Just when you think you’ve experienced all the great eatery places in life, another comes along to blow one’s expectations sky-high, as this small gem of a restaurant/cafe did for me! Their homestyle meals and attention to quality, freshness and tastiness are truly exceptional! Their coffee is from another galaxy system! Wow!!!! The food gods will beam you up to a new level of culinary delight, at this heavenly spot!
This place was very pleasant.The location is off the busy strip and has a handful of parking. I recommend going as early as possible to enjoy the tranquility and get some parking.They greeted us really nicely and offered English or French service.We ordered a matcha latte, cafe latte, oat bowl, French toast and side crepe.All was tasty. The food and coffee here is just excellent — really elevated toasts, bowls and brunches. Nice treats too. It is also a great spot to stop while on a wander or bike ride or ski through Gatineau Park. For that reason, Palmier gets super duper busy on weekends and other popular outdoor-activity days. But I always find it worth it to try and squeeze in, because the food and beverage (and scenic patio spots in nice weather) are just so worth it.
