“So this was my first introduction to Happy Goat back in 2024. The barista working there was a really great conversationalist and I befriended her then I believe.

I haven't seen here there when I moved in a month ago but the baristas that are there now are just as good, and the coffee is still as good.

It's in the station so the vibe is just ok (I don't think that can be fixed due to location). The coffee shop is geared for take outs and that coffee you need when you need to get to work.“

“Stopped at Corner Peach for lunch on a Saturday. We made a reservation for 2. I'd recommend reservations as it got quite busy after we were seated. The decor is charming & I love the vibe. Our hostess/server was friendly & great at her job. Turn around time from ordering to being served was very quick!! We both ordered the veggie burger, 1 with fries & 1 salad. Everything was delicious! I also recommend stopping in the shop next door. They sell wine, baked goods, different beers & merch. I highly recommend Corner Peach on all levels!“

“The service was peak. They were so nice bro. I bought the business sandwich and I would like to call it peak sandwich. It’s basically like a chicken sandwich with mushroom and a spicy mayo on the side (the best I have ever had). The atmosphere or like the place is so warm and cozy. Mechanics were fun to chat with. They buy vintage frames and fix them up, then offer them for a fair price and 1 year warranty.

The Maple aerocano was delicious. Velvety but with no milk which is neat. Good puck prep and decaf blend was excellent. Staff were friendly. Got a date square as well which was good. Nice patio“

“Wonderful, inclusive folks! Very nice staff, who were very helpful. This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

“I had the chance to visit Cosenza Bar and Cafe last night, and from the moment you walk in, it’s an absolutely pleasant experience. Books both old and relatively new with most if them in an electronic system so that the staff can help you find specific items or authors, rare in a lot of used book stores of this scale. The gentleman at the counter, Joe, was able to help me find multiple items and was knowledgeable on their subject matter. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Ottawa“

“This is the greatest little coffee shop. I made a mistake this morning in thinking that they opened at 8:30 when it is written 9:30, so I walked over from the Saint Paul's Library (been here since 6am) to get a really tasty americano. When I got there the door was locked, however, a very nice gentleman opened the door and I mentioned that Facebook said it was open at 8:30 (which was the mistake). No problem, a little frustrated I walk away but he calls me back in and makes me a very nice coffee to take back. Service like this is hard to find nowadays, so I am very grateful for the coffee and the kindness. Thank you!!“

“Layali Baghdad is hands down one of the best shisha lounges in Ottawa. The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic — great music, comfortable seating, and a vibe that makes you want to stay all night.
