It’s hard to come across a stellar, local, made in-house bakery. Everything I’ve tried from here is divine… pastries, bread, lattés, pies, and don’t get me started on how delectable the ice cream is (random considering it’s a bakery, but holy cannoli it’s good). I would also say everything is fairly priced - I spend more at Starbucks for that processed junk.
The staff are always so pleasant and helpful.
I’m very excited to see what their expansion is going to look like once complete! All it needs is a nice seating area and it’s gold.

On our way along our 'Guess Where Trip' we stopped at this quaint and picturesque bakery. The staff were welcoming in both French and English as we took in all the beautiful, fresh baked goods and many other unique products. We bought a selection of cookies, butter tarts and a amply sized date square. Every bite was perfection! The entrance is conveniently next to parking while they renovate to make a larger space with the option to sit inside and enjoy a coffee and fresh pastry. I highly recommend pulling off the 174 for a treat at the Black Walnut Bakery!

This is my favourite local bakery in Cumberland! I’ve been coming here for years and it’s become such a tradition for my family. We always pick up baked goods for the holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother’s Day… it’s just part of our routine now. Everything is always so fresh and delicious.
The staff is super welcoming and Isaac, the owner, is so friendly! He always says hi when I walk in. I also love the beautiful new addition and all the exciting plans they have coming up to grow even more. It’s so nice to support a local spot like this. Highly recommend!
