“What a quaint spot! Oat latte's were fantatsic and the coffee date energy ball and peanut butter chocolate ball were bith fantastic. An amazing treat after a hike in Gatineau Park....and the sun was shining too!Dietary restrictions: A few GF options“
“The food and coffee here is just excellent — really elevated toasts, bowls and brunches. Nice treats too. It is also a great spot to stop while on a wander or bike ride or ski through Gatineau Park. For that reason, Palmier gets super duper busy on weekends and other popular outdoor-activity days. But I always find it worth it to try and squeeze in, because the food and beverage (and scenic patio spots in nice weather) are just so worth it.“
“My girlfriend and I came here for a quick bite after walking around Gatineau park and the food was delicious! I got a gypsie salad with salmon and she got the shrimp curry, both were divine. The interior atmosphere is light and cheerful and very cute!!“
“There is a lot going on in the culinary universe here, including one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had from a wood fired oven. They also have homemade desserts and amazing coffee. The ambiance is very kewl! Chelsea is a food capital of the cosmos! Loving it! Happiee taste bud dancing!“
“You will get a fairly classic québécois casse-croute expérience here. Some may find that standoffish. Cash only, but you can go to the cashier on the convenience store side to use their machine and get what you need to pay. I enjoyed my "poutine-moyenne" although I have had more generous portions elsewhere for the price. It was still good enough that it won't be our last visit.“
“Dining here was an absolute pleasure, with an ambiance that sets the perfect stage for a memorable meal and a menu that caters to a wide range of tastes. There was a slight mishap with our order, but the way the staff handled the situation showcased their commitment to guest satisfaction. Each dish we tasted was a testament to the chef's skill, blending taste and presentation seamlessly. Despite the brief confusion, we left with full bellies and happy hearts, planning our return.“
“In a word, this place is spectacular!!! The chai is perfectly prepared, and the sandwiches are some of the tastiest I have ever had, anywhere. *Anywhere*. Not only that, the portions are substantial, the prices reasonable, and the staff is lovely. Great food, great prices, great service. The trifecta, and that is increasingly hard to find in Ottawa. Run, don't walk, and enjoy a great meal here. My new favourite place to eat in Ottawa.“
“All in all a wonderful experience ! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sharing their love for waffles and Korean inspired menu items like the Croffle. (I have yet to try it, but I heard it was delicious).Their butterfly iced tea is delicious and should be on your to-try list :DA good place for a respite, or to catch up with a friend with a good drink ^_^Vegetarian options: Plant-based milk option available, such as almond, oat & soy.“
“I drove by this adorable spot on my way to get take out this Friday. I decided to come back today to give their coffee a shot! I’m forever looking for a great coffee in Gatineau. I walked in but they were actually closed on Sunday; they were just having a meeting. I left but the owner came out and said he’d be happy to make me a coffee either way as the machine was on!! Which I thought was very kind considering they were closed today!!The service was friendly and the Latte was in fact delicious! I will definitely be back again.Thank you for the fabulous customer service and amazing coffee!! This spot is definitely worth a visit if you haven’t tried it yet :)“
“Absolutely incredible! A real diamond in the rough. This place is welcoming, friendly, comfortable, everyone seems like they’re family when they come in. They’re even dog friendly! I really can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It is going to quickly become my go to place in the area. Cozy up I. Front of the fireplace with your laptop or a good book, didn’t bring one? They’re got you covered!“
“The place is beautiful, the service is excellent and the coffee is delicious, I plan to make it my regular coffee shop, I recommend it 100%The place is beautiful, the service is excellent and the coffee is delicious, I plan to make it my regular coffee shop, I recommend it 100%“
“amazing vibes, the service was incredible - we didn’t make a reservation but there was a comfy spot at the bar. I had the best iced latte i’ve ever tasted (i’ve been thinking about it for days!) and the homemade chex mex is a hidden gem that everyone needs to try ? will be back again!“
“Really cute bookstore cafe. The ambiance is so nice and I love to come here to study. It can take between half an hour to an hour to get a seat since there aren’t many seats and there’s lots of people. I recommend going very early between 9-10 if you want to be certain to get seats. Good prices for books.“
