This is my favourite café in Ottawa. I’ve always loved their desserts, but I wanted to comment that I 🩷 absolutely loved 🩷 your Sailor Moon and Sakura Card Captors themed macarons 🥰😍🤩💙💛🩷! They were so cute I almost didn’t want to eat them, lol. Please keep them coming 💜

Dao Cafe is a beautiful and clean place with delicious food and drinks. The staff is welcoming and friendly, providing quick service. They offer a large selection of desserts, including the almond croissant, strawberry cake, and the Japanese millefeuille, which can be hit or miss but are generally tasty. The cafe also serves salty sandwiches and croissants, making it a good spot to relax. Customers highly recommend the macaroons, especially the One Piece-themed ones, and the crème brûlée tart, which has a decent crunch despite the sugar layer not being as crispy. The earl grey crepe cake is very good—light and not too sweet—and the pumpkin cheesecake latte is enjoyable. Some customers find the desserts expensive; for example, five small cakes cost around $50, and sometimes the plastic wrap pulls off a layer of whipped cream. Despite this, many still choose Dao Cafe for fresh desserts and snacks because there are few other options for decent cakes outside grocery stores. The place is spacious and welcoming, perfect for groups of friends, and the staff does a good job, although a smile now and then would be nice. Overall, Dao Cafe remains a favorite spot in the city for its tasty desserts and relaxing atmosphere.
