For Christmas, we did the online shopping and ordering. On arrival, the lineup was long but very quick. The bakery items were fresh and delicious. Looking forward to trying their renowned tourtieres.

I got a 30% off discounted salad, a muffin and a 5$ latte and my order before tip was 27$. With 10% tip I paid 30$ for those 3 items. Would have been almost a 40$ order if I paid full price for the day old salad. I like the cafe but it’s on my growing list of places that I can’t justify the price for what I get anymore. Sad reality.
Bakery only. No seating inside. Picnic tables outside.

My favorite bakery to grab the most delicious quiche and scones. I recommend the place if you’re looking for delicious bakeries.

One of the best pastries I’ve ever had! My expectations were high since it’s always crowded when I pass by, and it was definitely beyond amazing! I’ll definitely go back :D I haven’t tried them yet, but they also have gluten-free options, which is a big plus. The prices are very reasonable for such high quality. I highly recommend!

For their 10th anniversary they hosted a couple baking workshops. I took the pie crust workshop. The instructors were lovely! I learned how to make the most amazing flakey pie crust. I came home with the most delicious apple pie which was made in the workshop. I hope they do more workshops in the future as it was so informative for us home bakers!

After a beautiful drive to Cumberland, we stopped at The Walnut Bakery for breakfast and wow, what a gem. Everything looked so good it was genuinely hard to choose! We ended up with a ham & cheese croissant, a ham & cheese scone, a feta & spinach quiche, and a pumpkin muffin. Every single thing was amazing. The pumpkin muffin was soft and moist without being overly sweet, and the scone was absolutely perfect. And, I’m picky about scones. You can taste the care and quality in everything we got. A wonderful family-run bakery that clearly takes pride in what they do. I’ll be a happy return customer!

Friday before Thanksgiving weekend was bustling and buzzing!
Besides vegetarian pies for Sunday and Monday, I got chicken pot pie (seriously sooooo delicious!), chocolate almond croissant (TO DIE FOR), as well as a couple more sweet baked items. I cannot tell you how delicious everything was! It's a bit of a trek for me but I honestly don't mind because it's so worth it! I'll be sure to let you know how the vegetarian pie and the samosa pie are after this weekend.
Thanks for the amazing YUMMY stuff you make❣️

This bakery is exceptional. The quality of their products is consistently outstanding — from their fresh bread to their pastries, soups, and sandwiches. Each item reflects great attention to detail and a true passion for baking. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and attentive, creating a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciate the thoughtful gestures toward families, such as allowing children to choose a small sticker during visits. It’s these little touches, combined with excellent food and service, that make this bakery a true gem in the community.

A perfect spot to grab a coffee and snack before jumping on the ferry.
Lots of delicious pasteries and they make a great cappuccino. Had a freshly made almandine croissant that paired well with my cap.
They are currently doing some construction but hopefully they are creating some seating area in the front of the house to make it a bigger cafe to sit and enjoy everything they make.

I've been hearing really good things about this bakery in the heart of Cumberland for years now, but was never able to make it work to get out to it. That all changed recently as I was able to get there mid-week on a couple of occasions and I have to say that I was not disappointed.
The people and service are excellent, even while they go through some major renovations, but ultimately it's the food that will bring you here. They make beautiful delicious baked goods.
The breads all look and smell delightful and indeed the Khorasan loaf I tried was excellent. The croissants are buttery, flaky and devine. I also love that they seem to incorporate items that are not common in Ottawa, like the apple pecan bostock I had. I'd never even heard of a bostock before, but holy crap it's delicious. Go get one while it's on the menu!
They change up the menu fairly regularly, so there's always something new and delicious to try.
There's still some construction going on as of September 2025, but it's not detrimental to the experience and if the parking lot is full, which it often is because this place is so good, there's street parking available in the area as well.