“Nice crust on the scones, but they're moist inside which is perfect. The pumpkin and lemon poppyseed flavours were delicious! Would love to try them with clotted cream and jam. The flavour options for sweet and savory are great and they're constantly being baked throughout the day in store!“
“AMAZING SERVICE, amazing food. I order almost on a weekly basis and I think they may be aware of who I am because of my frequency and same orders… but they constantly upgrade my orders or throw in little extras, they are Amazing I genuinely appreciate their generosity, they leave cute messages saying “oops we gave you an extra bag of chips, sorry our fault” very nice. Not a lot of business like this anymore. Really does make your day! Thank you guys, you have a supporter for ever.“
“Went for my wifes birthday with 2 other couples we've known for 20 years. The food was amazing. Very good! The drinks went down easy and very tasty! One of the staff recomended a game to us and we played it for hours. We all had a blast and created new lifelong memories! I would really recomend this place to anyone! Thank you to the staff of Level One!“
“Soo yummy! We tried everything on the menu (almost) and were impressed by everything! The brussle sprouts were a fan fave and both of our pasta entrees were lovely!! We also enjoyed the strawberry tiramisu and wow, sooo good!! Highly recommend, also cute tables!“
“I was personally in a very bad place emotionally when I visited Morning Owl - but as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt like I was a good friend or family coming to visit.Coffee was great, donuts were stupendous. Service and atmosphere were so good that I went back again for lunch!Thank you so much for making my day better and helping me smile.“
“Found this awesome little café in a chill neighborhood. Perfect spot to grab a warm coffee before heading out to the Mud Lake trail for a quick winter hike. It's super easy to stroll over to the trail entrance. The bartender, a cool young lady, hooked us up with some delicious coffee. Oh, and definitely treat yourself to their killer scones – the jam-topped one rocked our taste buds. Seems like scones are their specialty, and they've got other tasty varieties too!“
“Very nice experience during a getaway to come and take a coffee break with oat milk and look at the cycling offer. Vintage bikes at good prices and refurbished! Warm and sporty atmosphere, great for cycling enthusiasts :-) we came across it by chance and we are very happy, courteous and smiling staff!“
“We had a family event catered by Cafe Deluxe 2 yrs ago & everyone was pleased & impressed of the food presentation & really freshly delicious!Thank you to the catering manager, Brendan, for such well-organized & great service...highly recommended???“
“Churro were super tasty and I hope to try more of the deserts soon.I will say that the teas were super pricey for what they were: Very weak in flavour, yet costs almost as much as a Starbucks drink. Just hot water, a tea bag and the option for milk.“
“I had an amazing first experience at Cosenza! Hosting my 25th birthday dinner there was positively a delight. Rob and his staff, especially Kevin and Mikayla, were incredibly accommodating. Special thanks to Kevin for assisting with decorations and Mikayla for being a fantastic server. Major kudos to Rob’s wife for the delicious home-cooked meal that left my guests impressed (with both the food and the venue). I highly recommend choosing Cosenza for your next event!“
“Jozsef, Justin and Sandy at Cloudforest Cafe are simply outstanding! Their coffee artistry is unmatched, and every sip is a delight. The food prepared is equally impressive – bursting with flavor. Together, they create a culinary experience that's hard to beat. If you're looking for impeccable coffee, delicious food, and friendly service, Cloudforest Cafe is the place to go!“
“What a gem! When in Wakefield, you MUST go to Le Hibou & visit Lou & Olivia! As soon as we stepped in we knew we were in for a treat. The decor and vibe was so welcoming and comfortable. Lou found us a perfect seat & knowing it was our anniversary made our experience even more special! I will say he makes a mean old fashioned! It was delicious. We ordered the bao bun, the butter chicken poutine, the beet/kimchi "home fries" and the Le Hibou sirloin burger with salad on the side. Everything was CRAZY DELICIOUS! We shared all the plates so we could taste a bit of everything. I wish we had ordered more but our tummies couldn't handle it. For dessert we shared a sundae which felt so retro and nostalgic. It was so fun! What are you waiting for ? Go already!“
“Delightful non-chain local Byward market neighbourhood haunt with satisfying but limited breakfast choices not readily found in your run of the mill establishments for the vegetarian and meat eater alike. Prices are definitely not discount for their offerings, but choices not common either. It is a chill space with a laid back vibe for the morning rush that hosts a loyal following.“
