Our family was visiting for my son’s baseball tournament and we were so pleased to find this little hidden gem!
Food was fresh, flavourful and well portioned. It was devoured before I could even take photos but you will not be disappointed.
Knowing my foods being fried in beef tallow, and not see soils was a big deal for me, it’s hard to find quality food for a decent price as a family of 6.
One thing I was caught off guard about was ‘cash only’ which is totally fine; and luckily my teenager had cash and we were even a little short but they didn’t even care.
Just an all around kind, small town Gem!
We will forever remember this little spot and hope to visit it again one day!

Tonight I went to stubby grill and ordered mozzarella stick deep fried and jalapeño poppers and an order of fish and chips. Not only did I wait over 30mins my mozzarella sticks were empty. Very horrible experience. And won't be going bk.especially after last week when they screwed up my simple order of ice cream in a cone and put it in a cup. Pretty disappointed right now

Spent the day at Turkey point and came here on our way back home.
We got two double burgers, fries, two kids combos.
The wait time was horrendous. For a Fry stand I could understand a 15 minute wait but we waited close to 40. Would've been same time in and out at a real full-service restaurant.
Double burgers were disappointing. Unseasoned and tasteless. Generous sized burger but overall lacked complete flavor. We aren't sure if they just forgot to season the meat or what, but both of us were really disappointed in the grey meet that was served.
The fries given were mediocre at Best. Half of them were overcooked and close to burnt. The other half were just right. I appreciate that they were fresh cut but there has to be some sort of standard and consistency. Also very underseasoned.
The kids menu is the only reason we gave two stars instead of one. Kids menu pricing was reasonable.

Food was ok a bit pricey, I was a little disappointed with my chili fries, as they were not like any chili fries I had every had before. Also it is a cash only place so that was a bit disappointing. We had to go to gas station to get cash. Customer service was great. Didn't really take pictures this time as we ate In the truck. Felt thier chili cheese hot dog was a bit pricey also thier definition of chili was hambager with a bit of a sweet sauce no beens or any other chili fixings but otherwise was not bad. Thank you to the team.
Food was all right, had a poutine. Milkshake was awful. Supposed to be chocolate felt like I was drinking white milk with a drop of chocolate and water. Worst Milkshake I have ever had.

We enjoyed a couple of Gourmet Burgers on our trip down to the lake. Great place to stop for good food and quick service at a really good price. A very popular place for a scoop or 2 of ice cream Cash only.
