We stumbled across this beautifully elegant little Tea shop after visiting the antique place next door. What a wonderful surprise!! Decorated elegantly with rustic photos of the British royals, old tea cups, pots and saucers, antique tables and chairs, mismatched old china. The food was refined and fresh. Tastefully presented on china . Traditional British high tea is on the menu as well as ploughman's lunch!! It's all scrumptious and the staff are dressed accordingly in lovely aprons and dress. What a gem!!
So loved the whole experience... brought back many memories of British influenced childhood.
We stopped after a busy morning of thrifting and were utterly charmed! It was so pretty and so relaxing.
The food was amazing. Absolutely top notch. I had the poached salmon and my friend, the quiche. We were very pleqsed with our selections.
I even tried the Key Lime pie as it is one of my favourite desserts. The crust was exquisite. It was delicious and beautifully presented.
I can hardly wait to go back!
What an extraordinary treat!
What an absolutely amazing experience. Any wait you have at the beginning for your table or your order is 100% worth it. The service is phenomenal, the food is top tier, and those scones! Wow. Great work!!!
Great sandwiches, great prices and delicious coffee! Never noticed it before but a really great local spot! Lots of choices for toppings on your ice cream! Definitely worth a visit 😃
WOW! Every. Single. Thing. Was. Incredible. The decor reminded me of Old Ed's Warehouse in Toronto only this is the British edition. You can't stop letting your eyes wonder up and down the walls. To not come in nice clothing would be an insult to English Nannies everywhere. The service was above average! Everyone smiled and wanted to be a part of your experience. And then came the food. Not only brilliantly prepared and served but absolutely perfect for the atmosphere of the Tea house. I love every second of my lunch and will be back.
Went there for lunch. We took a chance with calling to make a reservation the day of and they were able to accommodate us. The owner who I spoke with on the phone was lovely and didn't laugh me off the phone when I asked if I could have the PB and J sandwiches (which is from the children's menu). The space itself is cozy and a lot of thought has gone into the decor. The staff are friendly and nice. There is a nice selection of options on the menu if you aren't in the mood for high tea. The food was delicious and generous portions. The best part was the scone that I had and of course the PB and J! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time!
We come back here frequently. The soups are always fresh and delicious. Each day and week is something different. Great selection of teas, a fun atmosphere, and top notch service every time.
This was the most enchanting and delightful dining experience from the atmosphere to the service but especially the food! I felt like I was a storybook character. I loved it!

Was excited to visit this place. The decor was awesome and I loved the antique shop attached to it. Every surface was decorated in memorabilia and collectibles and tea accoutrement. Unfortunately I was sorely disappointed by the food and fare. Despite being a Tea Room (says so in the name!) they did not have a tea menu. Instead, they just had a pile of tea boxes on a sideboard that you could find in any old grocery store. You don’t go to an English tea room just to have red rose and Twinings. I ordered a scone with Devonshire cream with my tea. Despite the menu specifically stating Devonshire cream, it was definitely regular whipped cream out of a can. Would not recommend this place and would not come again unfortunately, although I had high hopes.

We came across this lovely lunch venue by accident and had such a great experience here. It's a busy and well known place, beautifully decorated and absolutely fantastic food, so well prepared and presented and well priced. We would absolutely visit again and again if we are going by Deseronto. Apparently people travelling from Toronto to Montreal or Ottawa often stop in. Recommended calling for a reservation. The attached antique store is so nicely presented. We spent a few hours of delightful time for lunch and shopping. The restaurant is decorated in fine Victorian style, and offers High Tea as well as a delicious menu, including dessert and your own pot of tea to sip. We learned of the history of the space and business while visiting. Highly Recommended from us!