“Oat Couture Coffee Shop is where it's oat!I come here often and If you're in the mood for a cozy hangout spot that doubles as a productivity (or a procrastination) spot, Oat Couture is your place. The vibes are so lovely and cozy, The prices are reasonable, so you won't have to break the bank for your caffeine fix or that perfect cup of tea. It’s got good music and a calm atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and nice. Plus, they understand the pain of waiting a tad too long, we waited a bit longer than is ideal this one day because there was only one guy working and it was packed and he gave us a free drink.“
“Love the chill vibes, the flourless cookies, the dog friendly space here. We love visiting with our dogs, they know exactly where the treat jar is at by now! I think the owner had a dog as well because there’s a picture of “Mickey” and the staff seem to always like seeing our dogs. It makes me so happy to support this local cafe. We come every weekend and pick up pastries and lattes for our walk to the nearby dog park.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian sandwich optionsDietary restrictions: Vegan cookies and gluten free as well“
“Chef Ric's was the perfect caterer for our plated dinner reception on our wedding day. After being recommended by friends of ours who had their bridal shower catered by them, we pursued a quote for our wedding reception. From the beginning of the process, they were very professional and communicated well with us right up until wedding day. The food was delicious and the chefs and serving staff were friendly and remained flexible through any changes on the day of. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly company to handle food for your next special event.“
“First time here after admiring it from a far. Just as beautiful inside as it is outside. Lovely atmosphere cozy and warm but not loud - excellent for working remotely.Snacks are delicious, the croissants were buttery and soft and the scones are on point. Latte was 10/10, no sugar needed is perfect. ??“
“Love this place. The vibe is amazing, it’s a beautiful modern design, perfectly nestled in the heart of the Glebe. They roast their own beans. I just purchased and tried one of their light roasts. Knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait to be back. Thanks LVC!“
“Countless good things to say about this place. Countless good times. Beautiful location. Best staff ever.Kid-friendliness: They have a family area that seats about 8-10ppl.. no kids after 8pm- it's a bar, w food.Parking: Get there early, stay late.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door.“
“Really cool spot with a LOT of potential. The staff are always welcoming and the atmosphere is great. The events they have with local artists are also really intriguing for someone such as myself who was forcibly relocated from the west end of Toronto. My only gripe and reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is the price. $4.00+ for a drip is absolutely bonkers and I frankly don't think I've seen it anywhere else (note again, I moved from downtown Toronto). Most "nicer" cafes I've been to, usually offer drip coffee for $2.50 - $3.25...*maybe* $3.50 at most. I would say $3.00-$4.25 for an Americano, or other espresso based drink seems standard. To make things worse, I'd say the drip I got was only ok, definitely not worth $4.00 pre tax. In my view, I think you need at least to give the customer the option of getting something reasonably priced. For example, in Toronto one of my favourite cafes offered drip for $2.50. You best believe I went there frequently because I didn't mind spending that much for a quick coffee semi-regularly. Every so often I'd get a pastry with it or splurge on an espresso based drink. This is a win-win for customer and business. The same goes for the beans. My partner came back with a bag of 225g beans (apologies if the amount if incorrect) and she said it cost $23 with a discount. Assuming the discount was 15% that means the normal price is $27 for 225g. Again, do some basic googling and walking into roasteries in Toronto or Ottawa and you will easily find some of the highest quality coffee for more reasonable prices.“
“Yummy, beautiful, cozy, friendly, eclectic. Mulligan cafe has heart & soul. Locally owned and you can feel the great care and passion the owners have for their customers. I have many dietary issues and they were understanding and all too happy to share ingredients so I could enjoy refreshments without worry. They seem truly grateful for everyone who enjoys their products. You’ll also find a variety of other locally crafted products that make lovely gifts. They have books and games as well to add a little more fun to your leisurely visit and create forever memories.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free and dairy free options.“
“This place is a favorite stop in for a quaint space to chat, grab a bite and share a beverage. I've been going here on and off for quite some time and it's one of my go-tos. The food menu has a bit of everything, the wine list, well equipped and the ambiance is great. It can get quite loud however due to its compact size and density of seating. I know where to sit to avoid too much commotion and chaos at this point but if you sit in the back against the wall, you may notice the decibel levels rising too high. Overall a sweet spot!Vegetarian options: Halloumi cheese, gnocchi without pancetta, fries.“
