services in Ottawa, why does everyone struggle so much to cook tofu?? it is often bland and boring. However, Vero's tofu is superb and the other protein options are just as good! We look forward to the different options each week for meal delivery but also love that there are a few faves that come back. Their customer service has been amazing whenever we have reached out with any issues. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!”

“Was there for lunch today with 3 people. Ordered simple poutine and beer. Food and beer was great. My colleagues meals looked great as well. Service was fast and efficient from being served the beer and food very quickly to getting the cheque as soon as we were done. This seems likely an excellently managed restaurant. Great selection of beers too!”

“You will get a fairly classic québécois casse-croute expérience here. Some may find that standoffish. Cash only, but you can go to the cashier on the convenience store side to use their machine and get what you need to pay. I enjoyed my "poutine-moyenne" although I have had more generous portions elsewhere for the price. It was still good enough that it won't be our last visit.”
