I went in today to purchase two flat whites to go. I saw that the barista/cashier split a double shot of espresso between the two cups; each flat white should have a double shot (ristretto). Paying over $10 for one (1) double shot of espresso and some milk was disappointing and I expect more from a cafe that has a roastery affiliated to it.As someone who consistently buys Detour beans for home espresso making, I will be looking elsewhere for my beans (Pilot, Ruffino, etc.) going forward.

This is one of my favorite cafes. They always serve quality coffee and also offer a brunch menu. I love their baked goods and pastries, and the service is friendly. However, I do miss the old staff they had before the pandemic. The place has a cozy and chill vibe, perfect for get-togethers. It's located in the historical Dundas Town, formerly a town of Hamilton. I enjoy visiting this place during summer and fall as their outdoor patio is open. If you ever find yourself in Hamilton, be sure to check this place out.

My fave place to grab a dope latte, a DELISH cookie and do some work until I have room for THE DETOUR BREAKFAST. I could literally eat it every day. The staff is so cool and kind and knowledgeable. Go here if you’re in town!

Cute little coffee shop with baked goods and breads. Can get taken out or sit in. I went at end of day but was able to get a savory scone, chocolate chip cookie and a vanilla latte. All were delicious.

It's been years since I was there. I have memories of a wonderful experience. The ambience, the service, and the food were all excellent.

I was given a gift card for Detour and when I went to use it with my family, I was disappointed. This was our first experience at detour and the last. I am a positive out going person and I do expect a certain amount of customer service. When we were at the counter I explained this was our first time at the cafe and wanted to try some food. The individual at the counter made no suggestions, barely smiled, never told us there would be a half hour wait. Not once did this person come over to the end of the counter to let us know our order was on its way. You would believe, during a 30 minute period one would say “sorry about the wait”. Every person who ordered after us was ordering drinks. Therefore it could not have been an inconvenience to let us know the time our food was being prepared. The individual looked over at us while we were standing by the washrooms many times, but not once acknowledged myself and my family. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone. A smile and and a quick acknowledgment a few times is not asking much.

This was my first visit. We just popped in for a coffee break. The atmosphere was very relaxed and our coffee came quickly. Although we didn't order food, the baked goods looked delicious.

Late lunch for two . . . most flavourful turkey sandwich ever. Quaint . . . lots of antique fixtures and decor. Easy, relaxing week-end atmosphere. Biggest and tastiest chocolate chip cookie. Yes, I’d recommend to my Bridge Ladies and I would return . . . . in snowy weather for the horse drawn wagon ride down main street. TKS