“Cute little coffee shop / university bookstore. Coffee is delicious, ambiance is chill (before the students are back at school - may be a different story next week), great music, and super clean. If I lived in the neighbourhood, this would definitely be my go-to spot.“
“I loved my experience. Superb welcome and charming young lady who took her time seeing my so-so English. Delicious gluten-free and vegetarian coffee and pastries. I recommend ?❤️Vegetarian options: It offers a great gluten-free and vegetarian option.“
“I went to Arlington Five towards the end of the pandemic and was impressed by the homey and socially engaged atmosphere of the cafe. It’s a great place to get some work done, as long as it’s not full (which can happen quickly given that it’s rather small). (That’s not something you often read in reviews, but I was stunned by their bathroom, that looks like one found in a luxurious hotel!)“
“Always love the scones but had today from the lunch menu a triangle sandwich shaped scone with tuna accompanied by a healthy portion of salad. Yummy, wholesome and healthy for a fair price of $8 with $3 for soup. Good thing they are close to my office for more ?“
“little gem coffee shop for breakfast bowls ! and most of them were vegans, and there’s vegetal options for coffee toowe are on the terrasse, really calm, no traffic aroundi recommend it for a fresh brunch, we left the cafe full of energy !“
“I love this little cafe. Their cortado and the coffee in general are the best in the region - I've had coffees in Switzerland and I must admit that we have nothing to envy them. The owner is absolutely kind and welcoming. I pray he finds somewhere a little bigger but in the city center please. Thank you Café Délice!“
“I visited here for the first time, and tried the tiramisu latte, little on the sweet side but such a treat! They offer a wide range of ready to serve sandwiches and wraps, baked goods, beverages, and specialty teas, will definitely be back to try more!“
“Une très belle découverte. Mention spéciale au propriétaire Joey et ses employés dont Lan ... notre service a été impeccable, ce qui n'est pas à négliger par les temps qui courent. Nous nous sommes régalés. Je le recommande à tous ..“
“Cute small local shabby chic décore and ambiance. Nothing fancy but rustic shabby flare.I do like their cups as they are of descent weight and the barrister prepares the drink with added cream/ milk/ sugar according to your need. Although they don’t have a self serve counter, it is environmentally friendly.“
“Babylonia Cafe in Ottawa is an oasis of relaxation, offering an exquisite range of hookah, tea, and coffee. The welcoming ambiance paired with top-notch service makes for a truly unparalleled experience. A must-visit for anyone seeking a serene retreat!“
“To brighten up and otherwise gloomy and dreary day, this cozy and chic oatmeal cafe was definitely on point. We had the fiore, lunchbox, and Belmont breakfast sandwich. The oatmeal’s were delicious, the breakfast sandwich was perfect. The butter pecan latte was also a hit. Service was quick and very friendly. We’ll be back for sure!“
“Had a great time at Wise Town Cafe! The staff so welcoming and friendly .The desserts and drinks were top-notch, especially the chocolate lava cake and latte. Cozy ambiance and friendly staff made it even better. Highly recommend! And A must visit!“
“We came around 5 and they just had 2 flavours of croissant left. The pistachio tasted more like mix nut for me but thé chocolate was really good, not too sweet. I love how the cover was so crunchy and the cream inside was thick and creamy and full! The place a bit small but shop’ decoration is sweet and cute. Good experience and they have self order machine too if you dont wanna talk.“
“I've always passed this place and never noticed it. Today I walked in and found an amazing spot! Immediately you see these amazing looking sandwiches, and are greeted by the friendly staff. The coffee, the food, and the service was amazing. I had the breakfast sandwich, and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is tiny but it is perfectly filled with chocolate and is appropriately priced. The breakfast sandwich was lacking a bit, however the lunch sandwiches looked really good, and I will definitely have to come back to try some. It's not too busy, which occasional office workers popping in to grab a sandwich and coffee with a few sitting to have a quick chat, which makes it a perfect spot to get some work done.Vegetarian options: They had some vegan baked goods and vegetarian sandwich options. They also had some milk alternatives for coffee.Dietary restrictions: They had some gluten-free choices and vegan options.“
“Nous avons découvert ce café la semaine dernière au retour d’un sortie en ski de fond. Nous y retournerons définitivement - meilleur smoothie j’avais goûter. Hâte de découvrir les autres plats de ce plaisant petit café! Mérite le détour!!!“
