This was for certain the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten. I had the beef vermicelli with half salad/half vermicelli and my kiddo had beef pho. The salad part of my vermicelli was so flavourful with tons of fresh mint and cilantro. My kiddo was also blown away and finished every bit of the very large serving of pho. I will make a point of returning every time I am in Ottawa. Oh - and the restaurant was spotless!“

One day, I decided to give them a try, and BAM!. morning coffee was crisp yet flavorful. I only wished they had more options as far as snacks (or perhaps I should have asked!). The croissant could have been fresher, but it was the coffee that made all the difference. Well done!“

“Most mornings I go to a Starbucks and get my beverage of salted caramel cold brew. I have tried various locations, this location is the only one that can get it right. I believe the barista who makes it in the morning is Iris(?). Sweet lady, she seems to like working there, always smiling. She is the only one that gets the ratio between cold foam and cold brew right. Her cold foam making skills are clutch, makes it perfect every time where she balances the cream and salt perfectly that it tastes similar to ice cream. Hidden gem alert! La Bottega Café inside Home Société at Pinecrest Plaza is my new favorite spot for coffee. The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stumbled onto a secret little slice of Italy — cozy, stylish, and full of the most delicious aromas.

The coffee? Perfect. Smooth, rich, and made with so much care — easily one of the best in Ottawa. But the real star… the sandwich. Hands down, the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I had the grilled Amalfi Sandwich. Chicken, fresh mozzarella and pesto. You can tell everything here is made with love and quality ingredients.

If you haven’t been yet, go. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep all to yourself — but it’s too good not to share. ☕️ 🥪 🌟“

“Generally this is a good airport. The one annoying thing about this airport is the recorded English announcements concerning flight departures and other things. The person’s accent in these recordings is decidedly American. Really? We can’t afford or otherwise figure out how to have English recorded announcements in the airport in the national capital by someone who speaks English / sounds like a Canadian? Pretty sad. Pretty sure this is not the case for the French language announcements.“

“A quiet little hole in the wall place that makes you want to just bring a book and hang out in one of their recliners with a chai latte (theirs are amazing!). Their cookies are what Crumbl wish they could be. They are well cooked but still soft. Exactly what you want in a meal sized cookie.“
